A young boy’s body floated in a vast pitch black void, the unconscious boy’s name was Ryuu, Ryuu Velis.

Ryuu’s body was giving off a faint glow, small light particles drifting and falling down from the low glow like tiny stars. If one looked close enough they could see through him. His glowing body was transparent like a ghost!

This was Ryuu’s Soul! Ryuu’s Soul had been transferred via the SoulDive as an electrical current from his body and had been sent into what , normal players of the game called the Rebirth Void.

The Rebirth Void was the starting point of the game, where you chose your “Rebirth” as one of the many races that existed and called the virtual world Soulistra home.

The NPC’s of Soulistra called players the “Reborn”, reincarnated mortals from another world. Blessed and chosen by the Goddess Lous, these “Reborn” (players) had new immortal bodies. It was the games of explaining respawning and players bodies.

The Goddess was the main A.I that watched over the virtual world and its people. Lous was the Goddess of Souls, she was in charge of introducing players to the game and the like.

The A.I’s in the game were so advanced the they could replicate human emotions….including the Goddess.

Suddenly a bright light lit up the black void, and as the light faded a womans figure could be seen.

The Goddess had arrived!

I drifted in and out of consciousness , my mind drifting in a confusing fog of pain and strange faces. I remembered the truck and then…pain..so much..pain….

it felt like my body had been hit by a wrecking ball, just trying to breathe was a struggle. I heard the distant sound of sirens and shouting. I faintly realized I was dying or very close to it anyways.

I couldn't move my body, everything felt numb after that roaring volcano of pain hit me.

Atleast I couldn't feel the pain anymore… I felt myself drifting back into the blissful darkness.

…..I woke up again….it looks like i had been out for quite a few hours …. Men in white suits surrounded me, I realized I was being carried somewhere…all i could see was a steel ceiling and the white men in suits.

One of the men in suits noticed me looking around and he gave me a strange look…. the man had a..syringe?….I felt panic bubble up inside me I wanted to MOVE!.

But my numb body refused to listen… the man injected something into me…and felt myself once more fading into the darkness.

………...*FLASH* !!

I awoke with a start my heartbeat echoing in my ears, the sudden warm light beckoning me to awaken. I looked around and only saw darkness, the light in front of me slowly taking the shape of a woman.

Suddenly my mind froze, my eyes widened as I saw the woman come into focus.

{It can’t be. Nope. That woman can’t be- }

The glowing woman spoke breaking my train of panicked thoughts.

All this information flooded my mind, and the panic inside me faded.

I realized I had been given a second chance of sorts, and by hell was I not going to waste it!

The news about my real body..worried me a bit, but ….. how many people can say they've been given the chance to actually LIVE inside a virtual world?

I felt my heart race, I nodded at Lous and she smiled.
