Part 2 : Epilogue

"I have successfully killed Ussan, current ruler of iteration 8034. Next target is the only known god of iteration 103. Target god: unknown. End message."

Obelisk had always hated existence. Unlike a spiritual form, a physical body had limitations and restrictions that followed the current iteration's rules. However, Obelisk hated being confined in his father's body for all of eternity even worse.

Ironically, Obelisk envied Elase for that. She was now dead, the fragments of her soul free to wander the full world of the iteration. Although Elase wasn't Unbound, she didn't have to follow the rules that the Old Gods have put on the native gods of iteration 312. Or, as it's native mortals called it, Alium. Fortunately, it wouldn't be too long until Obelisk could become free as well. Either he would die and be free to wander the depths of the iteration or he would truly become Unbound and travel the iterations, no longer confined to iteration 312. No matter if he lost this battle for Alium or he won it, Obelisk would still become free at the end.

"Obelisk, I have brought Ussan's soul," another being declared, ripping through the walls of the iteration and entering Obelisk's soul domain.

"Well done. Even with the previous delay, you were much quicker than expected. You truly earn your title, God-Killer," the floating soul that was called Obelisk responded.

"May I ask a question, Obelisk?"

"Yes, you may," Obelisk agreed, taking grasp of Ussan's fractured soul and integrating it into a part of his own soul.

A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

"Do you ever find it weird that a mortal such as me is talking to a great being like yourself while retaining their material form?"

Obelisk pondered for a while after the question was asked, taking the chance to materialise into his physical body next to God-Killer. "Occasionally. May I ask a question in return then?"

"Of course, Obelisk, you can ask anything you want at any time," God-killer said, disturbed that someone like Obelisk was asking for permission from a lowly soul like himself. At least, that's how the arrogant god interpreted him.

"What was your name before you became Unbound? Or rather, do you have a name other than your title?"

Like Obelisk before him, God-Killer sank into deep thought racking his mind for the answer. "As you should know, when an existence becomes Unbound, many forsake their old name for a new one. However, I instead decided to keep my old name. It's been a while since I've used that name however, and instead have taken to 'God-Killer'. If I remember correctly, I was called Marma-"

"Obelisk," Another being announced, coming into existence behind Obelisk and God-Killer.

"What is it, Dhalene?!" Obelisk shouted, turning towards the physical body of Dhalene.

"We are ready to commence the attack and move into Enderall's forest. Not only that but my giants have landed on the island's coast, ready to proceed with the previous plan."

"Then do it! You don't need my permission for such menial things Dhalene. You should know better than that," Obelisk reprimanded, calming down slightly.

"We shall then proceed. For Ruin."

"For Ruin," both Obelisk and God-Killer responded, seeing Dhalene's corporal form disappear as he left the Void.

"Now, let's continue in peace, God-Killer."

"Yes, Obelisk."
