Chapter 27 New Party?

"By the way, I’m Elyza, a mage with fire affinity," she added, tapping her chest. Then gesturing toward the female adventurer who had been fighting with the short sword and standing next to her, she continued, "And this here is Naomi, our youngest party member.”

Erik nodded. "Appreciate your hospitality for letting me share the loot," Erik said with a warm tone. He then walked toward the corpses of the wolves he had killed, and removed a small brown pouch from his pocket.

The pouch, connected with advanced spatial magic, could store a large number of items. Erik had purchased this expensive item because most of the monsters he hunted were edible, allowing him to earn money not only from their crystals but also from their meat.

"Is that a Luminarian pouch?" Naomi asked, her green eyes lighting up as she saw Erik holding the small bag.

"It sure is. I had to buy it for a few reasons," Erik replied as he dragged one of the wolf corpses toward the pouch. The pouch absorbed the wolf’s body seamlessly.

Naomi, clearly impressed, watched with sparkling eyes. "Can I try it once too?" she asked eagerly.

She’s like my little sister when she's all excited, Erik thought to himself with a smile.

"A Luminarian pouch, huh? Are you some kind of rich kid, kiddo?" Elyza asked in a teasing tone.

“He sure is” Aldraz added in a teasing tone.

"Sure, you can try," Erik said, walking toward Naomi and handing her the bag. "You just have to bring the corpse of any monster you killed near the opening of the bag, and it’ll do the trick."

He then turned to Elyza and began walking towards her. "I’m anything but a rich kid, ma’am," he said with a chuckle and stood next to her, leaning on the dungeon's wall.

Naomi walked over to one of the bodies of the Night Wolves Erik had killed. A grin spread across her face, her excitement evident as she prepared to use a Luminarian pouch for the first time.

She grabbed the Night Wolf’s paws and brought the corpse near the Luminarian bag’s mouth. As she did, the monster vanished into thin air.

“This is really awesome,” Naomi said, her green eyes sparkling with excitement. She repeated the process with the rest of the wolf corpses Erik had defeated, handling each one expertly.

Erik and Elyza watched her otherworldly enthusiasm with smiles, while Aldraz gathered the useful parts of the dismembered wolves and packed them into a large piece of cloth to carry.

Naomi approached Erik and handed him the bag with a satisfied smile.

“Thanks for letting me use it, Erik,” she said, clearly pleased.

“My pleasure,” Erik replied with a small smile. “I'll be taking my leave now,” he said with a casual tone.

As he turned away and was about to walk off, Elyza called out, “Wait!”

Erik stopped and turned to look at her. “Yes?” he asked.

“Do you have a party?” she asked curiously. “You could always join ours if you want. What do you guys think?” Elyza looked at Naomi and Aldraz, who both nodded in agreement.

“I don't see any problem with it,” Naomi said nonchalantly.

“He’s strong,” Aldraz added, giving the cloth filled with dismembered wolf parts a final tug.

“I don’t have a party, but I do have a teammate,” Erik replied with a neutral expression. “I really appreciate the offer, though. It makes me happy.” He smiled. “I might take you up on that offer in the future if you all don’t mind,” Erik added.

“Ah, I was hoping you’d join us,” Elyza said with a hint of disappointment. “Well, nevertheless, have a good hunt, Erik.” She gave him a thumbs up.

Erik turned again and waved his hand. “Quick Step,” he mumbled, vanishing from the spot in an instant.

“Too bad,” Elyza said, her words tinged with slight disappointment. “He would have made a great addition to our party,” she added, looking at Aldraz and Naomi.

“Well, he’s a young man right now. Young kids don’t understand the importance of a party that much. We were all like that once,” Aldraz said.

Naomi pointed a finger at herself. “Hey! I want to remind you of something, old man, I’m young too, you know!” she exclaimed, narrowing her eyes slightly and giving him a skeptical look.

“You need to have the strength to back it up too, ya know,” Aldraz mumbled. Hearing this, Naomi mock-punched him in the torso.

“Ah, that hurts!” Aldraz shouted.

Elyza crouched and used a basic wind spell to reduce the weight of their loot.

“Should we get going now?” Elyza asked narrowing her blue eyes, scanning their surroundings. “We wouldn’t want to be attacked by another set of monsters, now would we?” she added, her expression turning serious.
