Nothing really changes in Rivermore village. It’s always bright and sunny. The houses, although made of wood, never wither. The people, having lived in this village for God knows how long, never age.
Down south there’s always Kris, teaching new Heroes basic healing and destruction spells. Anna Steelheart, the best blacksmith in Rivermore ( because there is only one blacksmith in our village ) would greet me from her workshop right across. And now standing in front of me, a douchebag named XxxAsswipemotherfucker69xxX, a supposed hero of the Kingdom of Almyre is initiating a conversation.
“Noble hero! Welcome to -”
“Noble hero, you are tasked to go the ca-”
“May the divines bless y- “
And there he goes, the 1,342,756th “hero” to go to the capital and save the Kingdom from supposed “demons” rampaging the areas... other than Rivermore.
If you think that I am the pitiful quest giver that heroes neither listen to nor remember, then you are just about right. Hi there folks, my name is Danielle Fang ( yes, my name is indeed very creative and imaginative thank you very much ) and my sole job in this goddamn world is to send all the heroes to go to the capital of Almyre, Vera, a staggering... 1 minute walk from Rivermore.

To make it worse, No hero has ever ventured to the place they are supposed to go. No hero has ever talked to the goddamn King and swore by the oath of the Almyre Kingdom that they will serve and protect our areas from the demons. No hero has ever slain the god eater Nem, the villain that, according to common sense, should have been killed a long time ago if the heroes actually do their job. Countless monsters are being massacred for the sole purpose of gaining experience and materials to “toughen up” and somehow, no matter how many of them are slaughtered, the monsters keep popping up to be slain once more.
Maybe, just maybe one day there’s going to be a hero that have enough common sense to kill Nem. Maybe… I can be the one who kills Nem! People then would start listening to me! And and… nevermind. Every time I try to get out of Rivermore, some unknown force would always pull me back to where I should be standing. Every time I move out of my designated place my feet would reposition itself back to where it belongs. Every time I try to speak something other than those 3 sentences no sound would come out.
Am I going to be stuck here… forever?
