"Razor Leaf, aim for the desk."
Without missing a beat, Autumn ignored the beasts words and continued to layer on the attacks, this time aiming for the thing the intruder was standing on. At this point, Tenmei wasn't even sure what was going on or who was attacking, only that they were solely there to acquire an object the youth had never seen before. He also was aware that things would get ugly very fast if he didn't think of a way out of the situation quickly, those retractable claws from the short figure being no joke.
Small flakes of green immediately appeared from the plant on Bulbasaur's back, spinning vegetation that shot towards the target with deadly accuracy.
The beastly figure didn't seem to take this seriously, merely hopping off the desk, avoiding the leaves as they smashed into the desk. Moving swiftly, the dwarf of an intruder darted towards the Bulbasaur, claws extended on both hands.
Once again, just like before, Tenmei intercepted.
"Wait!! I can get you the item."
The words came just a little too late as the beast slashed downwards, slicing the black-haired youth from shoulder to hip, digging in deep. There was definitely pain, but the adrenaline coursing through Tenmei's system numbed it substantially, to the point where he could shrug it off. Blood pooled over the torn school uniform, enough to be considered life-threatening should it be left unchecked.
If there wasn't a countdown before, there definitely was now.
"Oh, sorry about that." The beast retracted his claws, stepping back a few feet. "That slash wasn't meant for you. If you can give me the item, then I'll be on my way."
"Tenmei, are you-"
The teen held up a hand, cutting Autumn off, red hues focusing on the figure. "The item is in the front desk, second drawer on the right. I saw it there when we walked in earlier. They wanted to make sure such a precious item wasn't stolen."
Silence.
"The policy of the Pokemon Center is that all shipments must be stored in the safe until picked up by its owner-"
"Unless said shipment is damaged, likely to be stolen, or possesses missing content." Tenmei seamlessly cut off the small beast without pausing, his hand clutching his chest in an attempt to stem the flow of blood. "If something happens, the Center is the one responsible ergo it does whatever it can to prevent further losses."
The two stared at each other, reflective glasses meeting bright red eyes. After a few moments, the small individual looked away.
"Very well."
BANG!! BANG!! BANG!!!
This book was originally published on Royal Road. Check it out there for the real experience.
The barricaded door was smashed to pieces, the various desks and other equipment blown out of the way as a weird looking creature busted through the entryway. A floating purple sphere, the being in question had numerous craters of various sizes coming out of it's entire body, some of them emitting some kind of black smoke. It's eyes held a pleasant emotion with a wide smile on its face, as if it was having an entire trip on acid. This was driven home by the fact that it had a symbol reminiscent to that of a skull and an X just below its face. Yet another Pokemon added to the already numerous things Tenmei knew nothing about.
"Kooooffffinnngg."
The levitating meteorite floated it's way into the room, the blue haired man from before following behind him.
"Spectre #2, the item is in the front-"
BAM!
Before anyone could say anything, before anyone in the room could properly comprehend it, Tenmei took a few steps and swung his leg into the unsuspecting beast, sending him flying. With blood dripping down his body, flowing from a grievous wound, the black-haired youth was almost certain that the intruder had failed to see it coming.
"Autumn!!"
Tenmei's voice was like a wake-up call as the young girl quickly understood.
"Bulbasaur, vine whip!"
Once again, a set of vines sprouted from the Pokemon and flew towards the small intruder. This time, however, the beast was unprepared for it, having only just landed on the ground some feet from Spectre #2. The lengthy ropes fastened themselves around the individual, locking away his claws and impeding any sort of movement.
"We're leaving!! NOW!!"
Without looking back a single time, Tenmei put his whole back into running, bolting from the area and towards the back of the Center. Finding the emergency exit on the very first try, the youth rammed it open with his shoulder and kept on sprinting. He wasn't sure how much longer he could keep standing, the pain becoming harder and harder to bare as the adrenaline rush gradually faded. Within the time he had left before he passed out, he needed to get to a hospital or somewhere safe otherwise it would once again be game over.
"Bulbasaur, return."
Tenmei could hear Autumn in the background not far off as well as a second set of footsteps he presumed to be Nurse Joy.
By some miracle, all three of them had made it out safely.
After what felt like an eternity, Tenmei eventually stumbled to a halt, unable to continue. He felt weak and cold, breathing properly was a struggle, and the slightest bit of wind could probably knock him over. The wound was deep, but even so, it was surprising how fast Tenmei's life force was ebbing away, the blood spilling out like an unrestricted water hose. His hearing and vision was in a constant flux, going from clear to blurry in random intervals. Autumn and Nurse Joy tried to call out to him, even touching and prodding him but it was no use.
The darkness came for him after and, similar to the lightning strike, he once again was shoved into an endless abyss.

"You don't seem to have a fondness for life. I mean, you were reckless in your own world, but this is something else."
This time, instead of being greeted with an endless abyss such as before, Tenmei was met with a room the size of a small house. A carpeted floor, white walls with designs of different monster-like beings, two sofas, a flat screen TV, and an oval shaped dinner table. Setting aside the fact that Tenmei SHOULD have been dead, it was actually quite a nice place, save for one of the couches which looked rather ugly in comparison. Though, it far from what Tenmei needed to focus on.
"I'm....alive?" the youth asked, touching his own chest.
"Well now, that would depend on the path you choose going forward. On whether or not you want to continue ahead."
A hand from some unseen source reached out, catching Tenmei by surprise. Considering all the weird ongoings happening so far though, the youth accepted it quickly, allowing it to help him to his feet. It was only after he had fully stood up that he could see who had helped him, as if by some kind of magic.
He was taller than Tenmei, standing at around 182cm with pristine white hair, almost to the point it was glowing. He had light grey eyes, fair skin, and an outfit the same color as his fluffy locks. There was an aura of power that radiated off of him that made all others pale in comparison, as if Tenmei was standing next to something radioactive. It wasn't a bad feeling but it did incite an air of caution within the youths gut, urging him to watch what he said. Though that had been a trend ever since he had first been struck by lightning, to watch what he said and did lest it get him killed or almost killed.
Though it had clearly not been working out very well for him.
"Tenmei Hugo was it?" The man asked, turning around and walking towards one of the couches. "Come and sit down for a bit. We don't really have much time to talk. Id say a few minutes at most. Time moves differently here."
The black-haired young man looked around the room another time before following.
"You're the one who sent me into the world," Tenmei surmised as he plopped down on the cushioned seat. "Struck me with lightning."
The man looked pleasantly surprised. "You catch on rather quickly. I didn't even say anything yet and you already arrived at the conclusion by yourself. First one to do that. Also the first one to die two times in a row though so there's that."
"First one?"
The man waved aside the question as if he didn't even hear it. "My name is Arceus. As you said I'm the one who brought you here into this universe. Took a lot of effort on my part due to some....issues but nevertheless, here you are."
"But why?" Tenmei crossed his arms. "Why am I here?"
"Cutting right to the point huh?" Arceus leaned forward, clasping his hands together. "I guess you could say that I needed a helping hand, or several of them. A series of events took place that limited the amount of effort I can put in, forcing my hand into summoning others who can do the work for me. Hence where you come in."
"Meaning?"
"I need you to start a war."
