Nathan was eating breakfast with his family when the doorbell rang.

Benson went to open the door, revealing his estranged older sister and sister-in-law, Lily Smith and Matthew Marley.

They reached out to grab some of the peanuts set out on the table, tossing the empty shells on the floor carelessly. There was an ugly sneer on her face when she stated, "Outstanding? He's in hot waters now, and your family is in dire straits, yet you're completely oblivious to it!"

Benson and his family were stunned to hear that.

He hurriedly questioned, "Lily, what do you mean by that?”

She scoffed then looked at Nathan and Penny when she replied, "You can thank your daughter and her husband for that. They broke the legs of Fip Harbor, the young master of the Harbor family. The Matriarch was absolutely incensed and has sworn to destroy all of you!"

Benson and the rest paled considerably at her words.

In a quavering voice, Penny asked, "Aunt Lily, are you serious?"

Snorting, the older woman answered, "The Matriarch has already sent Mr. Noel to come and teach you both a lesson. They should be arriving in Channing today. Do I look like I'm joking?"

Her eyes took on a sly gleam before she said, "Your uncle and I are here precisely forthat reason. He's a common guest at the Harbor household and has a bit of leeway when it comes to talking to the Matriarch. When he heard about how they wanted to come after your entire family, he kept begging for mercy on your behalf. It took a lot of effort on his part before she agreed to lighten the punishment."

"What does she want now?" Benson queried.

Matthew coughed lightly before stating, "Due to my valiant efforts, she's decided on only punishing Nathan and Penny. Everybody else not involved in the incident will not be affected. She wants all of Nathan's limbs broken so that he becomes a cripple for life. Penny, on the other hand, has to become a servant to the Harbor family.
