Unfortunately for them, Hu Tao didn’t give a shit about their dreams or whatever. He hopped off from his blood-soaked cloud and landed in the middle of the group. They didn’t hesitate to strike as a single cohesive team when he landed. Hu Tao could only smile as he saw this familiar sight.
“I gave you dumb fucks enough chance to spice things up. This time I won’t be playing around, alright? So, I, your grandfather, will show you the consequences of kicking Mt. Tai.” Hu Tao scratched the back of his head.
Bo Fai, the immortal reincarnated Earthly Immortal, erupted in phoenix flames. A long flaming robe meant for emperors and those of royal lineage formed around his body. Perfectly fitting blazing gloves appeared on his hands. Shin guards, wrist guards, shoulder guards, and all sorts of other armor made of flames were conjured on Bo Fai’s body.
Yanyu dressed in a similar outfit to Bo Fai, but instead of phoenix flames, it seems she managed to harness the magical flames of a dragon! She held a half-broken sword with a dragon’s image etched into the body of the blade. If one was to take a closer look, one could feel the majesty of a true dragon from the sword! This sword was forged with the blood of a true dragon!
Hong Long raised his mighty golden blade and infused all his qi within the blade as he prepared to unleash his strongest sword technique. This was the man that killed his sister right in front of him. He took advantage of her body right in front of him. And he never had the opportunity to pay him back for what he had done. For all the humiliation and pain he’s felt for allowing such a thing to happen to his dear little sister. If he didn’t kill Hu Tao before dying himself, there truly was no such thing as a just world.
Xiao Hong fully embraced her Ice Giant bloodline as she clutched her painfully beating heart. She crouched to the ground in severe pain as she seemingly transformed into an entirely different race! Pale icy blue skin, a body temperature that was cold enough to freeze the ground she was standing on into ice, and a connection with ice qi that became innate talent. A gigantic ice blade slowly began to materialize and shape from the snowflakes sparkling around her body. This ice blade was big enough to render everyone around as mere ants.
Meili narrowed her eyes as she saw into Hu Tao’s heart. He truly planned to kill them this time around. She unsheathed her heaven-ranked soul-devouring sword as she prepared herself to strike. There was only one chance of this working, and it was most likely their only chance of defeating Hu Tao. Bo Fai gave her the opportunity to tame this sword since he was content with his phoenix flames. The last two times they were let go by Hu Tao, Meili could tell he didn’t intend to kill them purposely. So, she didn’t draw this blade those times.
This time there was no extra chance if they lost. Meili thought back to before she joined the Golden Serpent Sect. Her father, the sect leader of the Emerald Grass Slaying Sect, sent her to the Golden Serpent Sect as a way to better develop her talent. His sect was strong but nowhere near the Golden Serpent Sect's strength. He thought it was ingenious of himself to send her to the sect, build her strength, and then return to lead their Emerald Grass Slaying Sect to greater heights.
He even sent Aunt Suyin to watch over her as an undercover elder. Times were far simpler and happier before Hu Tao stepped into her life and ruined it by killing her best friend. All she had to do was cultivate, play, and train. Now, she had to run, train, and lead. If only that devious monster holding Hu Tao’s collar didn’t capture Aunt Suyin and exposed her as a traitor to the sect. That was the only reason their group was forced to retreat. Somehow that monster got Aunt Suyin to spill everything.

“What are you thinking so hard about?” Hu Tao suddenly appeared in front of Meili with a burst of lightning.
Meili didn’t hesitate to stab her sword straight toward the voice. She heard the squelching sound of her sword running through flesh and a scarily familiar voice screaming out in agony. It only took a mere second for Meili to realize her sword didn’t stab Hu Tao. She stabbed one of their strongest friends...
“Huh, you were planning to kill me with this scary son of a bitch?” Hu Tao whistled at the sword devouring the immortal soul of the phoenix host. “Good thing I'm sensitive to shit like that. Believe it or not, I've been sealed more times than the average person.” He cackled as he snapped the shocked Meili’s neck with just a slap.
In the next second, he appeared behind the idiot who made a mountain-sized ice sword and shattered through her glacial body with his clawed hand sparkling with lightning. With a bloodied grin on his face, he waved toward shell-shocked Yanyu and enraged rushing Hong Long. Just as he was about to pull out of the ice bitch, he realized that he couldn’t move his hand. “Uh oh.” He giggled.
Xiao Hong was using her remaining life essence to freeze Hu Tao for all of eternity. Despite his great strength and being a conduit for the universal force of lightning and thunder, even Hu Tao wasn’t immune to everything. Especially a person who planned to use even energy from their soul to make sure he was frozen till the end of time. Hu Tao was helpless to resist as he was frozen into a statue with a grin on his face.
Hong Long looked at the two frozen figures, conflicted. Was that it? That couldn’t be it. There was no way that could the end! His strongest technique fired into the very heavens themselves and split the clouds above since he had no target to unleash it on anymore. He heard sobbing behind him, and a certain emptiness filled him. Was it really over...?
“Looks like my baby was right about that bitch being able to see people’s true intentions.” Hu Tao reappeared from a black pile of corrosive mucus. Sending a clone of his in first, like his baby said, was a good idea.
Yanyu screamed with the rage of twenty lifetimes as she rushed at him with her half-broken sword. Hu Tao casually slipped past her with a spark of lightning as he made it to the exhausted Hong Long. His chains wrapped around her neck and entire body, completely constricting her. Hong Long stabbed forward with all of the power he could muster even if it meant crippling himself in the future.
“I guess you’ll never give me that painful death you promise after I killed your sister.” Hu Tao chuckled.
Using the Flowing Palms of Judgement, Hu Tao redirected Hong Long’s life-giving blow and utilized all of its power for himself as he palmed straight through Hong Long’s chest. Blood, bones, and organs went spilling out of the Great Prodigy’s torso. He glared into Hu Tao’s maniacal smiling eyes. “E-Even when I die, I shall haunt you for the rest of your life...” He vowed before going still.
“I already got a lot of friends waiting for me on the other side. You won’t be alone while you wait for thousands of years.” Hu Tao formed a portal to his pocket dimension underneath the struggle Yanyu.
He had to bring something back for his baby to have fun with. Not to mention, she gets upset when he doesn’t bring proof of the bodies. She says it isn't good enough even if he shows them their heart. She wants a corpse. Hu Tao also dragged the corpses of Meili and the others into his pocket dimension. Jing was really working him like a slave, huh?
Hu Tao only smiled at this realization. He was looking forward to his rewards when he returned. Hunting these pieces of trash was fun. He wondered what other kind of mission his baby could send him to do now that she was practically running the sect. She knew exactly how to push the right buttons for him too.
…
Yanyu silently sobbed in terror as an elderly black rotting figure smiled at her while she was surrounded by the corpses of her friends. What was the point of torturing someone who had nothing more to live for? Just get it over with already...
“Uncle Larry, it’s your turn. Quit messing with the girl.” A pink-haired boy lazily spoke while sitting at a table with cards.
“...” The rotting zombie left her alone and returned to the table.
Yanyu didn’t care. She just wanted to be with Bo Fai...
