X landed on a sole rooftop in the slums of the kingdom. The shadow of another building shielded only one corner of the roof. If an ordinary person was here no one would have said anything, But, when you have a detect enemies skill things get interesting. X stared into that corner until long after a voice called out to him.
"Oi, your eyes hurt me man."
"Shut up and get out Y."
A man appeared from the shadows dressed in the same outfit as X. Code name Y game name unknown. Although they wore the same outfit the weapon under Y's cloak was a mace rather than X's preferred knives.
"Boy, you look like someone dragged you through a swamp X."
"I wouldn't be looking like this if you had told me about the guard."
Y looked at X in confusion. X looked at Y in rage.
"Guard?.....what guard? My informant told me of no such thing."
"Then why was there one Y?"
Y took a moment to contemplate. X was certainly not a person he could mess with without getting a knife to his head.
*Ping a knife landed right next to Y's face embedding itself in the wall.
.....scratch that he's angry already. Still he had no such info on a guard being stationed in front of the door.
"X I don't think the king is the only one who wants to protect that treasure."
X looked at him....then sighed. X started taking deep breaths and calmed down immediately.
"The guard was strong. Probably the same level as me Y. Her movements were that of an experienced player. It won't be easy now that she knows how I battle."
"I'll look into it X but, be careful. It seems we aren't the only ones moving in the shadows."

Mary was pissed. The scarlet empress, queen of the battlefield was angry. She had only came into this game to escape her reality of a pampered life of judgement. Where in here she wasn't the daughter of Atlas. In here she wasn't forced to prejudice. Yet, here she was pissed at this game that was much more like another reality.
How foolish she'd think to herself. Throughout her time in this game she strove to do things. She made friends, joined a guild, and when her first war came she participated and outshone her peers. After the fight with Thief X she went to a blacksmith to get her armor repaired. Of course that minister is paying for her repairs. Being thanked profoundly by the minister she didn't get to pursue Thief X. Mary stomped her foot down. What a disgrace for her to lose to a mere thief. Her blood is boiling now. Thief X won't get away a second time as she proceeded to walk back to the palace for the next night.

Terra managed to pick up his jaw after the revelation.
"That old m--....Dreg was your hero?!"
"Yes indeed he was and a dashing one at that." Sol blushed while remembering.
Terra couldn't even imagine it. There's something more important though.
"Trinity?" The goddess looked at him.
"What is it our champion?"
"I feel strange." Terra felt weird. His insides were telling him to go somewhere. A tugging on his entire being to go in a direction. Terra didn't know how he could tell but it was telling him to go.
"That would be "The Call". It is guiding you to where you need to be. It would be wise to follow." The Trinity told him these words before each of them starting to fade.
"Follow The Call and it will guide you on your journey."
Terra felt the ground shake as a passage opened up exactly where The Call was telling him to go.
He began to walk his path.
