First school fight.

First school fight.

Alexander POV

It has been a week since the day I burn down the history classroom. One elder took over, and we never seen the other student since then. Erica can read her books in class and no one asks me any question. The kids in my class stay away from me now. They are all afraid of me. I ask Erica if any of the students were going to be part of my team. She laughs at my question and answers. Anyone that is afraid of me doesn’t have a chance being on my team. They were all disqualified last year. It doesn’t surprise me that Erica was thinking about my team since then. She is someone that doesn’t like to procrastinate. I must keep her at arm’s length. She isn’t someone that I want to hang out with more than I have to. Being next to her in class is enough for me. But I can’t tell our parents about us being seat buddies. That is still too much for them.

I skip my early classes. None of the class are worth going to and it is a huge was of time. Instead, I rather use that time to train. After I scare the entire classroom. I walk out to the training room and buried myself inside the dirt. It was a punishment. Being inside the dark, lonely earth made me feel horrible. I wasn’t inside of water but inside trap inside of the earth. I couldn’t move a muscle. Well, I could, but I had to force myself not to move. This isn’t like the water where you are always moving and you can go in any direction instead of being stuck in one place. I have sat inside of dark water, but at least I didn’t even have to move. The water was always moving around me. But the dirt wasn’t like that. Fire is the same way. The flames roar around me, but at last it was always moving. It feels unnerving how the earth just stay still. Having my two best elements differing from the earth element is a great punishment for me to sit in.

This is a punishment for scaring the entire classroom. I didn’t see Erica for a few days after the event. I had to keep myself calm, and she isn’t the best person to keep me calm. So, I stay far away from her. Even though I punish myself, I still got valuable training from the experience. I have grown with my earth element. Learning to sit still helps me grow. Anyway, training ends for today. I did physical exercise to help me keep my mode. Especially since spiders are weirding me out these past few days. I think I keep seeing the same spider repeatedly because it has a skull on its back. But each time I see the spider it had different colors.

I try attacking these spiders, but before I could attack them a black dragon appears inside of my mind and tells me to stop. I know it is the same dragon that told me to attack the ceiling with the dragons instead of each other. This world isn’t making any sense. I weird things keep happening around me. But I have to keep ignoring them so I can keep my sanity.

I enter my room and my cell phone rings. This isn’t good. Only one group of people would ever call me and I hope they don’t know I have skipped class for the last few days and don’t have any friends.

I pick up the phone and it is a face time call. My parents must be furious. They want to see me face to face. I pick up the phone. “Hello mom and dad, how are you guys are doing?”

My mom yells, “Alexander, we heard that you have been skipping class. How are you going to make friends if you aren’t in the classroom? We didn’t send you to that school just to train and learn. If we wanted that, you would be at home right now learning. Instead of that school with those dumb elders. Now go out and make friends. And if you can’t make friends, then make followers at least. We aren’t asking for much. Just have people you can talk to. If you don’t, we will pull you from that school and bring you home. Also, we will stop your goals of revenge. We were lenient so far about your goals, but if you don’t shape up. Then we will force our lifestyle on you. Do you want that?”

I put my head down and whisper, “No, I will do better. I am going to the cafeteria right now to make some friends. I will do more.”

My mother glares at me and says, “You better.”

She hangs up the phone.

Ugh, I got up and walk to the cafeteria. This is a good time to go since our grade is eating lunch right now. They must have known this was the case, and that is why they called now. They learn about my schedule from someone and I’m force to eat with other people. Man, if I ever meet the person who sold me out. I will do horrible things to them. Unless my sister did and then well, she will get away with it. I really doubt that it was her, though. She isn’t someone that talks to our parents about me and she doesn’t care about me making friends.

I walk into the cafeteria and look around the room. I see a bunch of students talking and eating. I do not know what to do. I see Erica sitting by herself reading a book while eating. I’m surprise that she is in this noisy place eating. I would’ve guessed she would eat inside of an empty classroom or somewhere with no people. I walk up to her and she looks up, giving me a glare.

“What are you doing here? This is my peace time? Go away.” She growls.

I sigh and reply, "Our parents force me here. I upset them. I’m not trying to make any friends and told me if I don’t do something soon then they will pull me from the school. Not only that, but also they are going to stop me from my goals.”

She laughs. “OMG, this is funny. Our parents got mad at their favorite. How does this make you feel? And it would be funny watching you scrim trying to make friends.”

I roll my eyes and reply, “I don’t have to make friends. I can have followers. I talk to people that aren’t you or the elders.”

She looks at me and starts laughing again. “You know nothing about people. They must not realize how out of touch you are.”

I ignore her. “I need your help. I leave this school without achieving my goals. And you know I can’t say no to our parents. I need to get my revenge. So please help me.”

She sighs, “Yeah I might help you. I need you to achieve your goals as well. I can’t have you leave this school. Our parents might make me stay as punishment. These people are so dumb and boring. Playing with you is so fun.”

Her last words sent shivers down my body.

I know she sees me as a toy and I hate being reminded of it. I was about to walk away from her when suddenly someone yells, “Alexander!”

I look at Erica and ask, “Did someone say my name.” She nods her head.

“Alexander, don’t ignore me!”

I turn towards the voice, and there was a guy glaring at me.

I look at Erica and ask, “Who is this guy?”

She responds, “That is Peter. He is the third in our grade. He has the third best grades and third in combat.”

Oh, that sounds nice. The third strongest in our class and also he is smart. That is good. If it wasn’t for Erica and me, he could be at the top of the class.

“Alexander, you are a lair and I will expose you to the entire world.” He yells.

I look at him, confused. I turn towards Erica and she just sighs.

“Hey, don’t look at her. I know your entire family is in on it. I’ve challenged her to a fight and all she could do is call your parents. I shouldn’t say your parents but her parents.” He said.

Wait, is this man for real? Do he know who I am? Does he have a death wish? If there was someone in this school that is going to learn how to kill, I’m the primary candidate. I look at Erica and ask, “Is this guy real?”

She laughs, “Yes, this moron is real. He actual thinks we aren’t that powerful and we are hiding behind our parent’s name. And also he doesn’t understand his place in the world. He is stronger than people around and don’t now how big the world is. So wait until I finish eating before you hurt him.”

“Who are you calling a moron? You stupid orphan. Yeah, I call you an orphan. What are you going to do about it?” He says.

I look at him with questioning marks running through my brain. Who is this man and why does he want to die so badly?

I look at Erica and she just shrinks her shoulders.

“Dude, um I do not know who you are, so why are you trying to pick a fight with me?”

He sighs, “My mentor 6 years ago fought a 9-year-old you and lost his match. No way does a seventeen-year-old lose to someone that is nine. You had to cheat. He was even glad in getting second place to you. Your family must have given him money, and that is why he was so happy.”

This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report.

“Um, ok your friend lost a match. Get over it. I forgot all my opponents during that time. They weren’t worth anything.”

Peter's face turns red and purple.

Erica howls with laughter.

“Keep going Alexander, I don’t think you have finished kicking him while he is down.”

I tilt my head, wondering what I did wrong.

“What? Those guys were super weak. I beat everyone from 15 to 20 years old. The Elders taught them wrong. And they were super easy fights. All the second place finishers were weaklings.”

Ericas howls once again.

“Take that back. My mentor is a highly decorated student. He graduation from this school with full honors and yet you want me to believe that a nine-year-old orphan beat him?”

“Wait before you reply to him. Wait, a moment.” Erica pulls out her phone and calls someone.

What is she doing? She only has two numbers on the phone and there isn’t a reason to call our parents right now. And she isn’t willing to call them even on her deathbed. So why is she calling them now?

She even put it on face time.

Our mom answers the phone. “Erica, have you died? Why are you face timing us?”

“Listen and see this. Your precious son is helpless.” Erica replies.

Hey that’s unfair, I’m not helpless. “Mom, I was telling this person who his mentor isn’t worthy of being remembered. He fought me in one of those boring tournaments and this dude is crying about it. Saying that you rigged it.”

I can see Erica holding back her laughter.

Our mom sighs, “Son, Alexander, did you tell someone that their mentor wasn’t worth remembering after you beat him in a fight when you were nine?”

“Yes, he was in the 17 age bracket. Those tournaments. were a blur since everyone did the same stupid thing and the matches were boring.”

Our mom turns her head and says, “Honey, please help him.”

She gives the phone to our dad, sighing as he picks it up.

“Son, don’t you see it hurt his feelings. You can’t always tell people the truth. Instead of saying his mentor was weak instead say that you remember that fight and he was stronger than people older than him. And you wish to fight him again.”

I scratch my head, “But why? None of those people are worth mentioning and they were easily fighting. And they all were brain wash by the dumb elders’ stupid ways of doing things. If I tell him straight up, hopefully he wouldn’t go down the path of his mentor.”

My dad sighs and my mom in the background yell, “How did this happen? How out of touch is our son. How did we raise him so wrong? At this rate, everyone in the school would become his enemies. Look at the kid, he is ready to explode and his followers are seconds from throwing punches.”

Erica is holding the phoning laughing. She is holding her hand over her face.

I don’t understand why everyone is mad. His mentor is weak and he shouldn’t follow his mentor's footsteps or he will fall into the same trap.

“Son, you have to be tactical. Ok, Erica, after this fight please start teaching your brother some common sense. We have failed him. I wish it didn’t have to come to this, but he really needs to learn. I know you study people all the time and by the end of the school year if your brother have learn common sense than we will give you one of the rare books that you always want. One of the single editions.”

Erica smiles and says, “Well I will try, but I think Alexander is too far gone. But for one of those books, he will learn how to be a human.”

“What am I chopper liver? Stop ignoring me and having a private conversation. I will beat this orphan black and blue, in front of his adoptive parents. How about that? I want to see their faces after I beat their little special orphan project.” Peter yells out.

Um uh oh.

Mom steals the phone from dad.

“What did you say? I didn’t hear that.” She says calmly.

“I said, I will beat this orphan in front of you.” He repeats.

She breathes loudly.

“Ok, change of plans, Erica. You fight him! Alexander leave the room. I don’t want to bring up old trauma. Erica bring this boy to his knees. It seems like his parents have failed to raise him right. When we called his parents’ last time, it seems they didn’t do a good job of disciplining him. It is time for him to learn his lesson. Erica, I’m allowing you to fight this boy. Get him!”

Dad steals the phone from her. “Honey clam down. This isn’t like you. Erica, it takes both of us to take off the ban. So instead, I will refer to Alexander to this decision.”

“No, don’t give it to Alexander. His biggest problem he is too nice. This boy needs to learn a lesson. Let Erica deal with him! I want Erica to deal with him!” She shouts to dad.

“Bye. You mother is looking for things to throw.” Dad says as he hangs up the phone.

Erica gives me a wicked smile. “Brother, let me fight him. This is the only chance, I might have to fight a person in this school.”

Peter shouts again, “Stop talking like I’m an easy opponent that either of you can beat. And I see how your adopted parent wants her actual daughter to fight me instead of Alexander. She knows he is a fake.”

I sigh and turn toward Erica.

“Erica, we might need him one day. Even though he is dumb. He still better than everyone else in our grade.”

“No, we don’t need him. He is just going to become a problem later down the line. Let me get rid of him now so we don’t have to worry about him in the future. I can easily see him betraying our cause.” She says, smiling.

I roll my eyes. He must be a person who thinks he is superior to all fairies and wouldn’t help them even if his life is on the line. Erica is trying to fight him. Since she is part of the dark, she loves torturing people.

“Orphan, what is wrong. Do you want to save face and let this fight for you? Are you scared orphan?”

This guy is testing my patients.

“After I beat you, I will become Elder Jessie's new favorite.”

Erica sighs and says to me, “If he makes fun of you again after this, I want a piece of him.”

I giver her a nod.

“What are you two talki..”

I blow past him and his friend right in the face. I decide to attack Pete’s friends first. So I can beat him one on one and there won’t be any interference.

“Wait why?”

I punch the guy that is talking. Idiots, they are sitting here watching me beat up their friends, taking no action. I am using only normal moves right now. I haven’t used my elemental powers yet. And already in 2 seconds two of his friends have gone down.

I send a kick towards the third person when finally they reacted and jump back. I took out two people, and that leaves only seven left.

“What are you doing? This is cheating?” He cries about how I started the fight. What a moron. I tap my foot on the ground. I look at them line up. I swing my leg up, creating a wind blade. The wind cut through the air and cuts through a girl’s arm that is standing next to Peter. None of them reacted to the attack. She screams and falls to the ground. Before the other knew what was happening. I kick her in the face. She flies back into the wall unconscious.

“What?”

They turn toward her and as the nearest guy turns his head toward the girl. I kick him in the head, sending him flying.

I roll my eyes. This is laughable.

The reaming five all jump back again to gain distance. There are no chairs or tables in the cafeteria anymore. They were all moving out while we were talking. Fights happen all the time in the school and in random place. So people know how to handle the situation.

They all finally got into a fighting stance. These morons just stood there and never got into a fighting stance while I took out 4 of their guys.

“This guy can only use surprise attacks. Use everything you most powerful attacks to take him down.”

Fire, wind, water, lightning, and ice are being sent my way. They all use their strongest attacks to attack me. But they didn’t coordinate their attacks. Their attacks lost power because they are next to their weakness. And the rest of their attacks I take a deep breath and blew the rest away.

One of Peter’s friends looks in horror at how I simpling stop their attacks. He screams and turns to run. As he is turning, I create a lightning bolt. He takes a step, and I throw the spear at his back. One of Peter’s friends tries to stop the attack. They create an earth wall. Protecting the person who is running away.

But that didn’t stop the attack. The lightning goes right through the boy, causing him to hit the door and fall to the ground. One boy falls to the ground.

“Please, I surrender. Please have mercy on me.” I sigh and ignore the kid. I can hear him taking a sigh of relief.

Crash! Erica kick him into the wall. This is a street fight. There are no rules or surrender. They haven’t properly taught these kids on how to fight. Good thing I’m here to teach them.

I walk towards my last three opponents. Their eyes wonder back between Erica, me, and the door behind them. They now realize that Erica and I aren’t playing with them and they want a way to escape. What is the point of fighting a losing battle? At least they realized this much. Peter is the only that isn’t trying to escape. He is looking around, trying to exploit our surroundings. Looks like he isn’t rank three for no reasons. Too bad he should lead his team to escape instead of trying to fight a losing battle.

As I walk towards the three of them. Peter yells, “Cover me! I have an idea, so buy me some time. Go!”

They look at him and hesitate.

I sigh to myself. What is the point of having people under you if they don’t follow orders. I could have taken both of them out, as they hesitated. Well, not even both all three of them. Your leader has a plan. You should follow it, but these morons have their fingers in their mouth and not know what to do with them.

I take loud steps forward. The two morons don’t charge at me trying to buy their leader time instead they are walking backwards. Looks like the leader isn’t very good. They don’t believe in him. I am watching as Peter gathers his power to set his last attack.

This is dumb. Why are you powering up? Do you think this is a movie or something? We don’t need a minute to unleash a huge attack. It should take as long as a deep breath. He just surpasses fifteen seconds in powering up. I’m trying to not let out a sigh.

“Sigh, hurry Peter. This attack is going to suck. Just unleash it and stop wasting all our time.” Erica says.

He grunts. It seems Erica is rushing him. There is no point in rushing him. I need him to deliver his biggest attack.

I can feel him trying to summon the fire. I can breathe in the power. If I really want to, I can snuff out his attack right now, but there is no point. I’m trying to show them my overwhelming power. He called me an orphan and think my adopted parents are protecting me and I didn’t have any actual power. I am ticked off.

He finally summons a fire ball two meters tall. “Wow.” His display surprises people in the audience.

Erica laughs. “Haha, is this the best you can do? We have been waiting for thirty seconds and you only summon an attack that strong? My god you guys are weak but see for yourself.”

Peter replies, “Yes, you scared. You don’t want me to send this attack to your boyfriend. I know you two are super close and that you guys only talk to each other. I bet it is a forbidden love.”

Nope, this ends here. Erica giggles. “Goodbye.”

I take one step and freeze the three of them in place. Peter looks at the ground and says, “What is happening?”

I raise my hand and created a fireball three times his size in an instant.

“You know what, Peter? Everything you said to me today pisses me off, but your biggest mistake was saying Erica and I were a couple. This is an offense will always incur my wrath. This is your first and last warning on the issue. Please remember it forever.”

I point my finger at him, and the fireball flies towards him. It hits him and his friends.
