The next morning, Du Yue woke up in a daze. It was hard to sleep sitting up, but he was so tired that he slept soundly.
He rubbed his eyes and looked around. There was no one beside him. He was instantly conscious and stood up at once. As soon as he stood up, he saw the figure sitting at the entrance of the cave.
He exhaled and felt instantly relieved. He had thought the boy had gone. This place is a desolate mountain. He had finally met this one, and he didn't want to run around on his own anymore. At least one more person would make him less afraid.
Scaramouche knew the moment he woke up. But he had been sitting quietly.
Du Yue walked over to Scaramouche and tapped him on the shoulder. Then he covered his mouth, yawned, and asked, "Bro, when did you wake up?"
Du Yue seemed to feel wet in his hands. He looked down and saw that Scaramouche's clothes, on his shoulders and all over his body, were slightly darker in places.
The early morning dew soaked Scaramouche's clothes. The quietness of the surrounding woods adds to the coolness.
Du Yue said, “Your clothes are wet. Did you wake up early?”
Scaramouche stood up. He turned to Du Yue and nodded.

Du Yue scratched his head. Then he turned and went into the cave. He beckoned Scaramouche to come in with him. Then he took out a few more buns and gave Scaramouche two. Then he muttered, "The bread is running low. I wonder how much longer it will last..."
They ate briefly and set out to explore the road.
Scaramouche took a close look at the energy fluctuations here last night.
He gradually found out the direction of the energy flow. It was the first time he had been exposed to this energy when he arrived, so he could not find a way out for some time.
As he got to know it, the layout became as easy for him as flipping the palm of his hand.
Scaramouche said to Du Yue next to him, "I think I know where the road is."
Du Yue is carving a mark on the tree. He turned to look at Scaramouche in shock after hearing what he said. His eyes were wide open.
Scaramouche looked at him with an innocent expression on his face, as if he hadn't just spoken.
"We can try," he added.
Du Yue thought that what Scaramouche had just said was in his head. The expression on his face changed, and several times he tried to say something to Scaramouche. But he held back when he saw Scaramouche's innocent expression.
Several times, he seemed to make up his mind at last, and said, as if resigned, "Yes."
Du Yue knew that Scaramouche was not in his right mind, and he could not understand him when he spoke to him. And he's not gonna find a way out of here any time soon. After all, he's been stuck here for two days.
Of course, the more likely outcome is that they won't find their way around. There's not much he can do in that case. But maybe Scaramouche does remember his way in here. A bad brain doesn't mean a bad memory. Besides, this place is so weird, maybe they can just stroll around and find the exit. Du Yue comforted himself with a little bitterness.
Scaramouche was surprised for a moment when Du Yue agreed. He looked Du Yue up and down calmly. He averted his eyes after making sure that Du Yue had not discovered his identity.
