Chapter 24

PRESIDENT ANN ROSEWOOD ADDRESSED a large crowd on a Memorial Day speech. It was late evening; the vigil crowd held lighted candles. Her speech was broadcasted live nationwide...

"Today, we have buried the last man on earth. He has left us forever and will only be there in our memories and also in our hearts. Those moments of physical interaction have now gone away — and we can only remember them in years to come, through the images in our family photo albums and the home videos stored inside our computer hard-drives — which resonates the past joys and sorrows, that we have personally spent with them in those brief moments together..."

"Today, they are forever gone in-person — memories of only their names, as they were our fathers, husbands, sons, brothers, relatives, friends, boyfriends, lovers and all the other male acquaintances, whom we all had known of since they passed."

Female members in the crowd — old and young — were crying openly, and were hugging each other in morose...

"Today, we will all make a promise that they will not be entirely forgotten. In fact, we owe it to them that we will not give up on them — and, we will also keep the promise — of continuing efforts to find ways to bring them back again — back from our memories and into their actual physical being once again..."

"We shall all gather and put our strength, our priorities, and our resources into a greater initiative to combat the killer Medusa Virus, from this Memorial Day forward. I truly believe with our collective effort — where we can finally find a cure to eradicate it — so that the male species will live again, and soon walk on this earth once more — and soon, co-exist again with us as they had once before."

The gathered crowd salvo — they were invigorating to learn of their president's future magnanimity vision of promise...

"That is my tenet in promise to you all — that will also be my only mission in my office — which is to lead this country, with all of its rich and innovative platform of our western Medical Science and Technology, to fight and win our war against the Medusa Virus.

"We, together as Americans — and together as sisters-in-arms — we will all work, hand in hand — and make this pledge and stand united, to achieve this single goal together!"

The blissful crowd of lonely women cheered in approval again...

Among the enraptured faces of the enthusiastic crowd was a sullen-looking Madeline Cory — secretly, glowering at the newly elected president on the stage with repulsion...

She was in deep thoughts of her covet ambition...

'Why just settle to be a First Lady — when an incompetent simpleton wife of that Rosewood bastard can now be the leader of the nation?'

Cory swore to have her crown soon.

"Why I am confidently making this bold declaration is that — we are indeed a blessed nation — and now, I am pleased to say, that the saviours of mankind have arrived!"

Dr Jane Morris and ten nurses walked from behind the President — each of them was carrying an Intersexual baby in their arms.

Dr Morris handed a sleeping baby to the President who continued...

"These saviours will buy us the time to find a solution to overcome the Medusa Virus challenge. These saviours are nowhere amongst us...

"...and, they will keep our hopes on the male species alive!"

The President lifted the shemale baby higher above her head to revel him to the crowd — so did the other nurses with the rest of the new-breed infants...

"Behold the saviours of mankind!"

The eyes of the week-old baby in the president's hands opened and squinted at the flood of media's photographers and the crowds' cell phones' lightning-like cameras flashes...

All the babies then bawled out loudly in fright — to the thunderous blaring orchestra band performance that followed after...

This was just the inception of the many of their other psychological and physical fears to come in their future — whilst they co-existed — amongst the current dominant species.

"Behold the saviours of mankind!"
