CHAPTER 1198 AN INVITATION FROM LUCAS ZIEGLER
After Robbie was gone, Penny's face was filled with worry.
"Hubby, the Ziegler is a powerful family in the West. They also have Lucas, the General of the West, commander-in-chief of 300,000 strong army. We'll be in trouble if we angered the general."
''Don' worry," Nathan smiled. "I agree that Lucas is a little arrogant, but he's an honest person. There's no way he would help his family do bad deeds."
Penny thought that Nathan was overly optimistic about Lucas since it was his family they were talking about.
But, Penny kept her thoughts to herself.
She hoped that if the situation really came down to the worst, General Ziegler would be kind enough to not punish a mere civilian.
West Creek, Ziegler mansion.
Todd sat still on his wooden armchair. His face was as dark as one could get.
Most of the important family members were with him as well. All of them carried the same heavy expression as the master of the family.
Robbie knelt on the floor with his face still swollen and wailed, "Father, that bastard is disrespecting us! Not only is he not selling us his company, but he also even hit me!”
Todd looked at his son's swollen face and gritted his teeth. "Did you tell him that we're the Ziegler family from the West? And that your brother is the General of the West?"
"I did! But he said that even Lucas would never act arrogantly in front of him!"
"Preposterous!" Todd roared.
The rest of the relatives quickly try and calm Todd down. "Master, your 60th birthday is in two days, and Lucas will be back by then. If you tell Lucas about the situation, he'll definitely help put Nathan down."
Todd's anger died down a little after hearing the suggestion and ordered his third son, "Russell, send someone to tell Nathan to come and accept his punishment on my birthday! Tell him that this is his last warning, or I'll bring his whole family down with him!”
"Yes, father," Russell nodded.
"I want Nathan to beg for my forgiveness in front of everyone!" Todd sneered, and the whole family laughed sinisterly.
The mansion would be filled with important guests on the day of Todd's 60th birthday. Even Lucas, who rarely returned home, would be back to celebrate the special occasion.
The Zieglers thought that Nathan could only crumble and beg for their forgiveness when the time came.
Nathan was enjoying his meal at Cloud Palace Restaurant as he listened to Colin's report.
"We've sent Robbie back to the Ziegler, and Todd is enraged by our action," Colin reported. "They just ordered you to visit their mansion in West Creek on the day after tomorrow to accept your punishment. They even warned that if you choose not to go, they'll bury your whole family along with you."
"Looks like Lucas is the only decent one among his family," Nathan laughed.
Colin then took out a gold-stamped invitation. "We also received an invitation from Lucas Ziegler as well."
An invitation?
Nathan opened the invitation curiously and found out that Lucas had invited him to celebrate Todd's 60th birthday.
"This father-son pair sure is interesting." Nathan grinned. "One ordered me to accept my punishment, while the other invited me to the party as a guest." "It's most likely General Ziegler has no idea about the feud between you and his
family," Colin smiled. "Sir, what's your decision?"
"Of course I'm going, is there a reason not to?" Nathan laughed. "I want to see if they want me there to punish me or to celebrate."
