In the days that followed, Noelle didn't see Hendrix at all.
Jennifer, however, proved to be a very competent guide. Over the past few days, she had taken Noelle to explore many places in Sintrun. They weren't all the typical tourist hotspots, either.
Jennifer arranged the itinerary thoughtfully, with a perfect balance of activity and rest, making the outings enjoyable and never tiring
"There's going to be a fireworks show tonight," Jennifer said as they ate. "It's not an everyday event. It's for Thanksgiving. I've reserved a spot for you upstairs-at one of the most famous viewing points. Once we finish dinner, head up there and take a look. It's absolutely spectacular!"noveldrama
"Are you not going to be with me?"
Jennifer smiled and said, "Ms. Swanson, I have a boyfriend, too. I have been ignoring him the past few days. If I don't go back now, he's going to be mad."
"I'm sorry. You..."
"It's nothing, really. This is my job, and it's what I should do. If you're truly satisfied with my arrangements, could you put in a good word for me with Mr. Freeman?"
"I don't really...
"Oh, no worries! As long as you're happy, my job is done." Tennifer quickly smiled again. "Alright. It's about time for me to leave. Enjoy the fireworks show. It's all set for you to watch from up there." With that, she turned and walked away without hesitation.
Noelle watched her retreating figure, suddenly feeling that this situation might not be as simple as it seemed.
However, Jennifer had already left. Even if she wanted to ask, she could only swallow it down. Soon, the restaurant slowly became empty.
Noelle didn't want to leave. But after glancing outside at the excitement on everyone's faces, she finally stood up. When she reached the rooftop, she realized it had started snowing.
Snow wasn't a com
a common sight in Sitrun, and during this time of year, it felt all the more precious and romantic. As Noelle walked over, she noticed two couples kissing nearby. The others, if not couples, were friends.
Compared to them, her solitary presence felt starkly out of place.
Ever since she returned to the Swanson family, this was the kind of scene Noelle dreaded the most, feeling as if she were isolated from the rest of the world.
The laughter and noise around her seemed to have nothing to do with her. So, at that moment, Noelle hesitated and thought about retreating
She was just about to step back when she noticed someone else standing there, alone, just like her. He was wearing a long gray coat tonight, his hair as neatly combed as ever. Even though he was by himself, wasn't a hint of awkwardness about him.

He looked more like a god who had casually descended to earth-aloof and unbothered, surveying everything with quiet detachment.
As Noelle's gaze lingered on his silhouette, a burst of firelight suddenly illuminated the sky.
It rose into the air and exploded against the dark canvas of the night, a dazzling array of colors blossoming like a radiant flower in full bloom.
And that was just the beginning. Soon, more fireworks followed, one after another, like a garden in spring, where flowers competed to outshine each other-endless bursts of brilliance stretching across the sky for miles.
Around her, gasps of awe filled the air.
Even Noelle's footsteps came to an abrupt halt as she stared blankly at the dazzling display above. Then,
as if remembering something, her gaze shifted toward Hendrix.
At that very moment, Hendrix turned his head.
Their eyes met, locking in an instant.
