Within her dream world, Keshawna had been experiencing strange things. After being electrocuted by Cory, she blanked out saw only darkness. Then suddenly, she was surrounded by a surge of light. Next she “felt” a pulse. It seemed familiar somehow. Finally within her bright white dream space, she saw two flames form. One of blood red, and one of silver blue. The flames seemed to do battle with each other, and chase each other around the white space. They suddenly stopped, and faces formed within both flames as they came around her forming a double helix. From them came pulses of information. Within the spiral of blood red, Keshawna “saw” motifs of felines. Within the spiral of silver blue, she “saw” motifs of birds. The flames seemed to tell her the message, “I know you.” Then she “felt” another pulse, similar to the one from before. And she heard music. Songs she knew, and songs that were new. The music seemed to go on forever.
Suddenly the spiral extended towards the ceiling of her inner realm, and continuous fractal patterns began reverberating across the “sky". They started in the colors of the original flames, and eventually shifted to a neon purple color. As her body finally fully healed in reality, the very last cell filling it’s spot, she woke up. She looked around. “Where am I?” She looked around the room. Everything was so bright and clear! Suddenly she realized she wasn’t wearing her glasses. Yet her vision was perfect! She couldn’t wait to tell her…
Her family! Her mother! Now she remembered. Her strange dream made her forget what happened temporarily, but the shock rushed back in! “MAMA!” She broke down and began to cry loudly! This had an effect on her newly awakened Conceptual Energy, and effect she was unaware of. But the mansion heard and felt it.
Cherrae finally decided to be done with her shower when she felt the bad vibes coming from Keshawna's room. She had been in there two hours! She had been clean in the first 25 minutes. The rest of the time she simply had the steam shower on low, and meditated to music to enjoy the ambiance. But when Keshawna awoke, things suddenly got cold. And she was loud too! Cherrae quickly decided what to do. She hopped out of the shower and entered her room. Using the wall mounted intercom, she dialed Ameer in Lab 1. He answered after the first ring, as he always did with his wife. “Yes dear?” he said. Cherrae: “She’s awake and the first person she should see is a friend.” Ameer yelled. “TaeJean! She’s up!” He paused a second, then spoke again to Cherrae. “We will be right there.” He hung up.

A knock came at the door and Cherrae looked at the console screen to see who it was. She made sure her bathrobe was tightened. Opening the door she saw the young Mexican boy. “Miguel Giovanni Montana Valdez, I think this is the first time in the two months you’ve been here that you’ve ever come to talk to me.” He had short hair, not even peach fuzz, and a height of 5’6”. He wore his relaxation clothes. He was the only one of the four teenagers not in the lab. Everyone else was fighting photon constructs. The boy responded. “She’s being loud and annoying. Her energy and her voice.” Cherrae: “Have some empathy!” Miguel: “Me coming to you first is me showing empathy.”
Cherrae heard the back door open. She stepped out of her room and saw Ameer with TaeJean, Siobhán, and Ryu. They were wincing at her suffering. They felt it! Especially TaeJean! Her crying was echoing through the halls, and the pulses of her newly awakened Conceptual Energy rang of sadness.
Siobhán spoke first. “I thought it was bad outside of the house, but walking in here is instant depression.” Miguel looked at T.J. “She’s in room F”. TaeJean slowly walked up the stairs as he heard his friend crying. He was going to knock, but realized that would probably startle the already traumatized girl. He didn’t like people knocking on his door after all, when he had the luxury of having one. So he decided to speak up instead.
“Hey Keshawna, it’s TaeJean. I know you’ve been through a lot today. I look different but I’m me. I can tell you what's going on because I know you’re confused.” There was no answer for a few seconds, only more bawling. Then she tried to form words. “TaeJean…*sobsob*….my mother *sobsob*…. Cory killed her!” TaeJean realized what happened. He had no idea how to console her. So he decided to sit down, and slide down the wall. “I am so sorry to hear that. The one who did it has been taken down, but I know that doesn’t mean anything does it?” He took a deep breath. “I’ll be right out here. If you want to talk some time today, we can.” The other members of his new foster family headed towards their own rooms.
