“God this room is cold”
Putting on some clothes I grab my phone and open up the web. After some searching I manage to find a thread on skills. Turns out I was right skills below level 5 in each rank level up much quicker than afterwards, and speaking of ranks there are four main ones Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Ultra rare, as well as others that aren't specified someone mentioned a Divine rank skill they got from dealing with in game churches as well as one guy with a skill like mine that doesn't mention the rank, people have been calling it un-tiered which makes as much sense as anything, I'm not the only person that noticed the discrepancy between the skills from the tutorial and the ones I have managed to generate. The thing is most people were offered a skill like my Dexterity skill. Such as Strength or Constitution, they all seem pretty straight forward but it seems no one has managed to unlock one of them in game from somewhere other than the tutorial. After I found this out I'm pretty glad I took it, while I may be limited to the generic versions of other skills at least I have this seemingly semi-unique skill.
I decide to figure out what else death entailed as well and this one was just as easy to find, it seems I'm not the only person who didn't bother asking the tutorial a bunch of questions. Anyway the punishment for death seems pretty low at my level, in essence when you die any skill progress you made since your last level up is thrown away so even if you were one throw away from leveling up Throw, it resets and you have to grind all over again. This doesn't apply to unlocking skills only leveling. Speaking of which you cant level up skills mid fight with monsters so you will only gain levels after you kill the monster or after you run away, which helps explain why I didn't get any levels from the snake thing since it killed me.
With nothing else pressing to take care of I just go through some random threads looking for something interesting, not much catches my until I came across someone who messed around a bit going to different in game npc stores to cross reference prices and quality, what he found was quite interesting in that it seems there is no set price on any given object. He found that pretty much every shop had different prices for what was ostensibly the same quality goods and couldn't find a specific variable that determined things. The only conclusion he could come to is that there is a dynamic economy in the game even for npc's that affected prices, followed by some speculation about what effect the players will have in the system.
After that I couldn't find anything else particularly useful other than the thread on speedrunning trying to determine the best thing to speed run to. The main contenders seem to be first to an unranked skill, first to a certain number of skill total, as well as first to collect all the skills show in the tutorial. it seems most people are gravitating towards first to ten skills and first to tutorial skills, I'm sure by the next time I log out there will be dozens of times for these category's up already.
After finishing that thread I see its about time to get back in game. After stripping back into the clothes I wore in the pod earlier I hop in and log in.
I find myself back in the tutorial space and pull up my interface go towards the player tools
