Chapter 455

Andrew's face clouded over with a familiar gloom.

Benjamin, captivated by the allure of wealth, earnestly urged Andrew, "Dad, Mr. Gyle has a point. If you just have a heart-to-heart with Nathan, we can put all this behind us. This project could bring a hefty profit to Rowland Corporation." Andrew shot Benjamin a resentful look, feeling a pang of disappointment at his son's willingness to switch sides so easily.

In the end, he left Gyle's office, feeling defeated and downtrodden.

Three days later, Nathan was on the mend, his health much improved. Even while recuperating, the fame of his Maple Company spread like wildfire throughout the Capital. Nathan's popularity skyrocketed.

Tales of his remarkable journey, his almost otherworldly intelligence, and his striking good looks were the talk of the town. Nathan became the number one eligible bachelor for the daughters of high society.

Every day, a parade of wealthy young women arrived at Nathan's doorstep with gifts, each more lavish than the last. Dominick and Ford were nearly overwhelmed by the sheer volume of presents, most of which were incredibly luxurious. Ford always turned his nose up, "These gifts are so boring and unoriginal."

Dominick, who had a penchant for wealth, replied, "Who needs originality when these are worth a fortune? We'll just cash them in and buy whatever we fancy. Isn't that just perfect?"

Ford couldn't wrap his head around Dominick's logic.

"Whether it's gifts or money, I couldn't care less. My heart only beats for Miss Nathalie."

Dominick sighed deeply.

He fished out a few sweet potatoes from the pile of gifts, raising them with disdain, "Now, this is something else. Sweet potatoes for a few bucks a pound. Who thought this was a good idea? Are they treating our master like a charity case?" Nathan, who had been listlessly lounging, perked up at the sight of the sweet potatoes in Dominick's hands, his eyes lighting up as if he'd struck gold.

"Dominick," he called, rushing over.

Grabbing the sweet potatoes, he demanded, "Who sent these?"noveldrama

Dominick rummaged through bags of farm produce, "Whoever sent these probably didn't dare leave their name."

Nathan, clearly irritated, barked at Dominick, "I'm telling you, track down the woman who sent this gift and bring her here right away."

Dominick was flummoxed, "Master, that's impossible. She didn't leave any name..."

Nathan hinted, "It's Nathalie."

Dominick was taken aback.

Muttering to himself, "How did Master fall for such a cheapskate?"

Determined to fulfill Nathan's command, Dominick pleaded with Ford to use his sharp mind to locate Nathalie's address.

Ford, through some clever

quickly got hold of Nathalie's address and handed it over to Dominick, "There you go. Go fetch Nathalie."

Seeking backup, Dominick dragged Ford along, "I was blind to Nathalie's value before and probably offended her. She might not even want to see me Ford, you have to back me up."

Ford asked, "What can I possibly do?"

Dominick, with a serious expression, replied, "You've got this naturally sympathetic look. Just pour on the pity, and Nathalie might be moved enough to come back willingly."

And with that, Ford was pulled along by Dominick.
