Wilford POV
The dog lands on her feet but her legs broke. I am on the edge of my seat, waiting to see what happens next. Sister stop watching the movie and put her head down, angry about something. She was watching the movie until the part where the dog saves the last person.
I don’t know if she knows the last two people on the dog’s back survive. But it doesn’t look like the dog will survive after that fall. I watch as she tries to stand up, but I can see the bones from the dog's legs. It is so interesting looking at a dog’s inners. I can see both bone and muscle with blood gushing out of the dog. But what is funny compare humans to animals is looking at our heal rate. This dog is going to die from these injuries. If that was me, it would take me a week, but I would heal from bones coming out of my body.
The train our parents put us through is tough on the bodies. One training session, my leg snap in half. It hurt, but I didn’t think it was a big deal. I know when my sister broke her leg; she yelled. And she cried the entire night.
Instead of crying, I wanted to see how my leg work. That day, I force our parents to teach me all about the leg. Like the femur. They had to stop teaching me because I kept trying to touch my open wound. I would touch the bone and the muscles.
They wanting to wrap my leg like the force sister to do but I kept touching it. They angrily glare at me while wrapping my leg. But they were happy that I was interested in my leg. My starting fairy is the color blue and I am in the group of darkness. Me being interested in knowledge and not being worry about being hurts show I have a deep connection with the dark.
But that doesn’t mean everything was sunshine with them. I am interested in blood and other parts of the body, but I refuse to hurt living animals. They tried to force me to hurt random animals in the forest, but I refuse to do it. They would get extremely angry and try to force the issue. They would hurt animals and tell me, these animals will live suffering and the only way to stop their suffering is to kill them. I could never do it. I know the animals were suffering, but I could never force myself to kill them. Sister had to kill them. She wanted to end their suffering and help me out. But the thing is, I like how they were suffering. I love watching them not being able to move and lying there on the ground, predominantly dead.
Look at this dog. Sister doesn’t enjoy watching animals suffering and she instead rather pretends to sleep than keeps watching the movie. I, on the other love this. This dog, is going to have the ultimate punishment for doing the right thing. Dead, the ultimate destination for everyone that is alive. And this dog is going to soon met her fate for saving people. If she live on our planet, she might never have been born because we don’t need animals to save people. But if she was live, then she wouldn’t receive this fate.
But what is the fun of that? Yes, she is dead, but as the film is wrapping up; they made a statue just for her. She might be dead, but she will remember forever. Well, not forever, but she will live way longer now than her body.
I look at my fair and watch as she flies over my head. Fairies will always be by our side, but there is something that other fairies users don’t know. There are billions of fairies on the planet not connect to any of us and can live as long as the planet survives. I first notice this when I was small and tried to point it out to my parents, but they refuse to take me seriously. This man, Shadow, must have done it. I can communicate with other fairies and able to use their powers. This must have given us an immense advantage over the elemental users. I need to hide this. The shadow doesn’t smell of darkness and wants both sides to be fair. Me being able to communicate with other fairies or even see them is a secret.
The movie ends and my sister's head pops up. She looks around, acting groggy. I mean, I doubt she is going to fool anyone with this performance.
I jump up and down. “Can we see another movie? This one was excellent!” I yell. I run up to The Shadow and pull on his pants.
“Another movie please.”
He gives out a sigh. “It is too late for another movie. Isn’t it past your bed times?”
“Bed time.” I ask, tilting my head to the side.
The Shadow sighs again, “Why do I expect people on the run to be normal? Why am I so stupid? Ugh.”
He punches himself in the head. I had to stop myself from laughing. On, the other hand, sister is just staring at him. She is giving him a death glare. Why is she staring at him that way? He brought us food and let us watch a movie for the first time? He is a really nice guy. Our parents can learn a thing or two from him.
As she is staring him down, The Shadow is in his own little world talking to himself.
Looks like we will not see another movie. I wish we can see another movie with many people are suffering.
But it seems like The Shadow wants us to sleep. Man, this sucks, but it is already night time and The Shadow wants us to be normal. I can see why he would give us a bedtime.
I am both really excited and feel sleepy as well.
Today was very exciting not only did we get chase by our greatest enemies but also we got to see a powerful fairy in action. My sister is being her usual self and just glaring at The Shadow, waiting for him to stop talking to himself and move on. We are just siting here watch The Shadow hit himself repeatedly. H is kind of mad. But he is powerful. Power lets you get away with anything. I have to learn that while living in this world. Our parents get to break the rules because they are powerful fairies. We supposed to be slaves but with their power they don’t have to be slaves. We are on the run true, but if they were even stronger, we wouldn’t need to hide.
Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
We have to walk through towns without the need to hide because of the fairies that are beside our parents. These towns were small and the moment they saw us the people ran away in fear. Watching people run in fear amuses me. But there is something to say about that as well. I have never lived a normal life. Today I just did a normal activity. The only to have a normal life here is to be powerful. Our parents are strong, but still not strong enough to dictate their own circumstances.
They have to obey the elementals just like the other fairies. They can walk through a small town while being fear but if they stay too long. They would get beaten by the elders that they will send to take them out. The Shadow walks into the building and able to demand command of the entire room. He looks at two elemental and he decides how they will live and die. We can’t even kill each but he can wipe us out with ease. My sister is right to be afraid of him. She could the darkness coming off his body. I can feel everyone who he has killed.
The numbers are incalculable. But I also feel something familiar about him. He feels like one of our great ancestors. He feels like the person who starts our entire line. He is the person who we fairies come from not even that also the elementals. He is a great grandfather. There isn’t a genuine reason to fear him. He is our ancestor he might be here to protect us or guide us.
My sister tired of him hitting himself. She walks up and hits him in the leg. She punches him and gives him a glare.
“Stop talking to yourself. Lets go.” She yells at him. I look at Shadow and watch his reaction.
He glares at my sister for a second and then gives her a smile. “Sorry, little girl. I was in my little world. I’m also a person of the light and hate people that take their time in doing things. Ok, let me summon something. We are leaving the planet and we need a ride. I also want to show you guys the world.”
He snaps his fingers and I feel something powerful coming our way. The fairy coming our way makes the basilisk look weak. I can feel the wind in the building change. My sister is smiling. She can also feel the powerful force coming, but unlike me. I feel nervous. The fairy is one of the light. I can feel it control the wind inside of the building. I don’t know which fairy it is but it must be close to tier one. I look at The Shadow.
He can summon a fairy this powerful. If I learn from him, how power can I become?
The air is shimmering around us. I try not to look at the smaller fairies coming into the room and dancing in the air. They are all fairies of the light. Red, yellow, orange, and white. They are dancing around all of us, but mostly around The Shadow. I know he didn’t summon all of them and they are just coming because of the fairy he summons but I look at him in awe.
Besides two white fairies that are dancing around my sister, the rest are around him. White fairies and black fairies supposed to be impossible. And when our fairies sometimes turn black and white. Our parents grow excited.
Boom!
A dragon burst into the building. Wait, it isn’t an actual dragon it is a sea serpent. Imoogi is panting like a dog at The Shadow.
“What are you doing please leave the building how are we supposed to get out?” The Shadow screams at the Imoogi. The Imoogi whimpers and exits out of the building. Causing half of the building to collapse.
The shadow sighs. “Ok, let me fix this up. I can hear people coming to see the destruction. Because a dumb fake dragons have to make a lot of noise coming to see me.”
The Imoogi puts one of their claws on top of their face. I hesitate to get close to the Imoogi. I feel the Imoogi can easily cut me in half if I get closer. The surrounding wind is alive and angry. The orange Imoogi moves one of its finger off its eye and gives me a glare. My sister is rubbing her face on the Imoogi nose. The Imoogi had feathers, scales and hair coving its body in different parts.
My fairy explains why the Imoogi has feathers, scales, and hair. The reason being to protect itself from different things. The scales are for combat; the feathers are for temperature control and the hair is for humans to make itself look cute. There is a legend of dragon slayers and the best way of not being hunting by humans is to look cute as possible. And the reason it has all three now because it doesn’t know how they should react to my sister and I.
Well, it hates me because I am a dark user. I cannot help this. Darkness is the opposite of light. I walk up to the Imoogi and try to touch it. It grows at me and a cut appears on my arm. The Imoogi attacked me. The Shadow looks at the Imoogi and punches it.
“It is nothing but a child. Not only that, but it is still carrying around his fairy that hasn’t even evolved yet. Why are you attacking the child?”
The Imoogi barks at The Shadow. Why is it barking? It sounds like a big dog. The Shadows listen to its barks. This man can talk talk fairy.
I turn towards my fairy waiting for her to translate, but after listening to the Imoogi. She pouts and files on top of my head.
The Shadow scratches his head and replies, “Dude it doesn’t matter. He is nothing but a weakling now. His darkness doesn’t smell that bad. You are acting like he is going to be a big threat stop whining. And let him get to know you.”
The Imoogi barks again and The Shadow rolls his eyes. “Dude you are trying to become a dragon. Not stay as a fake one. How are you going to gain your wings if you fear a little boy?”
This time the Imoogi growls, and he turns, staring at me. He roars, causing a huge tornado to form around us. The wind picks us up and causes all of us to land on top of the Imoogi.
“It time to go. The elementals are here. And I don’t want them to see our face. Good thing this fake dragon understands the enemy is coming, and it is time to get out of here.” The Shadow looks points to the side.
I can hear sirens coming from that direction. The Imoogi takes off into the sky, leaving the abandon building behind us.
The tornado disappears as we leave the area. I look down and the abandon building went from being wreck to being completely fine. I look at The Shadow and he nods his head.
“Yes, I had to clean up the stupid fake dragon mess.” The Imoogi roars in response.
“Stop whining you. I don’t care about your feelings. Shall I call an actual dragon and show you the difference between you two?”
The Imoogi shakes his head.
I look over the city as we fly past. We are flying past the Skyscrapers. Some of them had people others were empty. But as we flew past their lights in the building with no people.
“Why are their lights on and there are no people inside of the building?” I ask The Shadow.
“It is just something humans do. Humans are afraid of the dark and need lights on.” He replies while scratching the Imoogi ears.
“But half of us are beings of the dark. Why do we need the light when the dark chose us?” I tilt my head.
He gives out a laugh. “You guys aren’t part of the true dark. Humans are animals that like the light. You guys live in the light and sleep at night. Most humans are born from the light and something happens that cause them to turn to the dark side. I understand you are one of the few individuals that aren’t like this, but it is the case. There are other species out that also have fairies, but they are nocturnal. They are loyal creatures of the night.”
We fly higher and higher in the sky. Looking at the ground during the night looks magnificent. I watch as we keep flying out of the sight of the city.
“Where are we going?” Sister demands.
“Going to a mars. Go to sleep we will be there by morning. Don’t worry about falling off. This fake dragon would keep you from falling.”
I felt sleepy. The Shadow turn towards us and say, “Sleep young ones.”
I couldn’t keep my eyes open. Darkness overcomes me.
