I really hate seeing stories on hiatus. What I hate even more is now kind of understanding why they do it.

Burnout is a hell of a thing. I love Starlit Odyssey, it is my first brainchild after all. But I can't deny the feeling of stagnation that comes with planning out a awesome story in my mind and then spending a year and realizing the 240k words I've invested into it is only half of the first envisioned part. I'd planned on the trip to voset being far shorter than it turned out being, and it made me realize just how far I would have to go to see the story to its conclusion.

And I'll be honest, I'm just not willing to go that far for a story that isn't very popular. There are other things I'd like to try and write.

One of the big issues is I've gotten really annoyed with swapping between first and third person. It's fucking tiring, and I don't think that many people like first person anyway.

From here on this story is going on an indefinite hiatus. If anyone has read this far, I thank you. I hope to one day return to it a more experienced writer and finish it.
