Yun Fei prepared himself for the violence ahead. Crouched on his haunches, he stared holes into the boulder behind which the archer was hidden.
Long ago he had figured out an interesting way to utilize his Qi. By flooding his leg muscles with Qi, he could increase his speed.
Recently while cultivating in the inn and later in Devanshu's hideout he had figured out another way to achieve the same effect.
Using his newly excavated Qi gathering veins he could push off the ground with a singular burst.
It severely increased his dashing speed.
In this moment of life and death he decided to try both of the methods out together. Looping up his Qi circulation in his legs he focused, diffusing Qi out from his Meridiens into his muscle fibres.
Just as Yun Fei readied his dagger and pushed off the ground, the eflux of Qi form his sole pores launched him into an uncontrolled rush.
Struggling to control his speed Yun Fei rounded the boulder; there was nothing behind it.
He noticed the arrow unleashed by the archer miss him widely. His speed had thrown off even a master archer.
The archer had withdrawn backwards from the boulder in preparation for an attack like which Yun Fei attempted and he would've probably finished off anybody other than Yun Fei with this arrow.
Alas, even though Yun Fei's eyes weren't facing the archer initially, his eye technique still allowed him to have a 360° view using which he was able to pinpoint the assailant immediately.
It was now a race between the archer and Yun Fei. If the archer was able to draw an arrow before Yun Fei reached him, he would have a chance of comeback but if Yun Fei reached him before that, the fight would be over unless the archer could overpower Yun Fei in close combat.
Ignoring his feet which were throbbing in pain, after his blindingly fast dash; Yun Fei raced towards the archer who was farther than he thought. This time, he controlled the strength he exerted in order to maintain a modicum of control on his trajectory.
Dashing towards the archer with very fast steps, Yun Fei could see the flustered look on the face of the archer probably due to his excessively rapid speed.
He could predict that even with his speed, the archer would be able to shoot a second arrow before he was able to reach him.
Yun Fei was now almost assured of his victory. Even though the archer could draw a second arrow, Yun Fei was confident in his speed.
He couldn't maintain this state for very long, but it still was enough time to put this fight to an end. He was very soon upon the unfortunate archer.
When he was around 10 metres from the archer, the bowstring was finally taut and then swiftly released. Yun Fei however just did what he had thought off, he leaped.
Yun Fei leaped just like the jaguar that he had his first real fight with in the forest. It had been almost 2 years but Yun Fei would never forget the sheer speed and movement which had then caught him off guard, leaving him with a deep wound on his chest.
The archer too was surprised by Yun Fei's swift leap. To the archer it seemed too fast for even his eyes to follow properly.
No matter how surprised the archer was, he still didn't release his arrow prematurely. He turned his bow once again towards the place Yun Fei had leaped towards.
This time too however the archer couldn't release his arrow since Yun Fei leaped diagonally once again, reaching very close.
The archer was finally pressed for time as this was the last opportunity he would get to release an arrow. That's what he did, he released an arrow as soon as his bow turned towards Yun Fei.
The result? Yun Fei simply ducked to let the arrow pass by a hair's breadth right above his head. His lips curved into a smile as he covered the distance left and slashed his dagger from the side.
Yun Fei would've just stabbed this archer to death if there wasnt a contest going on. He had recieved information from Devanshu that the higher ups don't look favourably upon murder in the competition.
He wanted to rise as fast as possible in the association and also wanted his life in the association to be smooth, so he didn't aim to kill the archer with a fast stab and used a slash instead.
The archer did what Yun Fei had already predicted he would do. With both of his hands on his bow, he tried to block the dagger.
The dagger cut through half of the bow easily, showcasing its unparalleled edge.
Yun Fei though didn't care if the dagger he slashed using his left hand achieved anything. He threw out a punch with his right hand, lightening fast slamming into the solar Plexus of the archer.
A painful groan echoed as all the wind was knocked out from the archer's lungs. Yun Fei grabbed the collar of the archer's robe in his right hand, lifting the surprisingly frail archer into the air and slammed his back down on the ground.
Yun Fei sat on top of the wheezing body and held his hands down on the ground.
That was tougher than I had thought. Maybe I should've used the Ruler's Jolt after all. I thought it would be better to polish up my other skills but I guess I'm not strong enough to think that way yet.
The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
Sitting on the stomach of the archer he suddenly realised something and corrected his wrong assumption.
This archer was not a he, he was a she. Yun Fei had assumed that the archer was a man and he didn't really consider anything else.
This was not because Yun Fei held some kind of inherent bias against women but it was just that women didn't really exist for Yun Fei for the most of his life.
In the monastery where he had spent 14 years of his life, the only one who had talked about women had been Sun Ming but the talk was fantasical for Yun Fei since he hadn't even seen a women in his life.
Sun Ming though had done a good job in teaching Yun Fei about the matters of men and women. He could still remember Sun Ming's lecherous laughter as he drew images on the ground using a stick to show Yun Fei how kids were made.
He didn't see any women in his 14 years in the monastery, he had seen caricatures and statues but he wasn't going to count those. After that he had spent 2 years in the forests and he obviously wasn't going to find any women there.
The first woman he had seen in his life had been Lin Xue and now the first woman he had touched had become this archer.
She seemed to be in the the 4th stage of Qi condensation, but she was strangely inept at close combat.
Just because of the change of gender of the archer, Yun Fei started feeling somewhat awkward. Although he had gotten used to the presence of women during his time in the city, they were still largely a novelty for him.
His mental state wasn't helped by the person squirming below him as she cried out in her sweet voice.
"Unhand me you beast, what are you trying to do with me."
Yun Fei looked down on the archer whose hands he had pressed on the ground on the side.
She had shoulder length brown and springy hair and her bright eyes matched the colour of her hair. Her height was about 160 cm and her stature was frail.
It wasn't immediately obvious to Yun Fei that she was a woman was because she was wearing men's clothes and her breasts weren't visible to Yun Fei even with his superior eye prowess.
Now that he gave her another once over, he could see that she really didn't have anything much to display in that department. She wasn't completely flat though, there still was enough to show that she wasn't a man.
As Yun Fei was thinking about this, the girl once again cried out in an indignant tone.
"Where are you looking you pervert."
He looked at her small face that carried a hint of rage on it as some thoughts churned in his head.
Either this woman is completely stupid or she doesn't think that I am big enough of a threat.
Although Yun Fei had decided on the basis of the information provided by Devanshu to not kill this woman, it didn't mean that he was going to let her walk all over him.
She was the one who had attacked him first and now she was the one who had gotten captured. However, with some kind of mental gymnastics, not only was she not even a bit afraid she was speaking to him in an admonishing tone.
Since this was the first time he had handled a woman, Yun Fei had realised just how frail they were; her hands were very thin and he didn't even have to use much force to keep her pinned.
Their was just no comparison between their physical capabilities. Since she had irked him, Yun Fei had decided to return in kind.
Listening to some more of her admonishing comments, Yun Fei pinned both of her hands above her head using only one of his own.
With his now free hand, Yun Fei slapped the girl which didn't have the situational awareness to realise her own position.
The scene grew quiet just after the crisp sound of the slap rang out, but Yun Fei slapped her once again. This time with the back of his hand for good measure.
"Do you understand your position now?"
The archer girl had surprise on her face initially, like she didn't expect Yun Fei to do something like this. After the second slap, her surprise turned to horror and then to dread.
She finally realised that her physical well-being and her life was in someone else's hands. This feeling was definitely very effective as her rage was instantly quashed and now all she felt was fear.
As his eyes roamed over her body Yun Fei was siezed by a strong curiosity.
She was the one who ambushed me right, why should I care about her. This should be ample payment for her transgressions.
Thinking this, Yun inched his hand closer to her heaving chest. While she stared at him wide eyed in fear, he slipped his hand inside her bodice, sampling the sweet flesh of her mounds.
His hand palmed her softness as an expression of satisfaction flitted across his face. Feeling the hard nubs of her retracted nipples, he pinched them out rolling them between his finger and thumb.
The girl whimpered in fear,
"Please… let me go…. please don't tarnish me, take everything I have."
Jolted out of his pleasure by the pathetic plea in her voice, Yun Fei hurriedly withdrew his hand covering her up.
Speaking up in a failed attempt at being authoritative he said," Do..Don't joke with me. This was just your punishment. You should consider the consequences of your actions from next time."
Yun Fei tied up her hands behind her back and flipped her over preparing to tie up her feet when his eyes where attracted to her shapely derriere, which was sticking out due to her awkward position.
As he was tempted by her well framed, juicy globes. Sun Ming's word rang out in his ears,
I'll tell you what kid, if you haven't felt up a woman's arse you have failed as a man. Remember these words well, the ass is the best, always.
Unable to stop himself, Yun Fei cupped her jutting backside with his hand. The springy muscle, the soft depression caused by his hands. The firm glutes tightened up in surprise at his touch, as she let out another whimper.
Unable to stop himself, Yun Fei took another page out of Sun Ming's book. Slipping his hand almost lovingly around the tied of girl's waist, he deliver a tight slap to her right cheek, following up with another to her left.
The girl had started sobbing from the shame and embarrassment of being spanked by an unfamiliar man in the wilds.
Controlling the fire that had lit up inside him, he successfully pulled off a strict voice, barking out,
"That's your final punishment. Now we are square. Don't attack me again though...I won't be so soft next time."
Struggling with his emotions as he reveled in the feedback from her tight ass, Yun fei finished hog-tieing her.
Feeling slightly ashamed he left the still sobbing girl strung up on a tree.
Making off with all her valuables, a pang of remorse struck Yun Fei as he thought,
MaybeI took it too far. but he soon quashed that thought.
No, it was only fair. She was the one who attacked me first and could've even killed me. It's only fair that I get to decide what happens to her.
Being soft to your enemies is inviting danger to yourself. I won't show any mercy to people who target me.
A few moments later he glanced at his hand
Still, that was the best feeling I've ever had. I never knew women were such beautiful creatures.
Lin Xue must feel even better. Her looks and her body look much better than this girl.
Pulling his head out from the clouds he took inventory of his loot.
The city issued talisman used to track holders of its sister token, was a piece of black jade with runes carved all over it. The holder of this talisman would be able to see flashing strobe lights pinpointing the tokens withing a certain radius.
This talisman was really helpful in finding out the tokens, the range wasn't too big but it wasn't too small either. Yun Fei could think of some good ways to use it.
The girl was also carrying a pouch of posion, Yun Fei had discovered that this poison was a paralyzing poison instead of a lethal one.
He guessed that this was because lethal posions weren't things that were easily available. There were some other miscellaneous items too which could be of use later.
Planning about what to do next. He looked at the talisman that he acquired from the archer. Smirking to himself, he continued ahead.
