Chapter 10
Part 1
I slashed the giant acidic slime multiple times, being careful to not destroy my blade with its acid side effect as well. My job was to distract it while Carl finished the cast on his spell.
I looked at Carl and he nodded at me, signaling that he was close to finishing his casting any second now.
“Just a little more you giant garbage disposal bin,” I said smirking at it. The fact that it was slow to move and just stood in front of us like a rock made it easy to deal with it. Perhaps it had to do with the fact that this was just a beginner-level dungeon that made this monster very easy to deal with. It was annoying for sure since it had quite the health and the acid element to it made it quite tricky to deal with if you weren't careful.
“I’M READY !” Carl yelled,
“GOT IT !” I yelled back, anticipating Max’s attack. And just on time since the durability in my blade was beginning to decrease.
“ICE TUNDRA !” I heard Carl’s voice and moved to the side.
Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.
I felt a chill coming my way, no doubt his attack.
“This is for you buddy, I hope you enjoy a nice ice drink,” I said, smirking at it, not that it mattered for it probably didn’t have the intelligence to even comprehend what I was saying.
Carl’s attack began to freeze the giant slime, its body slowing but surely being frozen solid and at the end of the process, all that remained was a giant ice statue.
“Now is my turn,” I said, as I got into position for my next attack.
“SLASH SOAR!” I said, dashing forward and slashing the giant acidic slime ball in half. Its body breaking into a thousand tiny pieces.
I looked at its health bar and saw it dropped to zero.
“BOSS DEFEATED!”
We both heard the words of a woman, no doubt the game telling us what we already knew.
“Good job Carl,” I said, giving him a thumbs up, we had defeated our first boss fairly easily.
“ EXP : 120
“ Basic Sword
“Basic Robe.”
We saw small windows pop up in front of us telling us of our reward.
"For a boss, it doesn’t drop that great of a reward,” Carl said, no doubt disappointed in the loot, which I couldn’t blame him, for it was quite lackluster.
“This is just a beginner-level boss can’t expect too much from it,” I said.
“Would you like to continue?”
A light transparent box appeared in front of us,
“Should we continue?” I asked Carl since we were in a group and this was a group decision after all.
“Let’s do it,” Carl said,
“Alright,” I said choosing the “Yes” option.
“Dungeon Floor Unlocked,” the voice said and the next thing we knew a door appeared in front of us.
