After seeing the face of the girl with the blond hair, I instantly threw a ball of light to the sky. For a minute, the sky went as bright as the sun possible can be.

After I threw the ball of light, I immediately use my darkness element and fuse myself with the shadows.

I didn’t expect my family to follow me, and I didn’t want them to see me, so I reacted according to my situation.

“Why my mother is here? She should not be here. Did she follow me since I left the house? Did she see me using my powers?”

Those were the only thoughts that were on my mind. I was scared, and I didn’t know what to do.

After the sky went back to normal, my mother noticed that I have escaped. With sadness in her face, she said

“Ryuu, why did you escape?” “Are you afraid of us?” “You know that you shouldn’t. We are family, you know that”

She waited for my answer, but I didn’t respond. I didn’t know why, but I couldn’t believe her words. My heart said to me that I should believe her, but my mind was saying that I must think carefully about the situation.

It seemed that my mother was still waiting for my answer. It really pained me to see my mother like this, but what can I do? But then I saw that my mother was using magic

“She’s using Trace Magic!” I said to myself

I knew that I needed to escape after noticing that, but it was too late. After noticing where I was, my mother throw a blast of water from her hand toward me. I evade the attack, but at the same time I went out of my hideout.

“Damn”

I started cursing my luck. I never expected that my mom would attack me

After seeing me, she look straight at me with an apologetic face and said to me

“I’m sorry, son” “I did not want to attack you, but that was the only way for you to get out of your hideout” “Now son, let’s go back that we need to talk about this”

“No” I answered her

“Ryuu, don’t be reckless” “Let’s go home”

This time, it was my father talking. But I still didn’t listen, and I said again

“No” “Why should I go?” “I know that you are looking me now as a monster” “I know what you are thinking” “You want to get rid of me”

After saying that last sentence, I started crying. I really couldn’t helped.

After my mother attacked me, I did not know if it was right to trust them or not. In my mind, it seemed that my family was talking nice to me because of fear. Later on, they would betray me.

When my mother noticed that I started crying, her eyes started getting red. At the end, what kind of mother could tolerate see her own son crying?

But out of nowhere, I felt someone getting behind me. It was my father. It seemed that he was trying to catch me while my mother and I were having an emotional moment. But for his bad luck, I noticed him.

So, I jumped into a branch of a tree. Then, I said with sadness in my voice

“That is how you want me to trust you” “You….you just want to capture me”

“Don’t think bad of me, son or at least not of your mother” “But right now, I didn’t want to capture you” “I wanted to test you” “I wanted to see how strong my son is” My father said with a face full of pride

I was astonished

“What is my father saying?” I thought to myself

Then, my father said

“Get ready, son”

After he said that, he rushed towards me with an unbelievable speed. I, still astonished, was looking at my father while he was rushing towards me while clenching his fist. It seemed that he was aiming to my chest, so I blocked. But still the impact sent my flying. My body started breaking trees that were colliding with me due to the impact.

I couldn’t believe how strong my father was. I knew he was strong, but I never expected him to be this strong.

“So, this is the strength of a warrior of the 8th rank” I thought to myself

Laying on the floor, I tried to stand up. It seems that my body is suffering the effects of the blow.

“Damn, this body of a 6 years old” I cursed with blood in my mouth

My mother, after seeing the blood in my mouth, said

“Darling, what are you doing?” (She screamed)

“I just want to test something” “My son is tough, so don’t worry” My father answered my mom, then he rushed towards me one more time

Now knowing his strength, I won't commit the same mistake again. But I won’t use my full power, it did not matter if my father wanted to kill me or not. At the end, he was still my father. I lost my family once, which is why I won’t use my full power. I can't bear to see another member of my family die, worse if they die at my hands

My father went one more time to the blow to the chest, but this time I was prepared. I didn't evade my father's attack, in contrary, I rushed to attack too. I went to a blow to the chest too. Then, our fists collided. Because of the force of our attacks, we created a crater underneath us.

It seemed that this time, my father put his full strength into this attack. I could feel it. Then, I applied more strength in my attack and I sent him flying. As what happened to me, he started breaking the trees when his body collided with them.  My arm was numb after that collision.

When my father stood up, I saw him bleeding from the mouth too. It didn't seem that he got injured so I felt better.

It seemed that my father was going for the attack one more time, but then I saw water coming from behind my father. The water covered him from the neck to bottom, then the water started to freeze itself, which immobilized my father, at least for the time being.

I looked to the culprit of the attack, my mother, with astonishment. After she froze my father, she said

“What are you doing?” “Are you trying to kill our son?” (She screamed)

Then, she looked at me. Seeing how I had blood in my mouth, she started crying.

Trying to compose herself, she started breathing slowly. After she felt better, she said to me

“Honey, please I beg you, trust your mother” “I will not harm you”

After saying that, she started walking towards me.

But I panicked, I still couldn’t trust her completely. So I warned her

“Mother, if you take one more step, I will kill you”

But she didn’t stop, she kept walking toward me.

I didn’t want to harm my mother, so I used Conqueror’s eyes, and I make her see illusions that should scare her.

I make her seeing lava coming towards her, I make her seeing all type of monsters coming towards her, and I make her seeing all kind of things that could scare a normal person.

But she did not hesitate, and with the heart that just a mother would understand, she kept walking.

After I saw her resolution, I fell on my knees. I knew that I lost this battle. I wouldn't dare to harm my mom. So, I closed my eyes with tears falling down my cheeks waiting for death.

But death did not come, instead a warm hug I received.

I opened my eyes, and I feel the tears of my mom falling on my shoulder. Then I ask

“Why didn’t you kill me?”

“How could I dare kill my only son” She answered

“B…But I am a monster” I answered back

“No, you are not” “You are my son, Ryuu” “My only son” She answered

After hearing those words,  I started crying.
