After waking from his restful sleep and cleaning up in the pond nearby, Yun Fei began walking towards a different part of the forest with his new dagger.
He planned to hunt some animals to eat meat and then devote himself to physical training in order to get better mobility in his daily life and getting stronger in any way he could.
The way he decided to hunt his prey was very unique. His plan was to make the prey look into his eyes to shock them with the ability of his eyes and then kill them while they were unconscious.
Although the animals in a forest are like fish in water, very adept at using the natural flora to hide themselves and are extremely hard to spot, this kind of camouflage was the same as being bare in front of Yun Fei's eyes.
After walking along the pond, he finally spotted a rabbit with its back turned towards him sitting near some shrubs.
Yun fei carefully and quietly walked towards it. The rabbit turned its head just as Yun fei was 100 meters away from it and their eyes met.
It was like the rabbit was struck with a bolt of lightning as it just fell over with a soft plunk. Yun fei went towards the rabbit, he quickly finished the job with the dagger and then tied it to his waist.
After killing a boar, Yun fei was satisfied by the amount and he dragged the hog-tied boar back to the cave.
After clearing the innards of the rabbit he had killed with the dagger. Yun fei roasted it on the fire. Yun fei didn't have the luxury to eat meat in the monastery and wasn't even able to eat till he was satisfied.
Although he didn't feel hungry, he wasn't also able to fill his stomach fully on any normal day at the monastery since some of the higher monks babbled about gluttony and what not.
As Yun fei took the first bite into the rabbit, He was stunned at how delicious it felt to him, even without any kind of seasoning or spices, it still felt better to him than the food at the monastery.
After finishing the rabbit, he didn't stop for a moment and started preparing the Boar meat.
Yun fei felt full when he had eaten almost half of the boar. Yun Fei realised that his appetite was much different from a human and his body probably needed a lot of food that he was never able to get.
After the nutritious breakfast, He decided to train himself physically, as although his right leg didn't work properly, he could still train the rest of his body and get better at manoeuvring himself and getting better at controlling his bodyweight.
Two months had passed as the river of time kept on flowing, Yun Fei kept at his basic training and hunting in the area near the cave.
He had gradually extended his area of movement as he toured the forest. Although Yun Fei kept trying to sense Qi and trying to cultivate, Yun Fei wasn't able to succeed.
Will I ever be able to cultivate like this, I haven't been able to sense Qi. Was the feeling at that time near the dagger really Qi He wondered to himself.
After spending two months in this forest, Yun Fei's body had become stronger and his muscles defined.
The progress in the abilities of his body surprised him as he could feel that his rate of progress of strength wasn't as slow as an average human, but this wasn't the most surprising thing.
The most surprising thing to Yun Fei was that the deep and dark wounds on his right leg that made him unable to walk were slowly closing in.
The flesh was filling the cavities and correcting itself, the bones crackled periodically as they struggled to correct the age long infirmity.
As Yun Fei noticed this he was surprised but even more so he was ecstatic. He never knew that he had such regenerative capabilities, this was the first time that Yun Fei felt good about not being a human.

Humph, what are humans. The capabilities of my body are much better than any human
With his leg getting a little better, he was now able to put some weight on it and was finally able to walk without the stick he still had a limp but he was much faster and dextrous than before.
These few days I have been able to finally eat my fill and supply my body the energy it needs, I found those herbs at the other side of the pond too. In my life in the monastery, I was never able to have food till I was full but here in this forest, I have been eating a lot of food. My appetite is still on the rise.
Yun Fei credited the rise of his regenerative abilities to the nutrition that he needed but couldn't get in the monastery.
Although Sun Ming had known that Yun Fei had this kind of physique so he wasn't worried much about Yun Fei's disabilities, he wouldn't have imagined that Yun Fei could healed this fast.
Although this was a very happy moment for him, he still felt a little down because he wasn't able to progress in cultivation, the whole two months.
Qi is like an enigma, I should put my mind off it for some days and then try again. Since I can't focus on Qi, I should try to get some real combat experience rather than relying on just the ability of my eyes.
Deciding to increase his combat experience with the plan to fall back to the ability of his eyes in case anything went very wrong. Yun Fei set out in his animal skin robes with his dagger sheathed in a scabbard he created out of animal skin.
Looking like a barbarian with dishevelled hair, He slowly went towards the north from his cave since he had already decided the perfect target against which he could temper his skills.
One thing Yun Fei had gotten very good at in the past two months was climbing trees. He kept climbing trees to scout out the area and to look for movement of his prey, he figured that since his eyesight was so good, it would be a waste to not use it.
After walking 3 kilometres, he climbed a tree with mostly the strength of his three limbs and only using the right leg to maintain balance.
Yun fei looked around to ascertain his position before he moved to another direction towards which he thought he would be able to find what he was looking for.
He looked forward, at a distance of 500 metres to his front he could see marks on yellow skin, a jaguar with its mouth buried inside the torso of a deer, the eyes of the deer were wide open but without the slightest hint of life were facing towards Yun Fei's direction.
Looking expressionlessly at the jaguar gorging at the innards of the deer, the only thing Yun Fei felt was that he must never become a deer to a jaguar and must always be the one who was preying than to be preyed upon.
squatting behind a wide tree, he thought of how he would confront the jaguar, he planned to go and mess with the jaguar right as it was in the middle of it's meal.
Even domesticated predators growl if someone disturbs them when they are eating, Yun Fei wanted to do just that to gain experience in frontal combat.
He had set out to test himself against the jaguar, to do so while wielding the infallible dagger would have defeated the point. He resolved to fight with his bare hands and only use the dagger as a last measure.
The first step of his plan was simple, to anger the beast into a confrontation. Yun fei shimmied and climbed through the dense foliage and drew near the jaguar which was engrossed in its meal.
He picked up a fist sized stone from the ground and sent it flying, striking the beast’s temple. As the huge cat howled and jumped back Yun Fei dashed out of his cover and grabbing the leg of the lifeless deer dragged its cadaver behind him.
Seeing this, the already irritated beast grew berserk with rage
“This thing dared to interrupt my gorge and steal my kill.” was what it thought but in a much simpler way than humans would.
Flexing its rippling muscles the jaguar pounced on Yun fei who was standing at the ready.
Even though Yun Fei was prepared, the sheer speed and strength of the pounce cowed him as he messed up his timing and failed to dodge, getting clawed deep into his chest.
He felt the searing pain radiating from the wound and that seemed to clear his head as he turned again to face the jaguar who had sailed through the air past him.
What followed was a pathetic game of cat and mouse as Yun Fei struggled to dodge the jaguar’s endless strikes. In front of Yun Fei’s eyes the speed of the jaguar was nothing, to Yun Fei it seemed as if it were moving in slow motion.
Even so, at the beginning Yun Fei’s long uncoordinated body could simply not keep up with his heaven defying senses.
As the fight went on he finally started getting used to his new strength and in a sudden epiphany grew overwhelmingly confident, Yun Fei synced his breathing with his body and concentrated on feeling the weight of his own body readying himself for the final exchange.
This time the jaguar came in low darting in a zig zag line and leapt languidly, straight for Yun Fei’s jugular.
YunFei waited till the last moment, maintaining a loose stance watching closely for the opening he knew would come. Just as the jaguar leapt, Yun Fei made a quick step forward with his good left foot and shifting all weight onto it.
He threw out of his right hand like an iron hook as he rotated his body about his pivoted left foot.
Yun Fei's hand hooked under the jutting jaw of the feline and while using the momentum that he accrued from rotating his body while rising a little from his semi crouching position, he slammed the jaguar by its neck before his left feet.
A clear ringing snap echoed, announcing the end of the sovereign of this swathe of the forest.
Rising up while panting, Yun Fei took in a deep breath and roared his victory to the deathly silent forest.
