The island was currently about 10 square kilometers big. Zhi didn’t see the point of currently making it take it’s original size if they only had 60 people. Since he was the “Master of the Island”, he knew when someone tried to force their way in here. Currently, there were over a three hundred people outside and Zhi felt the familiar aura on some of them.
They were the youths he had met about a week back. It wasn’t particularly hard to realize why they were there. Zhi also discovered that a lot of people were observing the situation from afar, whether they were Humans or not, he did not know. One thing was for sure: Depending on how he handles this, this might spin out of control. However, he wasn’t afraid at all. He had learned that there were only two Empyrean Emperor level people in this World and even if they personally intervened they might not win.
The Island was something on par with a Major Sect’s Headquarters from a Deity Plane, to expect that some random Empyrean Emperor would be able to do what he wants despite the various formations on the Island would be a joke. Even people who had passed the Second Tribulation would be hard pressed to forcefully enter the Island and survive if all of attention was on them, not to mention a “mere” Empyrean Emperor. Zhi just rose to the air and went to the edge of the Island where all the Humans were.
He left behind a screen on which Feng and the rest could see the situation fold. Seeing the number of enemies, they felt their scalps numb as they started fearing if Zhi could survive on his own. They would only be a burden even if they tried to help him, so all they could do was grit their teeth and watch. Even thought they felt fear, they didn’t understand why Zhi could be so calm. He even smiled and went to meet them all. This made the four think that he was just crazy.
However, Feng and the rest immediately gathered everyone to look at the battle as well. If nothing else, they would know when to kill themselves, rather than be captured. When Zhi reached the edge of the Island he just stood there lazily as he asked, “What do you guys want?” Hearing the lazy voice spread out, all of the old experts focused their gazes towards Zhi.
They tried to use their Qi to probe his cultivation base but they were unable to do so. This made their faces grim as one of the old men stepped forward, “Were you the one who slaughtered all of the Nascent Soul Experts a week ago?” Zhi just glanced at the old timer as he coldly said, “Yes, it was me. I gave them a chance at life but they decided not to take it.” The old man was enraged by the words as he immediately yelled at Zhi, “You insolent beast, you dare harm someone from my Seven Flames Sect? You do not know the meaning of insolence!”
As Zhi heard that sentence he looked towards the people with a blank face. He just couldn’t believe his ears, although he hadn’t had much contact with other people, this kind of self justifying arrogance was something that made him burst with laughter. After getting over his fit off laughter he looked towards the old timer, who was thoroughly angered and said coldly to him, “You pathetic dimwit, do you honestly think that just because the Ashura Emperor has died, there is absolutely no one who can kill you?”
The face of the old man was red from anger but before he could burst out in a fit of rage, Zhi splashed a bucket of cold water on his head, “If you do not leave by the count of ten, none of you will be able to leave this place alive. Do not say I did not warn you.” Although his words may seem arrogant, no one had the time to say anything about it. They felt a cold chill run down their spine from the murderous aura that Zhi had released. He usually restrained the cold murderous aura he had obtained from the ten years in the Ancient Battlefield but now he unleashed it all. All of the Human experts felt as though they were powerless insects that were in the jaws of a Devil. The younger generation people had already soiled themselves and actually fainted from fear. Some even didn’t have any signs of life, they were frightened to death by the murderous aura.
“This guy isn’t anyone we can take on.” This one thought ran through the heads of all the Ancestors simultaneously. Even though they were all Empyrean Immortal level Experts, they had never met this kind of an oppressive murderous aura that made them lose the will to fight even before the fight begun. As everyone thought how to leave the area before he started even counting, one of the Nascent Soul Elders broke under the aura and madly dashed forward to attack Zhi. All of the Ancestors faces fell as they saw this but they couldn’t stop the old man.
However, since one of them had attacked already, they couldn’t back out either. If they did so, all of their face would be lost and they would be the laughing stock of everyone. To any Sect, Clan, Empire, whatever power that was even slightly known, face was everything. All of the Ancestors could only grit their teeth as they signalled everyone to attack. However, inwardly they were cursing the fellow who broke under pressure and attacked. If there was one thing that they felt relieved about, it was that Zhi was alone. They had 93 Empyrean Immortals and over 150 Nascent Soul Experts, even an Empyrean Emperor might not be able to take all of them on by himself and win. However, Zhi couldn’t be ranked with normal measures.
His Bloodline was that of a Dragon, one of the strongest in existence. His cultivation technique was exceedingly mysterious that allowed him to skip ranks by itself. His body was tempered to the limit making his Qi extremely pure and his body as tough as steel. His equipment was also of mysterious origin as even Zhi felt that it shouldn’t even exist. Even the Highest Quality Artefacts couldn’t hold a candle to the quality of the Scythe and clothes. If you coupled all of that with his 10 years of experience of fighting against things Realms above him, you get one unkillable person in this World. Even if he couldn’t kill the Empyrean Emperors yet, he could still put up a fight against one and possibly even escape with his life intact. When Zhi saw all of them dashing towards him, he just smiled as 13 Daggers appeared around him swirling like a protective net.
In his right hand appeared a black Scythe and on right side back a black fractal wing manifested itself. As the wing appeared on his back, his right eye’s eye white turned black. His iris was still red and his pupil still resembled that of a serpents. Soon after black flames manifested all over his body as he crouched and dashed forward. Even though he was ridiculously outnumbered, he still didn’t fear them since he had come out alive from even worse situations.
Within a few moments, he had discerned everyone’s strength and he decided to start from the weakest and work up to the strongest. Actually, this situation of one versus nearly three hundred was heavily in his favour for one reason: He could attack everyone without a care in the world but they had to restrain their attacks to avoid friendly fire. If he played it smartly, they couldn’t find an opening to attack him at all. Against Nascent Soul experts, he didn’t even need to act personally, he just sent 10 of his Daggers to deal with them while he himself constantly reviewed the situation and kept an eye out on the Empyrean Emperor level people.
Since he was always moving around and he was constantly in the middle of their own people, the Ancestors couldn’t get a clear line of attack. This made them grit their teeth and madly pursue him through the crowds. Everyone who were observing the situation however had a serious face on because they could see the situation from a third person perspective. They understood that actually the Humans were on the losing side and if it continued like this, Zhi would without a doubt win this fight.

They could see that he was dividing his attention into 3 parts: One part was observing the entire battlefield, one part was directing the daggers to kill the Nascent Soul Experts and one part was focused on himself killing the weakest Empyrean Immortals first. This made them quite astonished because this showed that, First his consciousness was strong enough to perfectly divide his attention three ways without it impacting him too heavily. Second that he was used to fighting alone against superior numbers. Dividing his attention two ways would have already astounded them because people, who could split their attention perfectly were rare. To see someone who could perfectly divide his attention to accomplish three different tasks simultaneously, this was something unheard of.
As Zhi danced through the battlefield, experts kept dropping down. Ten minutes after both sides took action, there were no more Nasecnt Soul Experts. They had all fallen under the daggers, now the 10 daggers had flown back to Zhi’s side who used them to launch attacks from the old foggies blind spots. Not only did the Empyrean level experts have to make sure that they didn’t hit each other, they also had to look out for Zhi’s attacks. This was something very difficult to accomplish even for them. They weren’t like Zhi who could perfectly split his attention three ways, just dividing their attention on not attacking their own and looking out for Zhi’s attacks caused them to trip over themselves. In the end, none of the attacks hit Zhi as he pulled away from all of them. The fight had gone on for half an hour now and this was the first time Zhi had actually left the midst of the people present. He looked towards them all mockingly and said, “Now what are you going to do?” All of the people left were panting. This high speed chase had emptied their Qi reserves. One of them huffed as he spoke, “You truly are a stupid animal, if you had stayed in our midst, we wouldn’t have been able to attack but now when you are alone, we don’t have to worry about hitting our own.” Zhi looked at them blankly for a second before laughing loudly, “Oi idiot, look around you for a second and tell which one of us is on the losing side now?”
As he heard the words, the old man looked around and was immediately dumbstruck. Around him, only 14 Empyrean Immortals were left, The rest had all been killed. As everyone else also took a look around, they were also dumbstruck. In just half an hour he had killed everyone expect them. Now, they were truly frightened as they looked towards Zhi. They felt as though they were looking towards a Death God.
They honestly felt that they had run head first into a spiked steel wall and had done it happily as well. They had no idea just how strong Zhi was because even though he kept moving around all the time, he was using minimum amount of Qi. His reserves weren’t as depleted as theirs were, however, it wasn’t because he was underestimating them or he completely over powered them. It was because he felt some strong presence nearby that kept observing and not moving from the start. Since he didn’t know if it was an enemy or not, he couldn’t let his guard down at all.
However, it took a bigger mental strain on him because he had to make the minimum amount of wasted moves to waste the minimum amounts of Qi. The person hiding in the shadows was someone who Zhi had no confidence on taking on in his current situation. Now, with all of his preparations complete, Zhi looked towards the spot the mysterious person was hiding at and said, “It doesn’t matter how long you are going to stay hidden there waiting for an opportunity, you are not going to gain one.” Everyone present and the people who were spectating the fight were all startled by the statement but everyone’s faces changed when a man in blue armour stepped into vision.
All of the Human Experts faces lit up as though they had seen their saviour however all of the Demons who were spectating had an ugly face on as they looked at the man. It was obvious that everyone recognised him. His had a buffed body and on his back was an Azure Spear. Hanging on his side was a double edged sword. His features were very distinguishing with his short blue hair and the giant scar that occupied half his face. The old man opened his one good eye and said in a cold tone, “You have very good senses. Since you sensed me in the vicinity, you didn’t use all of your strength but rather only about half of it.” As the cold voice echoed out, the man raised his hands and clapped as he said, “You have my respect beast. With only a Nascent Soul cultivation you managed to slaughter seventy Empyrean Immortals and nearly two hundred Nascent Soul experts. Even I would not have been able to do that.”
As Zhi heard the man speak, he started to feel irritated for some reason. He had never met this man before in his life but he already looked down on him and from the undertone of his words it was obvious that he already considered himself the winner of the fight. Zhi put on a smile as he said, “Well, little pathetic cockroach, you don’t dare to come and fight me in the beginning but now dare to come when I have exhausted half my strength. To top it all off, you speak so high and mighty of yourself. Mind introducing yourself little pathetic insect?” Everyone felt their scalps numb as they looked towards the man in blue. Murderous aura started spreading out from him as he said, “Well then little snake, you have obtained my respect a bit so I will introduce myself, I am Long Shaofer, the right hand man of the Dragon Emperor. Who might you be little snake?”
The ridiculing tone made Zhi very irritated and now he understood why: It was the Pride of a Dragon again, more specifically he was irritated because of the familiar aura of the blue scale armour the man was wearing. Zhi asked through grit teeth, “That armour is made of Dragon Scales isn’t it?” Everyone were taken aback by the question. However, everyone felt that something was very wrong when they saw black smoke rising from Zhi’s back.
It wouldn’t have alarmed them if they hadn’t sensed the completely sinister and oppressive aura contained within the black mist. Even Long Shaofer was alarmed by the aura the mist but he smiled as he realized something, “Yes, it is. What, you feel angered because your kinsman had been killed and personally skinned by me to make this armour?” His tone also held a tinge of excitement. The mist behind Zhi started taking shape and everyone felt their scalp go numb when they saw that it turned into a 900 meter long pitch black dragon. It’s eyes were as red as blood and it excluded an aura no one had ever felt before. Even Shaofer took a step back, his excitement all gone and he looked towards the dragon in horror.
This aura wasn’t something that even the Empyrean Emperors couldn’t exclude. When the Dragon had fully materialized, Zhi felt his vision go black as he lost consciousness. The dragon looked at the falling Zhi and caught him in it’s claws. As it tenderly held Zhi, it turned it’s gaze towards Long Shaofer and a feminine but powerful voice echoed out, “You lowly insect, you dare use the last name of the Primadorial Dragon Clan?! You even dare to kill a one of it’s descendants and turn it into an armour for yourself. Eternal torture would not even be able to make you atone for all those sins.” Everything was deathly quiet as they looked towards the giant black dragon in the sky.
The dragon just fully focused it’s oppressive aura on Shaofer and soon blood started flowing out of every possible hole in his body. He just couldn’t handle the pressure and when he started falling down, she caught the falling body and threw it on the Island. After doing so, she said to everyone spectating, “Who ever dares to touch my son again, I will not care about anything and directly destroy this little Mortal Plane. Consider yourselves warned insects!” As the words echoed out, she turned around and flew towards the Island and laid down Zhi in the middle of all the people on the island.
She took a glance at them and said, “I thank you for following my son.” Everyone hurriedly bowed to the dragon but they didn’t feel the oppressive aura it had before. It didn’t even have a cold tone but it had a warm tone like a thankful mother’s. Everyone quickly excused themselves and went to cultivate.
Seeing this the dragon chuckled as she took the form of a young woman in her twenties. She looked exactly like Zhi’s mother.
