Chapter 2.5
Slowly stretching his sore muscles Kyle got up from the capsule. surprised at how tired he felt despite having spent the last thirty or so hours laying down on the capsule. Taking a quick inventory of his weirdly tired muscles he decided to start is off-time some exercise.
*Sniff* *Sniff*
Followed by a much needed shower.
As he let the scalding water relax his now pleasantly tired muscles Kyle allowed his mind wander.
It´s a bit scary how fast humans can adapt to most conditions. Four days of Eva’s training and i’m actually eager to get back on it. despite the new spoon.
A slow shiver went through him despite the hot water as he remembered how he started his second day of training.
“What is that?”
“A spoon, a big spoon to be more precise”
“You agreed to leave the spoon out of this!”
“I agreed to let ‘Spoony’, my wooden spoon out of this. This one’s made of iron”
*Whimper*
His grumbling stomach saved him from remembering the shock and pain he felt the first time the new, shiny spoon hit him. After getting out of the shower Kalthier realized that his estimation of spending six to eight hours after a whole day of gaming was not possible, not if he wanted to keep his body healthy so he could play for years to no end.
Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.
Thinking about his health Kyle didn’t even bother checking his kitchen, instead he grabbed his keys and went to do some shopping. Time to put his shiny new kitchen to use.
After a quick trip to the supermarket and spending close to an hour filling up his empty kitchen with actual food Kyle put his newfound skills to the test.
Twenty minutes later he was scraping his third plate of scrambled eggs, his stomach ridiculously empty after a day without food.
Setting his alarm to ring seven hours later Kyle went to bed trying to find a reasonable excuse to tell Eva for disappearing for two whole days.
Really, the whole time difference is amazing but it has some serious drawbacks when time is of essence in game.
Almost as soon as the thought left his mind he was sound asleep.
A zombie like Kyle woke up to his alarm and, moving on autopilot, went towards the kitchen. It wasn't until he was putting the dishes in the dishwasher that he started laughing. Somehow without a trace of conscious thought behind him he made a simple, but surprisingly edible lunch with homemade french fries even. No fires, no smoke and a decent taste. It left him grinning as he went towards his capsule. Maybe Eva knew what she was doing after all.
Nevertheless, She's still a demon that will haunt me to the end of my days.
Never having bothered to check his cell phone, or turn on his computer Kyle never saw the swarm of messages, emails and voicemails he had received during the last two days.
