"You come with me and Thomas, Endyarr goes with the other two" the Vice-Captain commanded, Ryan didn't take too kindly to the command but obeyed nonetheless. Some kids who can't manage being bossed around won't last long. - [Humans age to around Eighty before death, this is not the case for SpellSwords. SpellSwords are so different from regular people they are classed as a different race in some areas of the continent and not a Sub-race like Mages. Though even Mages can, though artificially, age longer than Humans, SpellSwords can naturally Age to around Three hundred if they do not die in battle, Which is rare. Mages though can age to their Thousands before dying from old age, while still looking as though they are in their prime.] -
The ground shook. Ice and Fire struck buildings and thrust into the sky, as did a few bodies. I ran to the action, hoping, and praying for Rina to be safe. Those three minutes must have been the longest of my life. I ran and ran until I rounded a corner of buildings, passing by blood splatters and buildings that looked deserted. There was the Commander of the group and one of the others on the ground, injured but not dead, the other two they had accompanied were burnt and riddled with ice spikes. My sister and Tyler were the only ones standing, Tyler had lost an arm and, thank the Goddess, Rina was unharmed. Then, suddenly, a sharp pain in my back, the point of a blade barely cutting into my skin. I infused my elbow with lightning and bashed the attacker's head, blasting them backwards into a wall with a thud and a symphony of cracks. I had broken their skull, back and shoulders in one attack, killing them instantly. For a moment I watched as his brain poured out of his skull, but I soon came back to my senses. I turned to see one of the escorting guardsmen had drawn his weapon, likely not with us then. Behind me, someone yanked the dagger out of my back and replaced it with a lump of cloth and snow,
"You'll be fine, Isaac. Now finish them off." Came the voice of my sister from over my shoulder, commanding and cold. Colder than the weather around me. I drew my sword as he attacked, I thrust my sword towards him only for him to dodge out of the way. He used the reach of his spear to keep me at bay, he attempted to skewer me but overestimated his reach, I dashed forward, grabbed his spear and pulled him towards me. I punched him in the gut and brought him to his knees. I interrogated and -admittedly- tortured the man. I shocked him with electricity in his leg. But he didn't scream, I looked up at his face only to see a wide grin, the spearman spoke "Maledicam tibi dimidium sanguinis" he threw his head back and began to laugh. A magic circle appeared on his forehead, his skull began to swell, his eyes started to pop out of his head, and blood surfaced in the white of his eyes as he continued to laugh. "Pereat!" he yelled before his head splattered all over the snowy stone floor.

"Thank you for the help, Isaac." Rina's regular soft tone began to take over once again, she smiled at me, to show she was right. "Where's your helmet?" I asked, "I took it off to eat, Where's the other guy and the Vice-Captain?" I answered by shrugging "They went to find the girl together with another guardsman, why?" "because some of the others we came with are traitors" Rina replied.
Tyler looked rough, he'd lost lots of blood, and it was still pouring from the stump that once held his arm. Thankfully he was still standing and conscious, he had started to stop the bleeding by freezing over his stump. She pointed to a door "In there" I nodded and threw the Captain, who had been lying on the floor with an injury to his head, over my shoulder and carried him through the doorway and into someone's kitchen. She rushed in, pushed past me and saw to the Captain's wounds as I brought in the surviving Guardsman, who had also been lying on the ground then helped Tyler inside. After which I stood back, I didn't understand all that stuff back then. She sighed in relief, whatever she was looking for, she didn't find it. She turned to me, "Don't just stand there. Find. That. Girl." I nodded. "Where do-" she cut me off before I could respond "The Raging Pony, Northside Tavern. Go." I nodded again, she may act cold, but she cares. I know she does. I left and headed North. The journey took half an hour, getting from one side of Midnas Town to the other.
