Autumn's Assistance

//Two more today

Autumn hadn't actually been planning on doing anything other than getting some Pokemon food. Ideally, it should have been a one and done deal, where she went out, grabbed what she needed, and went right back home to watch some television specials that had been airing that night.

It was also imperative that she went to sleep somewhat early, considering that she was meant to set out the very next day. As fate would have it, she had officially hit her teenage years a week and a half prior to her little excursion, the ripe old age of thirteen. Twas an age that allowed her to finally get her Trainers license and set out on her journey to gather a squad of Pokemon and take the world by storm. It was something she had been waiting for ever since she could walk, having studied and trained for the day for what felt like eons. The thought of battling and making her name known throughout the regions was mouthwatering, something she refused to pass up under any circumstances.

So it was a genuine wonder how one interaction had led to an incident that had put her entire life and future career on the line.

When she had first met the egg carrying Tenmei, she had thought of him as a cute traveler, someone who most definitely wasn't from those parts. He had been awkward but funny, a bit spacey yet still aware of himself and those around him, an individual who was confused but didn't let it slow him down.

These were her initial impressions.

Now, her impressions were a bit different.

"He's still breathing," Autumn said as she crouched down, placing a finger against the boys neck, feeling for a pulse. It had only been a few seconds since Tenmei had completely collapsed, but the situation was still quite dire. "Maybe we can save him if we can stop the blood."

"He's losing too much." Nurse Joy yanked off her apron and used as much of it as possible to stem the crimson flow leaving the boys body. "If we had an ambulance coming, then we might have a chance, but...."

"We can't just sit here and let him die!!" The young girl reached into her pocket and fished out a small red contraption. Pressing a few buttons, she held it up to her ear. "Only reason we're unharmed is BECAUSE of him."

"Is that a phone?" Nurse Joy asked.

"No, it's a special device my parents gave to me for emergencies. I didn't have the time to use it until now."

"Wait. Autumn."

"What do you mean wai-"

The blood had begun to flow in reverse. As strange as it sounded, it looked even stranger, as if time had pressed the rewind button solely on Tenmei's wounds. The pool of crimson that had begun to gather around the youths dying body crawled its way back the way it had come, separating from the dirt it had mixed with. Even the blood that had soaked into the youths torn clothes exited the cloth and reentered Tenmei's body. After some time, when all of the bright red liquid had returned to their place of origin, the wound closed back up, leaving no traces it had ever been there save for a deep, jagged scar.

Autumn said nothing as she slowly lowered her device, kneeling back down next to Tenmei.

A soft glow drew her attention, a brief orange colored illumination coming from the boys' right pocket. Glancing towards Joy, she reached towards the pocket and dug around inside, her hand wrapping around some kind of rock or plate that was almost too cold to properly grab.

This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings.

It was a sheet of metal, or at least that's what it looked like. The plate was made of something Autumn had never seen before, not exactly metallic but also not glass, but a weird mixture of both.

"We're merely looking for a small metallic plate, almost like glass. Shaped similar to a rhombus but with two flat ends."

"This is..." Autumn gazed at it for a few seconds before looking at the unconscious Tenmei. Gritting her teeth, she came to a conclusion in her head. "Right."

REEEEEEE!!!! REEEEEEEE!!!!

The sound of sirens pierced the night sky, echoes of various emergency vehicles such as police cars, firetrucks, and ambulances, making their presence known. Based on how vividly the duo could hear them, it was reasonable to assume that they were less than a kilometer away and would be arriving as the Pokemon Center shortly.

"Autumn, there's an ambulance. We can...Autumn?"

The black haired girl had disappeared, gone the moment Joy averted her gaze. Tenmei's healed body had also vanished, leaving Joy in the alley by herself.

"I hope you two stay safe," Nurse Joy said, not letting the child's disappearance affect her too much.

In terms of dead body weight, Autumn felt as if Tenmei weighed over 300 kilos, maybe even more. The body kept flopping around, throwing off the young girls balance and threatening to topple them both over no matter what position she attempted to carry him in. Even when she used what remained of Tenmei's shirt to tie the knocked out youth onto her back in a sort of piggyback formation, it did very little in terms actually making a difference. It was a miracle unto itself that she managed to traverse more than a few dozen meters before ultimately taking a break in a nearby alley.

It got to the point where the only way Autumn was gonna make it to her destination was with some additional help. Luckily, she still had Bulbasaur.

"Bulba"

The creature in question made its presence known as it phased into existence in a brief explosion of light. Once manifested, Bulbasaur used its vines and wrapped them around the unconscious teen, easily lifting him into the air and above the plant monsters head. After Autumn made sure that Bulbasaur could handle the weight, the two of them set out, ignoring the prying eyes of those who passed by.

Autumn lived on the innards of Viridian City, more towards the center where the vast majority of the lively attractions were. Her parents had moved into the town in hopes of making it big in the business world, starting their own fashion line and completely absorbing themselves into their work. Eventually, when their company took off, they moved out of Viridian and let Autumn's mothers sister have the house, leaving the young girl behind with her. Essentially, it wasn't her that had moved out as she had told Tenmei but rather her parents. Autumn had lived in the same house, in the same place, her entire life.

A large two story house that felt more empty than an abandoned city could ever feel. Perhaps that was one of the reasons Autumn wanted to leave so bad.

Setting the rising memories aside, it was that building the girl and her Pokemon were heading to. A dozen or so kilometers into Viridians' depths. It only took them a few solid hours to get there, but only because they had extra baggage.

Human shaped baggage.

Whipping out her key, Autumn unlocked her door and helped Bulbasaur move their sleeping princess into the castle. No one was there to greet them at the door so the young girl assumed everyone was asleep, which was definitely a blessing since it would've been rather hard to explain why she had brought a shirtless teenager instead of Pokemon food.

Well, it was less hard and more of a hassle since she had little doubt that the explanation would've turned from a full-blown story to a full-blown lecture.

Her aunt was good at those.

Doing her absolute best not to make a sound, she motioned Bulbasaur to follow as she trekked her way up the stairs, her steps muted by the thick carpet lining the staircase.

"Master June. You're back."

Autumn flinched, pausing halfway up the stairs, her turtle plant of a partner also halting. Turning around, she took in the sight of her family's, and by extension hers, butler Manda Doll. Dressed in a flowing blue nightgown and a matching bonnet, Manda appeared to be ready for bed, apart from the cup of clutched in her hands. Her chocolate hues took in the situation quickly but said nothing as she took a sip of her tea.

"You didn't manage to get the Pokemon food madam?" Manda tilted her head curiously, not even bothering to address the elephant in the room.

"Unfortunately not," Autumn remained where she was, hoping a void would open and swallow her up. "I'll have pick up some tomorrow before I set out."

"No need to worry. I went out and purchased some shortly after you left."

"Oh....thank you."

Manda gave one more look towards the unconscious male before glancing back at Autumn. Saying nothing, she simply turned around and went back in the direction she had presumably came from, sipping away at her tea. Just before she was out of sight, she looked back ever so slightly.

"You have a good night Master June. Try not to stay up too late."

The moment the butler was out of sight, Autumn continued moving, breathing a sigh of relief. If that had been her aunt, things probably would have gotten significantly worse. Luckily, due to her aunts current sickness and how late it was, the young girl had managed to escape certain doom. The only thing left to do now was to find a place for Tenmei to rest and hope he woke back up soon, or at least before she herself was meant to leave.

"Which room should we leave him in Bulbasaur?" Autumn questioned softly, looking towards her companion. "My room or guest room?"

"Buuuuuullll"

"You're right. The guest room is too risky." Autumn closed the door to the room in question as they walked by. (("We need to make sure he doesn't get caught in here. Still, this'll be the first time I've ever had a boy in my room. Guess it's a good time as any to change that."))
