Chapter 96-The Clash of Titans

Chapter 96-The Clash of Titans

The battle between Thronjaw and Victor commenced with an intensity that shook the very ground beneath them. Each combatant moved with deadly precision, their strikes and counterstrikes perfectly timed. Thronjaw's sword gleamed as it slashed through the air, while Victor's fists struck with unerring accuracy. The two fighters were evenly matched, neither giving an inch.

Thronjaw’s shark-like features were a mask of concentration, his every movement calculated to exploit any opening. He swung his sword with a grace and power that belied his brutal appearance, each strike aimed to incapacitate his opponent. Victor, on the other hand, moved with a fluidity that seemed almost inhuman. He dodged and parried Thronjaw’s attacks with ease, his confidence unshaken.

Thronjaw managed to land a few solid blows, his sword cutting through Victor's defenses. But Victor was relentless, his fists striking back with a force that rattled Thronjaw's bones. The two warriors exchanged strikes, their movements a blur of speed and power. It was a battle of equals, each one pushing the other to their limits.

As they clashed, the sound of metal against flesh and the grunts of exertion filled the air. Thronjaw's swordsmanship was unparalleled, his strikes precise and powerful. He moved with a predatory grace, his eyes never leaving Victor. Each swing of his sword was calculated, aimed at exploiting any weakness in Victor's defense.

Victor, for his part, fought with a single hand, his movements almost lazy. His other arm remained relaxed at his side, a testament to his confidence. He dodged and countered Thronjaw’s attacks with a fluidity that seemed almost inhuman. Despite the ferocity of Thronjaw’s strikes, Victor's defenses held strong. He moved with a grace that belied his brutal strength, his eyes never leaving his opponent.

Thronjaw’s attacks were relentless, his shark-like features twisted into a mask of concentration. He swung his sword with deadly precision, each strike aimed at incapacitating his opponent. Victor, however, moved with an ease that seemed almost mocking. He dodged and parried Thronjaw’s attacks with a fluidity that belied his strength, his confidence unshaken.

After a particularly fierce exchange, Victor stepped back, his eyes glinting with amusement behind his visor. "Why don't we stop playing around and go all out?" he suggested, his tone almost casual.

Thronjaw smirked, his shark-like teeth bared in a predatory grin. "I was about to say the same thing," he replied, his voice low and dangerous.

Victor's smile widened. "If I go all out, this battle won't be any fun," he said, a hint of mockery in his voice.

"Same goes for me," Thronjaw retorted, his grip tightening on his sword.

The battle resumed with renewed ferocity. Thronjaw launched himself at Victor, his attacks a whirlwind of kicks, punches, and even headbutts. His sword moved with deadly precision, slicing through the air with each swing. But Victor was just as relentless. He dodged most of Thronjaw's slashes with ease, his body moving like a shadow.

Despite Thronjaw’s best efforts, Victor's defenses held strong. Thronjaw managed to land a deep cut on Victor's chest, but the wound seemed to have little effect on his opponent. Victor’s smile never wavered, his confidence unshaken.

Watching the intense battle, Lance turned to Uriel, his voice filled with concern. "Uriel... That thing, it devours our energy the more we battle... Doesn't it? The thing that attacked us earlier when we were fighting Victor."

Uriel nodded, his expression grim. "Yeah, it seems that way. It’s like it’s feeding off our strength, using our own attacks against us. We need to find a way to overcome it."

As Thronjaw continued to battle, it became clear that he was starting to feel the effects. His movements grew slower, his strikes less powerful. Victor, on the other hand, seemed to grow stronger with each passing moment. He mocked Thronjaw, his voice filled with derision. "Is that all you've got, Thronjaw? I expected more from a Calamity Class."

Thronjaw's frustration mounted, but he refused to back down. "I’m not done yet," he growled, determination burning in his eyes. He knew that he had to end this quickly, and there was only one way to do it. He had to use his strongest attack.

Lance and Uriel, realizing what Thronjaw was about to do, shouted in unison, "DON'T DO IT, THRONJAW!"

But it was too late. Thronjaw had already launched his Shining Shark Slash, a powerful, glowing attack aimed directly at Victor. The energy of the slash cut through the air, its light illuminating the battlefield. It connected with Victor, but instead of injuring him, the attack was redirected. The energy of the slash appeared on Thronjaw's own body, cutting him down and sending him crashing to the ground.

Victor stood over Thronjaw’s fallen form, his laughter echoing through the air. "Another one of you Undergrounders defeated," he said, his voice filled with triumph.

The battlefield was now littered with debris and the fallen forms of Lance, Uriel, and Thronjaw. Victor's presence loomed over them, his confidence and power unshaken. His victory seemed assured, a testament to his overwhelming strength and the potency of his ring.

Lance, struggling to lift his head, looked over at Uriel. "We need to find a way to stop him," he gasped, his voice filled with determination despite his injuries. "We can't let him win."

Uriel nodded, his eyes filled with a fierce resolve. "We'll find a way, Lance. We have to."

As Victor turned his attention back to the fallen warriors, he couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. "You thought you could defeat me," he said, his voice filled with contempt. "But all you've done is delay the inevitable."
