TRAINING

TRAINING

When Shen, Ace and I reached the field I was shocked. There were trees and a gargantuan stage made out of gold and ivory. They must have paid a lot of money to make that. The principle stood there with the women that told us to come here, a young bold man and the man who told us were to go and brought us on his dragon. I saw Ace climb the tree and sit on the trunk. I didn’t understand why he did that. The man who attacked those second years stood on the stage in front of the teachers. “Hello. You have all been accepted into Sen academy. You are all student. No one is higher than anyone else here. There are rules and if the rules are broken there will be punishment. Now the head Thanatos is going to speak.”

“Students. I am your head master. You will learn quickly that in my school there is nothing that you cannot use to achieve your dreams as that are the thing that motivates you. Without it you will be no different from a beast and a demon. We are strong and we will not back down and become mindless demons under the whim of the demon king.”

There were speeches that went on and on. This was so boring I looked up at Ace and he was falling asleep. That is when his name was called. Mine Shen and Fen were then called out. I looked at the stage and saw a man with a scroll reading out names. When he finished we were given directions to go to the fighting gym. It looked like I was going to like our first lesson of the term very much.

When we arrived we saw our Gym manager standing there with his usual nonchalant expression. He only came in to teach us in the summer and spring and only the summer and spring. The other teacher only came for winter and autumn that was it. “Master Guy.” I said. I liked him more than Ace did. He looked at me and looked stunned. He started laughing when he saw us. Like the very first time. “Hello Deon and Ace. Have you been keeping up with your training?” he said nonchalantly. It was like he didn’t give a fuck.

“Yes we have.” I answered.

“Good Good. Everyone go and get changed. You will sweat like you have never done before. Including you two. You’re going at the intermediate level. I hope you can keep up.”

“Why? I like the begging it is easy. The intermediate is sooo annoying, I have to put alto of effort into it.” Ace said like it was killing him that he had to do the intermediate.

“Enough of your complaining. Stop whining and get on with it. You lost to that weak Nobel Arrvel. You should be ashamed. The reason why you lost is because you don’t take anything seriously.”

Ace looked to the side he was disappointed. He didn’t admit it but he knew Guy was right. He didn’t out effort into anything if he did he’d be monstrously strong.
