Hey everybody, I hope that your week is going well.
Since was able to pump out some extra bonus chapters this week, we're already about to head into the climax of the first arc (Alone on the Ivory Plains). I just wanted to check in with you regarding a few issues before we get there.
First, over the next several chapters, we're going to get the full explanation on a range of topics, including magic and cores, the history of Ord, the Prison World broadcasts, and how Edge wound up in this situation to begin with. A lot of the small bits of worldbuilding up to this point have been leading up to this. To everyone who enjoyed the gradual reveal, thanks for all the helpful feedback, to everyone who would have liked more up front, I hope that this resolves most of your questions. I will continue to ponder the matter as I revise the early parts of the story, deciding how much to tell in what order wound up being the most difficult part of the book.
This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report.
Moving on, I have the second arc completely written and am making good progress on the final arc of book one. The entire book is guaranteed to be released and the 5 days a week schedule should be doable all the way through the end of the book as planned. I may eventually have enough backlog to put out a few bonus chapters, but I just spent a lot of it this week, so no promises on that issue. I'm caught up on the art chapters now that I decided to do a full job of it, so going forward I'll put one out every 1-2 weeks. The next one will be at the end of the arc.
Finally, I just wanted to thank everyone for all the support during the first week of the series. All the comments were amazing, and they really helped me out. A gigantic thank you to everyone who took the time to follow, rate, or review the story. Clicking those buttons let me hit #1 on Rising Stars for the first time, and I can't tell you how much I appreciate it. They also make it more likely that the series will succeed over time and get picked up by a publisher, so thank you for showing your support and voting for the success of Skill-Eater.
I hope you enjoy the end of the arc, the rest of the book, and all of Edge's adventures to come.
