Prologue

In a desolate place, where the skies were red and the ground was barren, were three people. 2 women who seemed to be around 20 years old and then a young boy around 5 or 6 years old. The boy seemed afraid as he hid himself behind one of the two women and held onto her long robe.

The boy was wearing blue robes with golden dragon emblems, his skin had a slight bronze hue, his hair was short and pitch black. His eyes were crimson red and seemed like a serpents. The woman who he was holding on to was currently covered in blood as her beautiful white robes were in tatters.

She had straight long black hair and pale skin. Her eyes were jade green and she seemed to have a fairy like face but it was currently very ugly as she looked at the woman in front of her. The other woman also had long black hair but her eyes golden and were also like a serpents. She was dressed in black long robes that complemented her voluptuous curves. Her face was a little round from the smirk on her face.

She opened her mouth and a mocking voice sounded out, “If you had just been a good girl and not had any children, none of this would have happened.” There was obvious disdain in her voice as she pointed the golden sword in her hand toward the two. The woman in front of the boy said in a cold tone, “So that’s it? You raised your sword against your husband primary wife and child just because you want to push your bastard son to the top?”

These words enraged the woman in black as her face turned ugly but a moment later, she laughed hysterically as she said, “Yes, he is not born from your husband. How could he when that guy couldn’t even get it up? However, nothing you say can change what happens next.” She looked with a smirk again as she looked down upon her, “You and your oh-so-genius son will die here. This is the Ancient Battlefield where even Empyrean Kings won’t dare to say they will survive with a hundred pre cent guarantee. Your cultivation is now also crippled. I will take my leave now and you two can enjoy dying in each others embrace.”

As she said so, a ripple tore through space behind her and she stepped in. The moment she did, the ripple closed again. Seeing that she was gone, the woman in white spat out a mouthful of blood as she turned around and faced the little boy. She fell onto her knees and brought her eyeline on the same height as the little boys. She looked at him tenderly as she patted his head, “Lil’ZhiZhi, Mother can’t stay for long, so she will have to make this short.”

The young boy was shocked as he looked at his mother but before he could say anything else, the woman continued, “This is my Spacial Ring, inside it are all of my possessions and also what I had planned to give you. However, since I don’t have much time left, all I can do is give it you now.” As she said that, she took a black ring off her finger and put it in the little boys palms. Then she weakly smiled as she said, “I will pass on a cultivation method to you now. Remember, never falter and be determined. Most importantly, survive!” The young boy wanted to say something but before he could, a massive amount of information entered his head.

When he came back to his senses, he saw his mother weakly smiling in front of him. He nudged the woman shoulder as he asked weakly, “Mother?” But as his eyes met the dull eyes of the woman’s, he understood that she was dead. As his hand landed on the woman’s shoulder, she fell over powerlessly.
