After his decision Dr. Cromwell leaves and doesn’t come back until the next morning. She comes back with new clothes and Jason is thankful. The only thing he has now is the hospital gown he’s been wearing for the past week or so. The clothes she gives him consist of a brand new pair of  jeans and a flash shirt which he finds ironic since he can literally use lightning.

Jason has tried to use his ability all through the night but all he could manage were tiny red sparks that did nothing.

Jason goes into the restroom and changes into his new clothes. When he comes out Dr. Cromwell leads him out of the room and into an elevator. They go up.

“Wait, Why are we going up?”

“Headmaster Sin is waiting on the roof with a little surprise”, she smiles. Jason is confused but doesn’t question it since he’ll find out in a few moments. The elevator doors open and he walks out. The headmaster is facing him while there’s a group of five behind him. Two boys and three girls. The headmaster is dressed in the same attire as the day before and the group is dressed in a uniform of black and red.

“I'm glad you took me up on my offer, Jason”, Headmaster Sin says while walking to him. The group follows behind him. “Let me introduce you to your fellow peers, This is Victor Bradley”, he points to the biggest boy. He’s built like a mountain and just by looking at him you feel pressure. “This is Zach Cooper, who you saw already,” The blond boy, Zach, winks and does a two-fingered salute.

“Emely Castilla,” A small girl with dark hair nods at him.

“Jane Castilla, sister of Emely,” She is tall with the same dark hair as her sister.

“And finally Alice Tess”, This girl is taller than the other two and curvier. Her hair a golden blond with silver eyes.

Jason nods and looks at all of them more closely. Victor’s eyes are brown but are surrounded by a black band. Zach’s eyes are sky blue color surrounded by a yellow band. Emely’s and Jane’s eyes are green except the former has a brown band while the other has a lavender band. Alice's eyes are silver with a brown band. Every single person around Jason has an ability of one kind or another.

“Everyone this is Jason Price. He will be joining us at Cain academy.”

The mountain, Victor he corrects himself, approaches him and offers him his hand. Jason shakes it and Victor smiles at him.

“Good to have you with us,” Victor turns to the headmaster,” We should be going now headmaster”.

“Ready Jason?” Jason nods “Okay let’s go. Zach if you will”. The blond boy nods.

“Wait… how are we getting there? Are we going by helicopter?” Jason looks into the sky seeing if he can spot one, but sees nothing.

“No man, Just stand close to the group and make sure you’re touching me.” Zach approaches him. Everyone else is already touching a part of his body.

“What will that accomplish? Is that your ability?”

“It's easier to show you so grab on”.

Jason grabs onto his shirt and looks at Zach. His eyes turn completely yellow and suddenly everything goes black. The next instant he’s on top of a cliff overlooking a forest. The forest goes on for miles in front of him. Jason turns around and there’s more trees. How was that possible a second ago he was standing on top a hospital building surrounded by other buildings but now there’s nothing but trees for miles. He looks at the other people but they don’t look as confused as he feels. They look more annoyed except Zach who has a sheepish look on his face. His eyes are back to the blue with only the yellow showing.

“You missed the gateway Zach,” Victor says.

“Sorry sorry, I still need more practice.”

“Don’t judge him victor. He’s trying his best here,” Alice says,” It's not like you haven’t made mistakes before.”

“Guys, come on Jason doesn’t need to see this side of you guys yet,” Jane interrupts,” let’s just walk the rest of the way it's not that far anyway.”

“I agree. Some walking will let some of us cool off,” Headmaster Sin chimes in stopping any further discussion. “It's better to just go forward instead of finding a natural way down. VIctor you are up.”

“Wait, hold on i'm not jumping off a cliff.” Jason interrupts.

Victor looks at Jason and smiles at him. “Trust me mate, I won’t drop you”.

“Don’t drop me Victor,” Alice says and jumps of the cliff.

Jason runs to the edge of the cliff trying to grab her before she’s gone but it's too late.

“What was that? Why would she do that? Why are you guys calm? A girls just jumped off a cliff and no one stopped her.”

Victor approaches him at the edge of the cliff with his hands in front of him as a sign of no harm.

“Mate calm down, she’s fine, trust me.” Victor’s eyes are completely black with not a sign of brown anywhere. “ Now that you are a part of our world you should learn that the things you thought were impossible before are not as impossible now.”

“Wha-” Jason tries to say but is shoved off the cliff by Victor. He screams as he falls. After a few seconds of screaming he stops and looks below him. The ground is not coming as fast as he thought, instead it seems to be slowly coming. He’s not falling more like floating down. After another five seconds his feet touch the floor. He checks himself over but everything is intact nothing is broken.

Alice comes out from behind a tree trying to muffle her laughter but eventually she gives up and laughs without restraint.

“I'm…….sorry…. that..hahaha...was funny,” She tries to talk but is out of breath from laughing so hard. “You should have seen your face and ,omg, your screams sounded like a little girl”. She laughs for another with random words like girl, screaming, and face in between. Jason’s face is red and he avoids looking at her. After another couple of seconds she finally stops.

“Okay, i'm done, Move so that no one lands on you.” Jason moves toward her avoiding her gaze.

“Look here they come”.

Jason looks up and sees the headmaster and Dr. Cromwell floating down looking as if this is an everyday occurrence. After them is the remaining four. They all land and dust themselves off. None mention what just happened a few moments ago and Jason is too embarrassed to bring up the point that Victor shoved him off the cliff. The headmaster walks forward and the rest follow.They continue walking in silence with the occasional snicker from Alice.

“Oh for the love of God, Can you be quiet Alice. It wasn’t that funny?” Victor interrupts the silence.

“It so was, and don’t blame me you were the one that shoved him off”

The headmaster sighs but says nothing already knowing what's going to happen. Jason says nothing, his face red again with the memory of his embarrassment. Instead he focuses on Emely choosing to ignore their argument. She hasn’t spoken to him since she met him. Everyone else has but her. They continue walking and he tries to get up the nerve to talk to her. He sees that she is going to step in a hole and goes to stop her. She flinches when he grabs her shoulder.

“Sorry, i didn't mean to grab you that hard, it's just you were going to step into a hole.”

“No it's fine,” she replies in a small voice, “ Thank you.” She turns to him and her eyes are no longer green but a glowing brown.

“I'm sorry for your loss,” She says.

It startles Json. He only told Dr. Cromwell and the headmaster. How could she know? Even though he barely knew them for a short time he could tell that they wouldn’t tell anyone his secrets. So how could she know? She sees his expression of shock and hurries to explain.

“I'm sorry, I didn’t mean to do it. It just happened and I couldn’t control it. It sometimes activates randomly when something or someone new touches me.”

Jason says nothing and she hurries to continue.

“My ability lets me see the pasts of people and objects. Don’t worry I won’t tell anyone about your past.”

Jason nods and continues to walk not saying anything. He looks around but everyone else is paying attention to Victor’s and Alice’s argument and not minding them. After another minute of walking they come to a stop in front of a massive tree. It's short  not going above the other trees around it but it's trunk is massive.

‘Ahhh finally, Here we are,” the headmaster grabs something from his pocket that looks like a tree and puts it into a hole in the tree. In the next second the tree disappears and so does the rest of the trees. In the forests place are buildings. In a second the forest of trees turned into a forest of buildings.
