The dark chains, barely visible but exuding a chilling, seemed to hold a thousand times more power than their appearance suggested. They started to form around him and the box. The small amount of blood began to move over the chains as if measuring something.
After it was over, the box, now completely bound by the chains, began to show signs of change. The chains started to shake as the blood acted like acid, breaking them apart. Cracks formed, and moments later, the chains broke into pieces and disappeared into the darkness.
The lights returned to normal instantly.
Rey looked around to see if he could find the chains, but they were gone. He looked at the trio to see their reaction, but they seemed unfazed. He asked,
"Oii, did you see what happened just now? It was totally crazy what did you all do just now!"
He wanted to hear their thoughts on what had just occurred.
"Huh, what are you saying, kid? What crazy thing? We've been here the whole and didn't even blink. Nothing happened. You just blanked for a second and now you're asking us this," Victor said. Rey was confused; what he saw seemed real, not an imagination. But now Victor was telling him that nothing had happened, even though Rey remembered being there for a few minutes.
"But I am telling the truth, the seal of that box which was holding it from opening did open in front of my eyes. you see my blood floating and breaking the chains holding it like acid?" He said, Zero, who was silent the time, nodded as she was feeling some reality change here which was much harder to catch, much less enter.
"So, this kid really saw the thing happening just now which wasn't even visible to us." Victor asked with a shocking expression, and Aiden just nodded. After which, the smug face of Rey was brimming with joy.
"Okay, I admit I didn't feel anything, so just keep that smug face away from me before I show you a pain you won't be able to forget." He said, as Rey started to feel his body hot like his blood was surging inside him. He quickly became silent to avoid punishment.
Rey, who nodded at them after cooling down his body, tried to open the box, after the seal removal, opened up like a normal box.
