Prologue. Thunderstorm

Prologue. Thunderstorm

Shadows continued to close over the horizon, plunging the surrounding world into darkness. The sea, as if feeling the excitement of the sky, began to foam, crushing the waves of water on the stone fjords of the coast of the island. The wind howled long, caught between two raging elements. Suddenly, a blue lightning split the sky, drawing a sparkling strip from the sky to the sea and disappeared into the rushing water. Following the lightning, rain began to fall, large drops pressed all the grass of the coast to the ground, eroding the loose earth. Muddy streams rushed from the gentle banks back to the raging sea.

Anticipating the approach of the storm, the few who lived on the island hid in houses and shacks. No one thought to lean out into the street in such weather, preferring to wait out the revelry of the elements in a shelter. So, a strange glow in the east of the island remained without attention. Among the black thunderclouds, dark blue flashes like the radiance of lightning broke through. The clouds, contrary to the direction of the winds, parted before the radiance, as if trying to avoid it. The light grew brighter, forming a ball around which static electricity accumulated. Clouds began to swirl around the object, forming a dense ring. The storm reached its peak, a wild, primeval wind with a crunch broke the trees, carrying away the fragments of the crowns. Water waves were thrown ashore, tearing granite blocks and dragging pieces into their mouths.

At that moment, the blue sphere flashed and exploded, a shining clot, similar to a shooting star, rushed to the ground. Touching the water, the object hissed and rushed to the bottom. A pale glow covered the water column, hiding it from the whole world. Having reached the bottom, the glow, caught up by the oncoming wave, rushed to the shore. Once at the shore, the wave tossed the body up and returned to the ocean. In the sky, through a gap between the clouds, the moon appeared. Its pale light descended to the ground and for a moment picked out the barely discernible figure of a man from the darkness. The body was lying a few meters from the shore, where the waves could not reach. The clouds closed again, covering the moon and plunging the world into darkness.

Meanwhile, the storm began to subside.
