I tried to calculate roughly how long it takes for her to regenerate. That was a pain so I just left it. It was weird seeing even life-threatening injuries heal. I guess that stops people from taking advantage of it like I was hoping to. That's fine however, healing isn't rapid. I proceeded to cut off her limbs and then cauterized it. I'm not sure if limbs heal back, but if nerves can, maybe so can limbs. I could see the entrance gate of the village a few hundred metres away, heading off the main road I walked into the forest finding a good spot before burying her and covering her with leaves and branches. I'm quite surprised by the fact the pain and blood loss hadn't killed her to be perfectly honest.
I continued moving to the front gate and now instead shifted to a jog.
"Halt! State your business" One of the guards at the gate stopped me.
"I come as a traveller"
"Do you have any Identification card on you, traveller?"
"Identification card? Can't say I have ever heard of it"
"I see, you must be a summoned..."
"What was your rank of summoning? It can't be high since you weren't summoned to the best of places"
"Do I have to answer?"
"No, just personal curiosity"
The guard the beckoned me closer and left guarding the gate to the other guards. I was led into a room with a large boulder that was placed against the wall.
"Place your hand against the stone"
I do so, the stone glowed red of a while and then stopped.
"I see, so you're a no class? Hmm, a large proportion of the summoned are given a class beforehand"
With that said, he led me outside, apparently, people in this world also receive a class in a ceremony when they reach the age of 10. Most likely, people here including this guard in front of me, have stats much much higher. I even won against that assassin with luck, if she had electric resistance, I wouldn't have won.
The spire wasn't that far from the gate so the guard personally led me there, which was weird considering he had to guard the gate, well I wasn't complaining though. The stone also must have a function I wasn't aware of, how else did he assume I am not an enemy.
For safety precautions, it also seems that although I may be able to gain a class, I am not allowed to use any of the regular private dungeons located in the town without 10 years proof of citizenship. The best form of Identification is, of course, an adventurers card.
"We are here, you're in luck, currently the spire isn't being booked for use, simply place your hand on it"
We finally arrived at the spire, a large black obelisk with a sheen stood straight with a rope barrier surrounding it.
I ducked under the rope and placed my hand against the spire. At that moment it felt as if the spire had gained a soul, slowly the spire seemed to change state into a liquid as it engulfed me into its own darkness. I was forced into a peaceful sleep.

I opened my eyes only to be greeted with a plethora of classes. I somehow knew the rough description of each class and how they worked in terms of status weight. What I mean by status weight is which stats of mine receive the greatest increase per level up.
For example, The basic class of warrior is
[A Strong-willed wielder of physical strength able to brave the fear-inducing in order to save themselves or their Companions, They, however, trade their agility for their Herculean strength]
{Gain Skill-Enraged Cry}
{Gain Skill-Shield Bash}
{Gain Skill-Heavy Swing}
{Strength-Stamina Distribution}
I, of course, had a difficult time choosing a class, I think maybe more than an hour was spent on me trying to decide. In the end, I chose the class which seemed the most interesting to me.

The world regained colour as I was released from the spire. It felt oddly discomforting to be out in the real world after the relaxing experience in the spire.
"Ah, welcome back..."
"Good...to be back"
"After you get used the crappy feeling of real life follow me"
Eventually, after battling the discomfort, I followed behind the guard before eventually arriving in front of a large Building. In front of the shop stood a statue seemingly made of metal of a man on one knee holding onto the hilt of a blade. He had a crown atop his head and what seemed like a dragon's head placed next to him.
"Well this is where we part ways, What's ya name?"
"Axle, I don't have a last name", Well I say that but I just don't remember it
"Well, I have a good feeling about you, usually it takes a while for the registration to take place but just give them my name for reference, It's Blyke Kruger, by the way," The guard donned in armour finally took off his helmet, he had dark red hair and green eyes, he was much younger than I imagined maybe 18 to early '20s.
I shook the hand he had outstretched.
"Well, I hope the holy rulers of fate smile on your path"
"Likewise"
After going our separate ways I walked into the guild. The outside looked like a large, white, polished mansion. The entrance was what seemed like a modern version of a tavern door.
The interior was just as clean looking as the outside. There was a bar to my left, which suddenly became silent as I walked in as if they were starved wolves staring at fresh meat, either that or they were just curious.
I followed the signs and continued walking to the 2nd floor where the reception was.
There was a decently large line but there were 3 different counters so the line moved quickly.
I finally arrived at the counter and was greeted by an attractive woman with pink hair and blue eyes, she was sitting down, so her height was difficult to establish. She was wearing glasses and what seemed to be the receptionist uniform, black with white stripes and a red rose, placing above her chest pocket.
"Welcome to Illif Adventures Guild, How may I help you today?"
"I'm here to register as an adventurer"
She handed me a form and I had to fill in basic info such as my name and if I had any references, etc. I handed her the paper after I was done.
"B-Blyke Kruger? Right this way, please sir"
She led me into a separate room, she was stood up so I could now see her height, roughly up to my shoulders. I could also see that she had on a black knee length skirt and black stockings.
"Sorry but it's rare people have a reference so we'll have to check the validity of this, do you mind waiting, sir?"
I had all the time in the world so "No, I don't mind"
It took roughly an hour for her to return
"Sorry for the wait, We have confirmed the validity of the reference"
I wonder if the words of a guard had weight or Blyke was simply an important figure, but then, why would he be positioned as a guard?
"Okay, Mr Axle, It would usually take around a 1 month for the confirmation process but we can skip that due to your reference and we have been informed that you are an 'other-worlder', so we will require you to perform a few examinations. We need to make sure of your morality and your preparedness so, a single term at the academy is compulsory, you will also be required to take part in a combat assessment, let us know whenever you wish to take it otherwise, we in our good conscience can't give you hunting permission or unlock the questing feature on your system. The payment for the first term at your academy will only be taken out as a percentage from your earning until you can pay it back or you can pay the fee to the guild directly and we will process it for you."
"Right, so how much is a fee?"
"5 gold"
"I understand, I will pay it now"
"Sir you must understand, the academy gives high-quality training so the price is highly fai-...wait sir, did you say you would pay?"
I took out 5 gold and place it on the table in front of me
"I S-see"
I guess she didn't ask how I received it due to professional etiquette. She collected the money and regained her composure, her reaction was fun to witness, I must say.
"I would also like to take the combat assessment as soon as possible"
"Are you sure? Despite how it may sound, it is much much harder than it seems"
"Yes, when is the quickest I may be able to take it?"
"May I know your level?"
"Well, funny story but I just received a class so it's 0"
"Z-Zero Haaaa, I see I will try and arrange something for you but the earliest would have to be next week"
"I see, I can wait"
"Also for when you enter a party and for the education you will receive at the academy may I know your class alignment, so, is it an intelligence-based class like a mage and/or caster or strength related like a warrior"
"It is..."
With that, an academy arc would be implemented into my new life as the talks about my class and stats continued with the receptionist. The new life of the slightly dead man.
