For the next several days my brother and I continue this
routine I have now become accustomed to battling
monsters with my fire breath. No longer would I have any trouble with the distance the monsters needed to be from me, in order to use it with out endangering myself.
It is at this point I tell my brother I would like to train on my own. “All right but do not take on anything that
could not be killed by your fire breath.”
My brother warns me. “I will not do anything that
reckless.” I lie to my brother.
I was planing to train my claws, but I did not want my
brother to know. I came to understand how to release
them, all I had to do was swing them in the same manner
I did with the fire troll. In order to gain more skill with
these claws, I would travel into the forest west of the
village.
Inside the forest to the west are pride tigers. Pride tigers
use their mighty claws to catch their prey. Not only are
they powerful when they swing downwards, they can aim their claws so precisely, and swiftly, in any direction
afterwards. I mean it is not like we have any weapons like claws, so I would have to observe closely how they
hunted their prey.
As I approached the center of the forest, it would soon be time to find somewhere to hide. I did not want to end up a victim of the pride tiger myself after all. I also masked my sent by covering my shoulder and neck in peppermint oil. I hide behind a small boulder that was underneath and
between two large bushes. Having my head just a little
above the boulder gently resting on it.
I could see an ostrich deer. Ostrich deer are very timid
creatures, and do not hurt other creatures, even when they are threatened. They breed much faster then rabbits. This is why a lot of places sell them as a food source. Being so easy to catch, and leaving even just one male, as well as
one female, could leave you with a hoard of one hundred of them, all in the span of two days. It also only takes
them about two hours to reach adulthood.
I watch as a pride tiger finally shows up. First it swings its right paw down wards lashing the ostrich deer across its
neck, placing its left paw gently to the ground while
preforming this feat. As the right claw reaches the bottom, the pride tiger, swiftly moves its left claw
upwards, slashing once more. The ostrich deer tries to
move towards the right, but is unable to because the pride tiger is able to move its right paw upwards and to the side the ostrich deer is trying to run. When it notices that
neither right nor left will work to get away, the ostrich
deer tries to back away. The pride tiger does not let
it,charging forward agilely, it uses its claws to pierce
through its neck and stomach killing it. I take in allot from the initial kill. I have a good idea of how to move my
claws in the direction I wish, without wasting to
much effort.
I travel to another part of the forest, trying to find a pride
tiger that is going to fight a more difficult creature.
I finally find one, it is fighting a mage wolf. Mage wolfs
are so fast they can kill with just the air pressure
alone, although they have to actually pace you, so I was
not in any fatal danger, however I could be blown a great distance away from here if I did not root my feet into the
ground.
When fighting for territory with another mage wolf, they would unleash many different forms of magic at one
another. They did this because mage wolves are immune
to the air pressure of other mage wolves. If it was for a
small area they would only use a light amount of
magic, usually things like a fireball, and ice shot. When it came to bigger areas, they would preform magic that alters the landscape.
Even considering all of this, the pride tigers do not have to worry about the air pressure. They would only sent back a few inches, and their fur was tough enough to keep the
air pressure from killing them.
Eyeballs in their head are protected as well, due to how
hard they are. I looked on as the battle begun. The mage wolf lunched a fireball. The pride tiger used its claws to
slice it in half, then swung at the mage wolfs face. A large cut appearing across its right eye. It then countered with
an ice circle to surround the pride tigers body.
Being cleaver the pride tiger dug a hole under the ice ring and tunneled through, just below where the mage wolf

was standing. I become stunned at what I see, the pride
tiger pierces the through the soil lunching it upwards and blinding the mage wolf. It takes me a bit of time to grasp
what happens next. The claws continue all the way
through the mage wolf, but it does not stop there, twisting its body, it launches the mage wolf to the
right, while pushing with its claws in that direction
as it turns.
The mage wolf hits its head hard against the tree it was
just knocked into, which leaves it unconscious. The pride tiger quickly runs to its body, slashing its neck with its left claw, and ripping out its heart with its right, this is to
ensure that it is dead.
The creature is enjoying its meal. After I have witnessed
many more feats such as this by pride tigers in the
area, I leave the forest. I find myself in an empty
field, which is prefect to practice the directional moves
I have seen. I do this for about two hours.
I finally can move my claws precisely the direction
I want, stopping where ever I want with in seconds, so that I will not wast any movements. I do not have a way to
practice the twisting type of movements I seen without
actual having a target to try it on. So I end up traveling to the fire troll layer.
Fire trolls can send shock waves by stomping their feet downwards, which is how they knocked out my brother that time.
I approached a fire troll swung my right hand downwards, while gently moving my left downwards, and once
my right hand reached its stomach, I swung up with my
left reaching the stomach, and my other hand, I then used both claws to push to the right knocking the fire troll to
the ground. When it hit the ground, I pushed down with
my left claw into the ground, then swung it forwards
covering the fire trolls eyes with dirt.
Not long after I used both claws to lunch me into the
air, and dove down onto the fire trolls body. My claws
tearing through its stomach, and other organs, leaving it
dead. I did similar feats after this as well. I could now
even twist my body like the pride tiger did.
I had now killed over twenty fire trolls, just as I was ready to leave, the sound of a roar quacks the area.
“No it can not be!” I yell out. I see the huge creature.
It is a flare troll. I killed one to many fire trolls.
Flare trolls are the protectors of fire trolls. They are huge, at least three times my height. Not only are they not
harmed by fire just like fire trolls, but they are able to
launch fire based attacks.
It sees me stomps its food, and I am launched into the air, all the way over a canyon edge. I am now falling I do not wish to die, suddenly my shoulder blades begin to
ache, it feels like something is stabbing through me but
from the inside.
I flap my shoulder blades and gently glide down to safety. “Wait a minute that is not right.” I say in shock.
“How can I glide to safety with my shoulder blades?”
I ask myself out loud.
I reach my hand to the back of me touch my shoulder
blade, or what should have been my shoulder blade.
What I ended up touching are my wings.
I now have wings.
This was even more shocking than finding out I had claws.
I tried flapping them, and to my surprise, I rise slightly
into the air. I flapped harder and rise even higher.
I stopped flapping and let myself flow gently to
the ground.
I rested for a bit and my wings went back inside me. I came to understand how to bring them out at will. I just
had to remember the feeling of not wanting to go splat on the ground.
