[Hello!  You may be wondering why you are here.]

I was startled at the voice that was booming in my ears.

[I am a god.  More importantly, I am THE god of another world, and I have brought you here from your world for a purpose.]

[To make things clearer, you died in your own world and have no path forward there.  So, I decided to bring you here to make your lives more than what they were.]

[You may have many questions, but I do not have time for them, so I will only tell you the important parts and let you be on your way.]

[Congratulations!  I have chosen you two as players in my game.  I have grown board from existing for so long and I have decided that I wish to die.  Thus, I need someone to take my place as the god of my world.]

[The good news is that it could be one of you.  The bad news is that I’m not going to just make one of you a god.  I want some entertainment first before I die.  Yes!  Who will win and become a god and who will loose and cease to exist?] 

[Yes.  You heard right.  I have decided that the winner of this game will be the new god of this world and the looser will cease to exist.]

[This is a high stakes game and I’m sorry, but you cannot refuse this.  So, let me explain about the game first.]  

[You can win the game one of two ways.  The first is the easiest, kill the other contestant in this game and you will win.  The second and harder path for this game is to try and rule my world.  That is to say, you must have all intelligent life drawn under your banner.(give or take a few exceptions)  If you win you get to be a god, if you lose then your soul will cease to exist forever.  The greatest high stakes game in history will now be played all over my world.]

[Speaking of my world, I think it would be a good idea for you to understand it a little.  To begin, my world is not like your world.  In my world, beings from your wildest fantasies are real, and magic and demons and angels exist.  It has many different species and difficulties.  It is a world of wonder and beauty, but also one of cruelty and death.  In this world, might makes right.  If you do not have the strength to fight and protect yourself, then you could die from the smallest and weakest animals and beasts.  Furthermore, in my world, everything is based off of a system, and the strengths you have and the abilities you can use are related to this system.  I created this system because I wanted everything to be more organizable.  Thus, my world is this way.]

[Now, since you are humans from another world and know nothing of mine, I feel like you would need something to help you along your way to make up for the weaknesses you will have there.  So, I have decided to allow each of you to have a part of my divinity.  What you do with it is up to you.]

[First and foremost, I will make you both partially immortal.  That is to say, you will not die of old age.  You can still die from disease and being stabbed and the like, but aging is not one of them.  And since you both are around the same age, things won’t be too tilted towards one player over the other.]

[I will also place you both on different sides of my world, relatively.  This is so you both won’t kill each other quickly and end the game to soon.]

[Now, I think I have said all the things I needed to.  So, now with everything said, good luck my champions!  I look forward to an entertaining show!]

After that god’s speech the whiteness disappeared, and it all turned black.  I didn’t even get to see the other player.  All the information was just too much at once and I had not time to let it all sink in when I suddenly became very dizzy and passed out.
