Chapter 20: Vytal Festival (Part 7) Berserker
======================================
Robin and Yang walked up to the stage. Yang was in brown shorts and boots which complemented her yellow t-shirt. She started shadow-boxing a bit in front of her while waiting for the signal. Robin also started stretching his arms and legs. When they were done, Thomas spoke into the microphone.
“Alright, are you ready? Begin!”

Yellow and silver covered their bodies as they rushed towards one another. In a split second, both fighters threw a right punch. Their fists connected and they proceeded to close quarters combat. Yang would alternate between jabbing, swinging, and kicking. Robin would either dodge the attempts or block them completely, taking minor damage from her attacks. Then, Yang threw a swing that was too wide.
= Chance! =
He ducked underneath and swung an uppercut. Yang was a bit too slow and the blow connected with her chin.
-45
At the same time, her own fist flew sideways and slammed against Robin's face. Both fighters backed off and examined the trade.
-40
= Hm. She about even with me in strength, but her fighting is more instinctual than through training. Plus, I have more aura than her. If it's like that, I can expose that weakness. =
This time, Robin took the initiative. Rushing forward he swung his right arm to her face. Yang blocked it and Robin repeated the action with his left. Blocking it again, Yang used both arms to guard against Robin. He grabbed her arms and delivered a kick to her stomach, sending her backwards. Robin jumped into a front flip to deliver an axe kick to her head, but Yang leaned to the side and dodged the blow.
Robin's leg smacked the ground and a small dent appeared where he hit. Yang grabbed his leg and started to spin him around. After a while, she threw him towards the edge of the stage. Tumbling, Robin grabbed the floor to stop himself. Upon stopping, he was greeted by the same axe kick he tried on her. The blow landed on his back and knocked the wind out of him.
“Urrg.”

Robin lifted himself off the ground as Yang jumped back to re-position herself.

Robin pumped more aura into his body and rushed to throw a punch toward Yang's face. Suddenly faced with an increase of speed, Yang moved both arms to block it. However, that left her midsection wide open.
“Oof.”
-53
Robin had thrown two punches simutaneously. The first to Yang's face and the other to her gut. Yang's instincts was to protect her face, so she raised both hands. With her sight blocked, she didn't respond to the second blow. Robin took this chance to spin and deliver a low kick. Losing her balance, Yang tilted and fell to the left, only to receive a fist to her face.
-51
The blow sent her flying a couple of feet. After rolling a bit, she laid face-down on the ground. Robin took this chance to gather his breath and check their statuses.
Yang Xiao Long (Lvl 14)HP:241/390Aura:307/390
Robin S. Wolfheart (Lvl 16)HP:281/385Aura:483/605
= Looks like I'll be able to win if this keeps up. =
“..hahaha.”
Laying there on the ground, Yang suddenly started laughing. Her hair started to glow, giving the illusion as if it was on fire. Getting up, she looked right at Robin. Her eyes had changed from purple to red.
“I knew you were strong. This is gonna be fun.”
Licking her lips, she suddenly dashed forward with a much faster speed than before. She had pumped more auras into her legs but the amount in her arms were still roughly the same. Regardless of this, she still threw a punch out towards Robin who had strengthen his arms and legs to an even greater extent than before. Expecting to easily block it, Robin put out his hand to catch the blow while readying his fist to counterattack.

Yang's fist easily broke his guard and slammed Robin's face. This sent him flying as he was once again punished for underestimating his opponent. Robin had paid extra attention to any techniques Yang might use to crush him, but he was greeted with a simple brawl match. Faced with yet another punch, he forgot they had another weapon they were able to use.
= Damn it! It's her semblance isn't it? =
Yang had increased her speed and did not give more aura to her arms, yet the hits were obviously much stronger than before. If one looked at her, her fiery yellow hair and red eyes were obvious indicators this was different than before.
The author's tale has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.
“Looks like you realized it huh?”
On Yang's face was the hugest smirk Robin had seen. Confident in her victory, she began foolishly revealing her secret.
“My semblance is Berserker. The harder I get hit, the stronger I am. This doesn't increase speed, but all I have to do is use my aura for that you know?”
She banged her fists together and looked at Robin with expectant eyes.
“Now lets start the real fight.”
Her figure became a blur as she approached him. Robin quickly jumped to the side to avoid the girl. With her punch hitting nothing but air, she frowned and looked at Robin.
“Aw come on, don't run. That's boring.”
= I can't be stingy with this girl. The longer I fight, the worst this gets. I'll need to end this now. =
Enhance
Robin avoided her attempts to start a fight. If he didn't land a decisive blow, she would only get stronger. However, he knew becoming stronger didn't make her invincible. The fact her health decreased was something he saw with his own eyes. All he had to do was render her unable to fight back while he beat her down, and this was something he was able to do thanks to his new skill.
Acupuncture
Four spots on Yang's body emitted a small circle of white light. Two on each shoulder and two on each legs. The same spots Robin had been attacked in the last match by Ren. This time, however, it was gonna help him instead.
Yang had become impatient. Robin was doing nothing but avoiding her ever since she powered up. After finally getting fired up, she was now playing a lame game of cat and mouse. Then in one step, Robin had landed wierdly and lost his balance.
= There! =
With his side wide open, Yang delivered a strong punch to the ribs to decide the match. Unfortunately for her, this was purposefully done by Robin. He lightly jumped up and spun in the air. As he rotated, Yang's body passed by and Robin's two fingers formed a hook in each hand. Pressing them down on her shoulders, Yang felt a feeling of numbness in her arm as pain shot through her shoulder.

The two backed off and when they were a bit farther apart, Yang clutched her left shoulder. Despite how much she tried, she could not get a response. A window popped up in front of Robin.
You've successfully disabled Yang Xiao Long's left arm for 60 seconds.
= Darn, I missed her other shoulder. But this is good. I have to win this match in the next minute. =
Yang's face changed. She immediately recognized this situation was similar to Robin's earlier match. However, she was not confident in being able to fight as well with her legs as Robin had. Robin did not give her the chance to run away and immediately ran towards her.
Desperately trying to block, Yang raised her right arm to reduce the damage as much as possible as she tried to back away. However, her form was based on her instincts, so naturally, she couldn't block Robin who used both arms and his legs to attack her. Slowly, but gradually, her health started to dwindle.

Yang poured more aura to protect herself and reduce the damage, but in the end it resulted in her reaching the danger zone.
*Whistle* “Stop the Fight!”
Robin froze his fist midway as Yang turned to Thomas who interrupted them.
“Yang's aura has slipped into the danger zone! Thus the winner of this match is Robin Wolfheart!”
Shocked at her lost, Yang turned to Robin and gave him a glare.
“Next time, I'll definitely win!” She walked towards Thomas, pouting all the while drinking her elixir.
“..Sigh..” Robin walked over and drank it as well. Refreshed, he went to the bathroom inside the academy to change clothes.
= ...Even though I won, both matches were very close even though I was stronger than them. Now, I have to fight against HER. =
Robin recalled the image of Raven as he took a quick shower to cleanse his body. She surpassed him in aura and skill. Not only that, he wouldn't have gotten past the preliminary round without her help and she still didn't break a sweat. Even though he had higher health, she could easily take care of him. He fought two battles while making mistakes, and now he had to fight one where he could lose without even making any.
“... Sigh..”
Once again sighing, he put on his new clothes as the sound of the whistle blew outside. Looks like Raven had once again won her round without difficulty.

Still feel like crap. But since I'm better than before, I typed out the next fight that was half finished on my laptop. I'm gonna wait till i'm fully recovered for Raven and Robin's fight. Rate, comment, etc. Thanks for reading! I'm out.
Edit: I did minor changes of the numbers to match their strength. Before you guys mention Robin's health doesn't match, I said at the beginning he 'took minor damage'.
