//For the time being, the main character is gonna get pulled along by others until he gets himself some proper footing. Once he has that, he'll be the one dictating what happens.
For now though he'll be a victim of the plot since he doesn't know shît about the world.
Enjoy

Tenmei didn't really know what to say so, he took the stranger up on her offer, following close behind her as they set off to get the Pokemon food.
A lot of things were happening, so many things transpiring in the youths wake that he was almost unable to keep up with it all. Scattered details and a storm of visual information that failed to connect together. Creatures never before seen, stars that didn't match his original world, him having died some time prior, a giant egg bigger than his whole head. If it wasn't for the fact that Tenmei trained himself to remain calm in all but the most dire of situations, the youth reasoned that he probably would have had a meltdown long before ever reaching the city. In truth, it was all Tenmei could do to keep a cool head, to try and piece things together bit by bit.
Luckily, he was able to extract something from Autumn as they walked and talked. Bits of data that helped make things easier to understand.
For starters, Tenmei was in a place called Viridian City, a thriving city that spanned dozens of kilometers, or so it was guessed at. According to the girl, Autumn had been born there, raised by her mother and father before eventually moving in with her aunt. As a local, the young girl knew the way around like the back of her hand, and due to this, she knew almost everyone who wandered through its boisterous streets. The city possessed a Pokemon Gym, Pokemon Center, shopping complex with a mall, movie theater, and a boatload of differing restaurants Tenmei had, unsurprisingly, never heard of before. He noted that the word Pokemon was thrown around quite a bit, though, and it was one he had kept hearing since entering Viridian City.
So, tired of being ignorant, the oblivious youth posed the big question.
"What IS a Pokemon?" Tenmei inquired, sidestepping an officer towing along what looked to be a cross between a dog and a tiger. Yet another animal that he tried desperately to ignore.
Autumn looked at him as if she didn't understand the question, green hues narrowed like she was waiting for some kind of punchline.
When none came, she stopped walking.
"Wait, seriously?"
Tenmei nodded, ripping off the bandaid instead of backtracking. Looking dumb for a second was far better than being ignorant.
Autumn pointed downwards towards Bulbasaur, of whom had been walking by her side since Tenmei had joined them. Then, moving her hand, she pointed towards the dog tiger that had just passed by them and then to a creature that looked like a giant star with a gem in the middle. Every weird creature that Tenmei had noticed during their walk was met with the end of Autumn's index finger. It took a minute for the youth to understand what she was getting at, his brain failing to compute the information for whatever reason.

Every single creature, including the unhatched egg in his grasp, was a Pokemon.
(("So....Pokemon are what they call the animals in this world?")) Tenmei questioned, fully accepting the fact he wasn't in his own dimension/universe/plane of existence. (("Then the Pokemon food is for...."))
The black haired youth shifted his eyes towards the Bulbasaur.
"You're quite weird," Autumn said as she lowered her finger. "Never met someone who didn't know what a Pokemon was."
"Well, thanks to your help, I think I got a better grasp on it." Tenmei smiled a little. "Thats all I really wanted to know."
Autumn stared at him for a second, not saying a word. After a few seconds, the young girl grinned and grabbed the youths hand. Against the young mans protests, she pulled him in the direction of a nearby street, towards a large building with a giant red sphere on the top half of it.
The two eventually reached the building.
"This is the Pokemon Center." Autumn gestured proudly. "It's essentially a hospital for Pokemon. For any medical issues such as battles, status ailments, or any unknown conditions, you'll wanna take them here."
(("Battle? Status ailments?")) Tenmei yet again didn't know how to properly respond, so he kept his mouth shut.
"They can also....." The young girl looked towards the egg in the young man's hand. "....Identify different kinds of Pokemon eggs."
Before Tenmei could open his mouth, Autumn moved towards the building, Bulbasaur hot on her heels. For someone so short, she definitely had a larger than life energy that made Tenmei feel exhausted, which was saying something since he had to put up with Markus and Emilona bickering nearly every single day. On the other hand, she was also quite intriguing, drawing the teenager in as the two of them made their way towards the Pokemon Center, slipping in through the front door.
The interior was actually rather nice and surprisingly simple to understand, arguably the easiest thing to make out since Tenmei had regained consciousness.
It was an almost empty room, similar to that of a hospital waiting room complete with cushioned seats in one corner of the room and a row of organized tables. On the other end of the room sat three large devices that looked like a cross between an old school TV, a timey arcade game, and a telephone booth. A good portion of the room, not exactly half, was closed off by a semi circle, most likely meant for an employee only basis. Currently, sitting behind that same sectioned off layer was a woman with bright pink hair and a short pink dress with a white apron over it. She had bright blue eyes and her hair, a color resembling that of bubblegum, was tied up into two large loops, giving her a unique appearance. It was this lady that greeted the duo the moment they entered the building.
"Hello there and welcome to the Pokemon Center. Are you kids doing alright tonight?" The pink haired woman stood up from her seat, eyes flicking from Tenmei to Autumn.
"Hey there, Nurse Joy," the energetic girl greeted, giving the woman a wave. "I'm just showing my friend around here. He's never been to a Pokemon Center before."
"Oh, Autumn," Nurse Joy smiled as she sat back down. "I haven't seen you in a while. How's your aunt doing?"
"She's getting over a cold at the moment." Getting behind Tenmei, she placed her hands on his back and 'gently' nudged the teen over to the counter. "Aunty couldn't get groceries this week because of it so I was sent to pick up some Pokemon food. Ran into Tenmei on the way there. Figured I show him around a bit."
Stepping back to the side of him, the young woman held out a hand to the pink haired Nurse in question.
"Tenmei, this is Nurse Joy. She's the one who can look over your egg for you."
"Oh, you have an egg. Well then. Let's get it looked at shall we?" Nurse Joy reached out for the egg but was immediately met with opposition, the black haired teen moving it just out of her reach.
Logically speaking, it made sense to give the obvious expert the egg, especially since it would be in much better care than Tenmei's could ever be. However, emotionally speaking, it was actually much harder to part with than the youth expected it to be. Since he had found it some hours prior, he had held onto it with letting it go even once, to the point where the egg was the only solid thing that didn't change or give him something else to think about. It had become similar to that of a stress ball, only without the squeezing and the throwing.
Still, though, after a few moments, Tenmei passed it over without any further objections.
Just as Nurse Joy was about to take the egg, though, the lights within the Center were cut off both inside and outside, shoving the room into utter darkness. The only lights remaining and the only ones that gave some semblance of sight were the ones outside, though even those were vastly insufficient. But the sole fact that there were still building lights informed Tenmei that the Pokemon Center was the only one who was experiencing the current problem.
The lights didn't stay down for very long, returning seconds later, but the damage was already done.
Standing in the middle of the room were two figures that most definitely hadn't been there a second ago. There hadn't been any sound of their arrival, no sound of the Centers sliding door entrance nor any noticeable footsteps. Tenmei couldn't really make out anything about them either, both of the newcomers wearing pitch black cloaks, tophats, and tinted sunglasses. They gave off an air of mystery and danger that the young teenager had only felt against chess grandmasters and murderers. Right off the bat, Tenmei was able to deduce that they were the ones who had cut the power.
"Infiltration complete."
