A par of eyes was looking into the distance using binoculars, the man hidden behind scarce bushes that had managed to survive the rocky terrain.
"They look to friendly, I do not like it." He managed to capture the scene where a girl was swiftly walking away from a manacing figure of a demon with many of his devilish breed around him. "Is he not attacking her anymore?"
The man hid behind the bush again, not wanting to be found out.
"I need to follow her." He grabbed a device hidden in his pocket and took it out, pressing a button on its side. "I need backup, everyone you can spare move to my coordinates."

"Hey, hey, HEY!"
"What is it?" Lucy responded to a voice in her head.
"I want to have my body back!" Krogar was throwing a tantrum.
"Ok, I will . .. Wait, on a second thought, your body?" Lucy paused, touching her lower lip with her forefinger. "Do you remember the command you have said?"
"W-What do you mean?" Krogar began panicking.
"System command, initiate the countdown to delete the artificial inteligence unit with designation Krogar, ten seconds." Lucy said coldly.
"Commencing in 10, 9, . ."
"What the hell LUCY! THIS IS NOT EVEN FUNNY !! " Krogar was freaking out.
"8. 7. - - "
"This is another bad joke for sure." Krogar began to calm down, not believing Lucy really whanted to delete him.
"6, 5 ,4 ,3, 2 -" " Pause the countdown." Lucy commanded and the countdown stopped.
"Ha ha ha very funny! What would you do without me? You would go insane, alone in this chaotic world."Krogar was ranting and kept it on and on, until Lucy's voice interrupted his tirade.
"Continue the countdown." Lucy said.

"Continuing, 1 . ."
"WHAT?!?"
"0, deleting . This will take a few seconds. Done," The mechanic voice of the subsystem routine announced.
"Good night Krogar." Lucy smiled. "Isolate the memory containing the deleted parts, exclude it from all usage."
"Done."
"This will be much better." Lucy took a deep breath and nodded, glancing at the side of her vision.
Antimatter batteries at 95,935%.
"No room for two after all, such a small stunt and it had still dropped a little."
She continued to jogg for a while, until she reached the outskirts of the town. Considering it was a border town, it had its own wall, with a few lookout towers as the part of it.
"No point in trying to get there, a border town will not be the center of research and technology anyway." Lucy decided to ignore the town, circling around it, finding out there were two roads leading out of it. Passing two gates, she simply chose the one that looked like having more traffic and began walking swiftly.
"My walking speed is about six thousand meters per hour, given I can walk all day, it is one hundred and fourty four kilometers a day no?"She had no idea how big the country was, but thinking about it, if one walked half a day, he should encounter a village, because land was resources and poeple have to get there from their homes to extract them, The bigger settlements often were roughly one day of travel away from each other using some commonly available means.
Lucy decided to just keep walking until she reached some bigger town or a city, watching passersby as she went.
When she was still close to the city, the most people walked on foot, but as she went further, most of them used horses or carriages, the groups walking on foot becoming rare. The overall dresscode was nothing fancy, but it looked like an average citizen of Faragor was not poor or wearing tattered clothes. Her white hair stood out, so she considered changing the color, but decided she was already too used to it and as a lone girl, she would attract attention anyway.
Day was slowly turning into night and Lucy had still not seen any big city. She had passed through a few villages, but they were pitifully small, consisting only of a few hundred people at most.
"Halt!" A sturdy man with brown hair jumped from behind a large rock, pointing something looking similar to a gun at her.
She stared at the imstrument thinking about its combat properties.
It had to be a gun.
She stopped and looked at the man noticing he was panting heavily.
"You had to jump me because you cannot keep up with me right?" Lucy asked.
"You are under arrest!" The man ignored her question, but judging by his surprised expression, she was right.
"Ok, and?" Lucy asked while thinking about the situation. She should be able to get rid of him easily, but it might get her into big trouble.
"I will escort you to the city of Venelon, where you will be questioned." He said while blinking his eyes, looking left and right.
"Then let's go." Lucy said with a smile and full of energy.
"Stop! We will make a camp here, it is dangerous to travel at night." The man interrupted her and his eyes fixed on a place not far away from them, a small natural cave. "Reinforcements are close, we will settle over there until they arrive."
"Fine, lead the way." Lucy got the impression, he did it simply to rest, because he could not go any further, while trying to scare her into submission with reinforcements.
"Why am I under arrest?" Lucy asked, not knowing if the man was not just a plain simple bandit.
"Smuggling, goods to Lancaria." He said as they reached the cave and he sat on a rock heavily. She decided to follow his example and sat down as well, making herself comfortable despite sitting on hard ground. Her companion did not seem inclined to discuss anything, thus they simply sat until a voice sounded from his pocket.
"Will be there in ten minutes."
"Fine, hurry up." The man took up a device from his pocket and pressed a button on it before answering.
Lucy tensed, realizing he had not been joking about the reinforcements and they apparently had some kind of a transmitter to contact each other. She looked into the barrel of his gun, which was pointing at her constantly, knowing that she could not wait for the reinforcements.
In one swift movement, she launched herself at the man, running her finger through his right eye and brain, instantly killing him. Dodging his gun was not a problem. as he had not expected her extreme speed at all.
It felt natural, but strange at the same time. Lucy knew these movements were the extensions uploaded in consideration of the character of their mission.
"Hmph, the upgrades against Yan are quite handy." The man fell to the ground, dead. "No time to waste, only nine minutes until they arrive."
Washing away the blood, using the water supplies of her enemy, she lturned around to walk away, but halted for a few seconds and gave the dead body a final, long-lasting look.
