Chapter 1
Jonathan lay on his bed, thinking about the future. He had graduated from college yesterday and was expected to get a job and become a working member of society. So he was mentally organizing his options. He was an orphan without a family and had been too wrapped up in studying to make friends, so he didn't have to worry about keeping up relationships. Given that plus the fact that the Earth league had a standardized language by promoting and teaching Standard in all schools across the world, he could just about anywhere there was a company willing to hire him.
He was just Gotten up and was going to search for which companies were hiring game designers when he heard a voice in his ear.
"Congratulations to the Chosen for winning the support of the will of the Multiverse and becoming the Ultimate."
"Who are you? Is this a prank?" He demanded spinning around and searching for the source of the voice.
Then there was a flash of light and he appeared in a blank white space. Next to him was a blob of multicolored light.
"In answer to your questions, I am your assistant, here to answer all your questions and to help you with your mission. And no this is not a prank, this is real."
Jonathon was confused but, given his experiences, he was used to adapting to unusual situations. What was important now was to determine where he was and what the mission the assistant was talking about was. "Where are we? And what's the mission I'm supposed to complete?".
"We're in your world, You can think of it as a privilege granted to you by the Will of the Multiverse. You can control everything inside of it, and it will be the place you spend most of your time as Ultimate is too powerful to be in a regular universe for long." Explained the Assistant. And your mission is to promote the growth of the Multiverse and create many flourishing Universes."
"So exactly how do I go around making new Universes? But before that, How come I'm the one that was chosen as the Ultimate? And what about the people I knew back on earth? I wasn’t too close to them but many of my classmates should still notice if I go missing right?"
"The criteria set by the Will of the Multiverse was the chosen one would have no close relations to help impartiality, To be kind enough to care if others are suffering but not too kind in that they prioritize the suffering of others over their mission, And finally to be smart enough to do their job properly. You were the one who best fit those criteria." explained the Assistant "As for making new Universes, it will be intuitive for you to do once you become the Ultimate. And for your final question, all traces of your existence including memories were erased when I brought you here."

"You mean that I'm not the Ultimate? Do I have to do something to become the Ultimate?" Jonathan asked.
"You have to accept the position" The Assistant explained
"What do you mean? Do I have to accept it spiritually or something?" He asked, confused.
"No, You just have to say it" It answered
"Oh alright then," He Said "I accept the position"
Then an enormous flood of power emerged from the world and poured into his body causing the world to shake as it rapidly shrunk.
When he came to, the first thing he noticed when he looked around was that he didn't see anymore. It wasn't that his eyes didn't rather work, the way he was perceiving the world was different. Instead of the 5 five senses he just knew. He could perceive the world as it was, not from reflected light or vibrations.
The second thing I noticed was that the world was now much smaller, about 100 meters by 100 meters at present. Which was minuscule compared to its massive size before.
The third thing he noticed was that when he tried to look past the boundaries of his world he saw a massive black void. In the void, there was one glowing ball.
"That glowing ball you see is the universe you originated from." Said the assistant. "This is the current state of the Multiverse."
"What do you mean by the current state?" he questioned "It was different before?"
"I would ask the Chosen to use the ability to see into the past for the answer to that question, about 1 million years should do"
As the Ultimate he could do things like look into the past intuitively. Like how a normal person can move their arms without having to think about it. So he complied with the assistant and began tracing the past.
Then he almost fell down in shock once he saw it. Hundreds of thousands of glowing balls. The weakest ones were little glowing balls comparable to a firefly, and the greatest three shining with the size and might of the Sun.
He spun around to face the Assistant and demanded "what happened?"
"War happened," The Assistant explained, with a touch of sadness in its tone."The three biggest Universes, representing the peaks of technology, magic, and cultivation respectively, went to war and dragged all Universes into the flames of war with them. Only one Universe survived that war and that only that universe was too new, it had not given birth to Intelligent life for long enough to open the world bridges to other universes."
"So I'm supposed to restore that?”
“Not exactly, you see that wasn't the first time this has happened. This cycle has repeated an uncountable number of times, with the Ultimate building up the Multiverse to a thriving state, then it collapses, because of one reason or another." The assistant explained. "You were chosen because this cycle could not continue. So you should try something new."
“Alright then, is there anything else I should know before I begin?” Jonathan asked. “ Such as any rules I have to follow? Or can I do this however I want?”
“The only thing is that you must be impartial, in that you cannot punish or reward without sufficient reason.” the Assistant said.
“Let’s start then,” Said Jonathan with a smile before he had lived life with no ambition, no real goal.
But now? Now he was brimming with ideas, ready to try out every single one.
