One thousand years ago when the world of Seraphi was but two large continents instead of the many islands there are now. One part of the world was ruled by an individual and the minions he called “family”. For centuries they had kept with their tyrannical reign. They have super soldiers powered via a giant orb called Severri Makny. This orb has a diameter of 10 meters. The orb activates something in those who come in contact with it, and gives them special powers. Many obtain similar powers like fire or water, the strength of the starting power depends on the person and can be improved. Each time a new power is discovered the more the orb is filled a little more from the center out. From the centuries of people using this orb it is still not even filled eighty percent.

During these centuries of their ruling they have been in war with the other side of the world. They for the same amount of centuries have been building tools to counter these special abilities. There is a particular alloy (Jeldium) made by this kingdom that negates their powers and makes them useless.
