Thankfully my biggest problem isn't going to be trying to blend in with the community, there wasn't a wall or gate I have to get through to get into the village. I do decide to take off my flash shirt and make it into a cape, the sleeves tied around my neck with the logo facing facing outwards. Hopefully emblems are a type of thing here and this will get people to assume I'm a type of adventerur, I think I look a little stupid but worse case is that no one cares and just think I'm weird. I make my way over to the road leading into the village, my plan is to act like a guy who was raised by his parents in the wilderness or some mountains. This would also mesh well with my emblem, it would be my clan logo or something. My backstory is all coming together now, I decided to leave my village Sasuke style to gain more power or something like that
I nod to myself at my impecible skills of lying, I do wonder if I should just name myself Sasuke at this point. Nah, seems a bit edgy. I shake my head to dispel my off topic thoughts as I get closer to the village, I put my hands in my pockets to seem a bit more imposing. I hope that I just don't come off as some kind of angsty teen, my 5 foot 8 inches doesn't help my point that I'm a serious 26 year old who only wants to have superpowers and explore the world. Simple goals.
I soon walk into the village, no one gives me a second look at my attire. I blend into the stream of bodies and I listen around, after listening to some vendors shouting I can confirm that people here speak english. I wander around for a while, following the flow of human traffic to see just how big this village was. This didn't turn out so well as this just lead to me walking in circles when the person I was following went into a shop and when I picked someone else and they just went back into the place I was before. This just lead to me sitting on a bench about 2 hours later looking rather pathetic, if I was wearing worse clothes then I would fit right in with the homeless community. I suppose this is what happens when you don't have random encounters or a special insider into this world, I decide to take this moment to take this moment to decide what to do next.
Obviously the Shop is going to be my rise to fame, biggest problem is how I should be able to buy things from there. I'm unaware of the currency here but I doubt it's the same as the Shop, it would be strange and inconvenient for my plans of replicating coins eventually. I look around at my surrondings while contemplating my plans, looking at the small plaza where the main shops seem to be located. Simple context clues like signs and architecture lead me to believe this place does have the 3 basic necessities I need. Equipment, Guild and a Bank. Equipment for obvious reasons as I'd rather not waste any coupons I get for some simple armor or sword that I could instead use on some powers, Guild for quests and a Bank for storing my massive amounts of gold. The Guild might become useless if my theory about monsters existing is wrong, but I doubt that people carrying around weapons wouldn't be as common if it was against other people. Long story short that would make my life easy as I could just call myself an adventurer incase anyone asks.
After some considering I decide to browse the Shop, basically typing in random powers that interest me. I even did a equipment search.
I found 2 important ones.
Name Ferrokinesis Product Type Ability Rank A Description Ability to manipulate metals however the user desires, works well with Geokinesis
Name Chastiefol Product Type Item Rank S Description The Sacred Treasure of the Fairy King, has ten different forms
First one I found was when I looked up Metal Manipulation on the search, basically this would allow me to manipulate any kind of ore to fit my uses. It would let me have coins of any type, even if they aren't made of gold. The other one was me just looking that up, Chastiefol is one of my favorite weapons from anime. Unfortunately its a level above what I have so it put a wet blanket on my happiness, but I suppose its for the best. It would be a great weapon but Ferrokinesis would ultimately be better in the long run, especially if this can apply to metals not on the periodic table.
Like vibranium
Name Captain America's Shield Product Type Item Rank A Description Captain Americas classic vibranium shield, immune to most modern Earth weapons. Does not make the user immune to explosions that go beyond the shield.
Ah, so tempting.
I decide to get off my ass and start actually doing something with my second life, tearing myself away from the window shopping. I wipe my pants clean and get back into the stream of people, making my way back out into the wilderness. I take the same way I came in and went back into the trees, I've decided to keep some privacy to myself while I do what I want to do.
I've decided to go with Ferrokinesis for now, it seems to be the best option.
I walk back into the forest a bit more before taking a seat with my back to a tree trunk, resting my feet for a bit. I get out my coupon and give it another look, finalizing my decision for the last time. I pull up Ferrokinesis again and take a wild guess at what I should do.

I shake off the shivers that this is giving me, like opening a random box on christmas day. Either its a new video game, or a pair of socks. That might be a little extreme but this situation is a little extreme.

Huh, a package arrived.
It's a regular cardboard box, like with tape holding the flaps together. You'd think with the ability to give normal people superpowers they'd be able to skip this part and give it to me directly, I suppose this is part of the proccess? I shrug and go along with it, tearing off the tape and opening up the flaps. Inside was a small oval object, its comically small with what I assume it will do to me. It has a clear container and inside it is a swirly greyish substance, swooshing around when I flip it. I give it a inspection all around but nothing seems to be wrong with it, I guess this was the most effective way to get me superpowers. I wasn't much of an expert on this so I just take this at face value and throw it down the hatch.
I close my eyes and grit my teeth, expecting some kind of pain from the possible DNA rewriting process. I soon lie down on the grass incase I pass out, even Magneto can be choked to death.
Ah shit, I can become Magneto. Well, practically at least. He has a higher level of control, he can control magnetic fields so he could possible control much more then metals. I think. I'm not a scientist so what do I know. Well, I don't feel any different so I'm not sure if its already happens or what.
I relax my teeth for now and open my eyes, letting the setting sun reveal some stars. I recognize none of them, cementing the fact further that this was not earth. My stomach grumbles to remind me that I didn't eat today, nor drink. If all goes well food should become the least of my problems, my biggest problem is the fact of my lack of coupon in my back pocket. I've only noticed it now but it just appeared to disappear from existence, I suppose the System is a bit more lazy on the removal of things. I put my hands underneath my head and close my eyes once more, the last time for that night as I fell asleep with better dreams on my mind.
-Timeskip-
I was woke up with a start, the classic pain of sleeping on the floor interupting my slumber. At least thats the only pain I'm feeling right now, I half expected some kind of goblin to take me out in my sle-
"Grrrrrrr"
Ahh, a wolf works as well I suppose, I look to my right to spot a brown wolf giving me the death stare. His teeth are bared, ready to tear me apart. I decide to take this moment to activate my shonen powers and slowly, while still looking at the wolf for movement, bring my hand to point at the wolf. I focus and search for something that wasn't there before inside of me, ferrokinesis to be exact. I find something but its not inside me but rather below me, below the surface of the earth to be exact.
I feel some pockets of what I presume to be metal, different pockets have different kinds of feelings. I reach out for the nearest pocket, it feels kind of sour and a bit dull besides that. I have to take some time to reach out to it, time I seem to be running out of. The wolf has starting circling my still seated body, I'm afraid that any big movements will set it off further so I stay seated in despite my flight response yelling at me to listen. Not soon enough I get a hold of the metal, almost like I have a hand starting to drag it up to the surface. I suppose if I had Geomancy this would go faster as I could just move the earth out of the way, but I suppose thats just the System's brainwashing starting to take ahold. I decide to take down the more physical threat though. I can feel the rumbling of the ore now, I redirect so when it bursts out of the ground it'll impale the wolf as well.
The wolfs keen instincts weren't required for it to know that something bad was about to happen, unfortunately before it could scram the ore soon arrived. To be honest it was less of a piercing and more of a bludgeoning using 100s of pounds of metal. The stalagmite of ore, now that I'm seeing it I think it might be copper, that pierced the ground had a wolf on the top of it. The wolf seemed to have died on impact, luckily. At the moment this was my first kill, I've gone hunting before and seen stripped deers but I've never actually shot one before. I look away from the body, and get up on my feet.
I take control of the copper once more, my adrenaline now wearing off and the shock of being able to do this is pretty tame. I suppose if anyone had their first use of superpowers be taking away a life then they wouldn't be to excited about it. I take the copper, or some kind of orangish metal, and crudely shape it into a scoop using my hands as a sort of clay molder. I feel a little resistance when shaping it but nothing substantial, almost a bit like kneeding dough. Luckily the vein of ore was rather large, maybe the size of a car so I had plenty to complete the task. I guide the scoop to take a bit of dirt out of the ground, it becomes significantly easier when I start using hand motion. Avatar style.
It took less than a minute to put the wolf into the grave, almost criminally easy with what equates to an excavators scoop. I would give it a prayer but I don't know how effective it would be with Jesus being in a different universe, I settle with making a copper cross at the top of the now buried grave. The cross is crooked and flimsy but I make a promise to come back later to work on it, for now I have other plans to make sure it's death was not in vain.
I take stock of my new powers, I feel no different and after giving a quick inspection I find no unwanted tattooes or other marks on my body. I do a stretch or two but find no probelms with my body muscle or tendon wise that I can feel, last thing is my mental state. I sit down and cross my legs in a psuedo meditation and start reaching out into the earth again, I feel the veins of ore once more. Now I can recognize which ones are the copper like one, its the kind of flavor I feel from it. Kind of like tasting the rainbow situation.
I reach out for a different type of vein, this one tasting a bit sweet like syrup and tastes as dull as the copper. Thanks to Toph from the Avatar I can deduce that these are probably the impurities in the ore, this also corresponds with the dullness I get from copper as well. Hopefully I can eventually get a power like Geomancy or something that allows me to seperate, I could probably do it now but it would be akin to trying to get gum out of hair. Hard and probably not worth it, this lets me have an appreciation for blacksmiths who do this manually. Those guys and girls are crazy skilled. I can emulate their skills though by just molding the metal into what I want, although they would probably work better as just brute force.
The wolf can attest to that.
The ore eventually reaches my position, the earth rumbles once more as the vein penetrates and brings itself up next to my pile of copper ore.
Ahh, gold. Or pyrite, hopefully not pyrite.
Crap, I didn't think about that. What if they have different types of metal thats only found in one place and use it as the currency? Shiiitttt. Probably not, I'm just being a bit paranoid. Even if worse comes to worse I can become a walking locator of valuabel ores, I can probably just memorize the taste of a ore and just look around for them. This would also go well with my goal to travel the world.
Oh yeah, its all coming together now.
Jokes aside I could also become a prominent adventurer as well, Magneto did pretty well for himself after all. I decide to put the ore back into the ground for safe keeping, the disturbed earth soon only being the evidence as I bury the ore 6 feet under.
I decide to walk into the village, a crude gold coin being rolled across my fingers. Basically a grip strengthening exercise to test my endurance of how long I can use my powers doing a minimal task.
