Stream and I head into the mountain cove area, we came
to search for a certain metal substance. It was a substance needed to make a wish repelling caller.
Unicorn breeders used it to prevent others from getting
wishes granted by their unicorns.
We needed for a necklace for Stream, so that
she would not be granting any wish unintentional.
We would make it removable for when she wanted to
grant wishes. As we arrived at the shoreline it headed
towards us. A monkey drake. Monkey drakes have the
shape of a monkey but the hide of a drake.
It has two different types of tails, one of a
monkey, and one of a drake.
Its spine is a sharp fin like spike coming out of
its back.
Its fire breath has a shorter range than a dragon, but it
spreads widely to the sides. Lashing out its monkey tail it
tries to strike Stream, however a light blue glow appears
around her and suddenly the tail head towards me instead.
I block with my claws. It tries to attack her again, this time with the drake tail, the same blue light appears around her again, and heads for myself once more.
I try to block with my claws again but the force of its
tail launches me into the air.
I spread my wings, catch the air current and
stabilize my position.
The monkey drake places its feet and hands onto the
ground just below where I am flying, it pushes down with both of them, then both tails also go down, it uses the
force to spring itself into the air.
“What the!, No! No! Why?” I yell in a panic.
The spine hits my back stunning me and I hurl to the
ground. I fall onto a boulder, it shatters to pieces.
Stream looks in shock at me, and then the
boulder that is now just a bunch of rocks.
“That must have really hurt!”
her kind words are heart warming.
I just realized, she is right it should have hurt
but it did not.
I remember the time my brothers enchanted sword
shattered. “I do not understand, it should have, but it did not.” I tell her with confusion.
“No time for chatting, it is coming back for you.”
Stream yells in panic.
How do I beat this thing I wonder. I decided to try
something. I let out my claws, breath fire on them, the fire is now swirling around them like a snake. The monkey
drake tries to attack me with it drake tail again, I block
with my claws, but not with the claws themselves, but
with the flame surrounding them, so the force does not
repel me back.
The monkey drakes tail starts to burn. It tries to ram me
using its spine, I block again with my flame claws. The
spine gets burnt as well The monkey drake is now in pain.
The next tail comes from behind, I counter it, so it ends
up burning as well. “Now is your chance!” Stream
encourages me to finish of the monkey drake.
I rush towards it, using my wings to form momentum, I put my claws out like a javelin, and the flame melts its hide as I rip out its heart in an instance.
“Wow, you are amazing!” Stream blushes while

telling me these words.
Streams hair is blowing in the wind, her eyes sparkle
from reflecting the water in front of us. I think to
myself, I am so lucky to have met such a beautiful
women.
“Stop staring, would you?, it is so embarrassing!”
Stream looks away after these words slip out of her lips.
We continued our search for the metal substance.
We find it after yet another fight with a monkey drake.
“Man these things are hard to deal with.” I whisper to
Stream. “Yeah they are, but you have manged to do
it twice now.” a sly tone in her voice while she tries her
best not to let her worry show on her face.
We head to the blacksmith, after four days our request was complete. I gave him the tails and spines of both monkey drakes as payment. He did find it an odd thing to make. Stream and I decided to head on an
adventure together.
Now we had come to a small village just next to the
mounting shoreline. We knocked on the door of one of the village homes. There was no answer, but as we knocked
the wind blow the door opened, a family lay dead before our eyes. “I have a bad feeling about this”
Stream is shaking while I listen to her words.
We go to the next house, the same thing, and again, and
yet again. All of the people in the village seemed
to be dead.
The last house in the village, by now we just opened the
doors with out knocking. Their is a young man kneeling
on the floor, tears welling up in his eyes. I approach him
put my arms around him. “What? No don’t, you will end up like them!”
The man tells me. I let go of him.
“What happened her?” Both Stream and I ask in unison.
“About a month ago I was cursed, I was fighting a poison
slime, when a blinding light surrounded me, and then the slime was gone.”
He goes on to tell us that at first he was with a monster
hunting team, one of them fell, so he helped them
up, with in the next two minutes they died.
No one believed him when he said it was his fault.
So the monster hunting continued, until each one of his
team mate had died. No one would believe him still.
People tried to comfort him, but each time ended up dead.Until his family tried. This was them on the ground.
“What!” Stream shouted.
“Wait why are you still alive?”
The man ask me. From his story everyone had died
with in two minutes.
Yet I had not.
I ask him. “do dragons die to poison slime?”
“Why no they do not, why do you ask” he questions me.
I explain to him what happened up to the
point of meting him and Stream.
“I see, so maybe that is why.” he tells me.
Stream then tells both of us how she use to be a mage and was hunting unicorns when a blinding light surrendered
her and all the unicorns disappeared, after that is when
she could grant wishes, but lost all her magic power.
“Why do you not travel with us for now?” I ask the man.
“Alright it seems like a good plane to me, my name is
Moonbeam.” Moonbeam tells me his name.
