After reaching the bottom of the ladder which Terra had just climbed down from he looked at his surroundings.The floor was made of cobblestone while the roof curved in an arched shape. The corridor stretched down till he could not see anything but darkness. Terra gulped and shuddered at the chill in the air down in the dungeon. However he continued down the corridor pacing himself very slowly as to let his eyes adjust before he could see further.

"This is quite the place you got here Dreg." Terra heard a slight scuffle and quickly rose his sword and took a stance and waited.

1...2....3 seconds passed and Terra slowly brought his sword down as a slight sigh escaped his lips. "This place has me on edge." Before he could do or say anything further a heavy weight crashed down upon him making him lose his grip on his sword as it spun away.

Critical Hit: You have lost -35HP

*hiss* Terra looked to where the sound came from and he knew why this dungeon was expectantly called "Spider Queen's Lair"

"Of course a spider." Terra said ruggedly. Now Terra didn't hate spiders but neither did he particularly like them either. The spider in front of him however made him consider the not liking part. It stood at roughly his hip height and its eyes were a shining red. All its legs were covered in hair as was the body and its fangs protruded out of its mouth. The spider hissed at Terra and jumped. Terra tensed up but managed to jump to a side albeit ramming his body to a wall. He looked for his sword desperately and saw a glimmer in the dark. "That must be it." Terra thought "But how can I get past that." Terra had just lost 1/3 of his life from the spider he looked around and could not find anything that can help him in this situation.

Terra devised a plan but not knowing that it would work he had to make sure of one certain element before he could get to his sword. He stood up off the ground at the right time as the spider leaped at him once again. "Yes, it will work." Terra prepared this time sidestepped the jumping spider and took a few steps back to gain some distance.

Leaping Spider -10hp

The spider hissed angrily and jumped at Terra once more. "Its now or never!" Terra went towards the spider and duck rolled underneath the jump. He landed right next to his sword and thanked whatever god was listening as he promptly picked the sword up. Terra charged at the spider.

The spider turned around as Terra brought his sword and slashed at the spiders legs cutting a few off.

Leaping Spider -25hp

However, Terra wasn't done yet with his attack. He spun while still going forward after cutting off the spider's legs and cut into the body of the spider.

Level Up!

The spider turned to pixels and vanished while several notifications popped up in front of Terra. He looked to where the spider was and saw a single book. Terra picked it up and inspected it carefully before opening it. In doing so the book vanished from his hands.

You have learned the skill observe

Observe? more importantly a skill. "System call check skill observe"

Observe

Allows the player to see the stats of an enemy.

Observe only works on monsters lower leveled and/or equal to player,

If monster's level is higher than the player only the name shall appear.

Terra smiled as he read the skill because now he had a way to gain information on an enemy based on what appears. Terra distributed all his stats to agility before continuing down the passageway until he came upon a fork in the road.

"Now What?" Terra asked as he looked down both hallways. Terra was about to go to the right when he heard...

"C...y...."

"What was that?" Terra took a stance as he searched for the noise this time looking up as well.

"Come young one." A gentle voice boomed in his mid as he noticed a light shining at the end of the left tunnel. Terra rubbed his eyes once to confirm this spectacle before letting his feet drift down the left hallway.

"Who are you?"

"Come closer"

Terra continued until the light flashed blinding his vision for a few seconds. He stayed like that until the spots were gone from his eyes and looked upon a single round shape in the center.
