Rest Period
As you can see this man is very interesting. I wonder what he did after all that training. Many people are about to
learn of this man, and he will have a great impacted on
this world.
Eighth Entry
I repeat this training routine for several months. I am now able to beat flare trolls with ease. Early in the morning a
letter arrives for my brother. He is being summoned by the king. He tells me he will be gone for the next six weeks.
Two days have passed since he left. I see a women arrive
into our village. “Where have I seen her before?” I ask my self in a hushed tone. It finally occurs to me. It is the red
headed, emerald eyed girl which tried to kill my brother.
She is not alone.
How did I not realize this sooner. They where not there on that day. The mob which my brother antagonized. It was
to late to stop what was happening. They were torching
the village. I watch on in horror as many of the villagers
die. “Oh no, they are headed to the herbalist!” I shout.
I spread my wings and fly to them. I knock on the door.
“Get out now, it is not safe!” My voice filled with panic.
“What is all the shouting about?” The herbalist ask me.
That is when she sees what is going on. Grabbing her
granddaughter’s hand she runs the opposite direction of
the mob. Lucky for them no one notices.
The unicorn protector member notices me.
“You freak, where is your brother.” Her words barring
hate in them. “He is not in this village!” Screaming my
reply to her. “I have an anti fire ward charm, so you can
not hurt me with your fire breath like last time.” These
words are spoken while she is sneering at me. “You do not even have a weapon, you will be killed here by my hands.” Slipping from her toughen are these words.
Her knife in her hand, she approaches me.
Her blade swings forward, I doge. “You can not keep that up forever.” I hear her say. When the next swing
comes, I do not doge, but instead I slash her fingers with my claws. Shock appears as she drops the knife.
She is no longer able to hold it. She uses her other hand
to pick it back up and slashes once more. I do the same
thing to her other hand. I have now bought enough time
for the herbalist to escape with her granddaughter.
I spread my wings and fly upwards. “How can this be
possible? Humans cannot fly!” Her face and words filled with so much shock, it seems like she will pass out at any moment. I watch from the sky as my home is being burnt
to ashes.
This book was originally published on Royal Road. Check it out there for the real experience.
I have been resting at the inn of a nearby large village for
several days now. This is the same village where my
brother got his new sword. It was to big for the unicorn
protector girl to do the same thing she did to my
village, and was under the protection of the kingdom.
The herbalist and her granddaughter have also made
it here.
I am now walking through the black market. I over her a
conversation. “They are keeping a girl who can
grant wishes.” “Really, that is such in interesting story.”
Oh, but it is not a story.” “That is to crazy for
it not to be a story.” “Apparently they are treating
her like a slave.” “Why would they do that?”
“This girl can grant anyone wishes.” “Wait, anyone.”
“Yeah that is right.” “That means she is more valuable
than a unicorn!” “At least by a hundred times, if
not more.” “I wish I could have her.”
My stomach turns as I hear that last part. I need to save
her, my thoughts seem to be telling me. I listen around
town for anymore rumors about her, or where
I can find her.
Two days pass and I hear it. “We will be taking the wish
granting girl across the ocean.” “Bingo!” I say to myself.
I wait for the boat to leave the harbor. When it is far
enough out I use my wings to fly on board. No one has
noticed me yet.
I sneak pass many scary looking guys. I go down the steps of a small room leading down into the ship. I watch and
see the girl. “I wish for a magic arrow.” One man says to
the girl in front of him. I watch in amazement as the arrow appears before him.
“So it is true.” I whisper to myself. “I have come to save
you my lady!” I charmingly say to her.
“I wish this man dead.” Her captive states.
“I am sorry but that wish can never be granted.”
The girl states. “Why not, you have killed others with
your wish granting for me.” The man asks.
Then the girl replies. “This man is unaffected by all forms of wishes.”Wait a minute I think to myself, how can
that be?
You see the only thing in the world that is unaffected by
all wishes are dragons. I knew for a fact that I was a
human. Hold on a second, can humans breath fire? “No.” Did Humans have claws? “No.”
Could humans fly “No” Did humans have tails?
“No” Since when was
I a dragon and how?
“I will kill you myself then!” the man tells me. As he is
approaching me, I say to the girl. “ I wish for you to be
safe by my side. “I can grant that wish since it involves myself and not you directly.” I fight off the pirates with all
my power, making sure they can not get any words in.
This girl is stunningly beautiful. Her mid length violet
hair, her shimmering blue and pink eyes, and her delicate
skin. She as also just a bit shorter then me. I fly back to
the inn carrying her in my arms. “Thank you so much for
your help, my name is Stream.” The girl tells me as we are flying.
