My heart skipped as I saw Alina slump, but thankfully, Kyle caught her before she reached the ground.

“Alina?” Kyle tapped her cheeks softly, trying to help her gain consciousness. “Alina, please, open your eyes.”

Kyle looked terrified. I turned to look at Dane, and he shook his head at me. “I’m sure she is pretending.”

I sighed as I looked at her, feeling worried for her, but I met Kyle’s eyes instead. He looked like he would cry soon.

I was about to go help him out, but Dane held me back again. ‘Aurora… you have a soft heart… I know she is pretending.”

I sighed.

I saw Evelyn rise from her seat, grabbing the can of water on her table. Before I could say a word, she was on the stage, and she poured water on Alina’s face.

I gasped and got up on my feet. Alina rushed up with a gasp too. She turned to Kyle and hugged him. “Baby… save me, baby.”

My jaw fell in shock. “She…” I pointed at her, “How is she calling the cleaner her baby now? I thought he was not up to her level?”

Dane scoffed. “Well, he is now an Alpha. What did you expect from her?”

“Despicable,” I said as I shook my head.

Kyle got up and helped Alina up, “I don’t have time for your games, Alina… I want nothing to do with you. I will take you with me and keep you under house arrest until you deliver my child… then you can leave. Also, the baby is yours, you can come see him anytime you want.”

Alina shook her head as she tried to hold Kyle’s hand, but he shook off her hand from his.

“Baby… I made a mistake… I love you, I was only concerned about how you’d feed the baby and…”

“Guard!” Kyle called, and some female guards entered the ballroom. They got to the front, and they faced Kyle, “Yes, Alpha?”

“Bring her with me,” he said as he walked off the stage. He reached my table, and he bowed to Dane, “Greetings, Alpha

Dane.”

Dane got up and shook his hand, “What are you bowing for, Alpha Kyle?”

Kyle smirked, “You are an elder to me, and at the same time, you have been an Alpha for a very long time. I am not up to your standards, sir… I look up to you.”

Kyle bowed again, and Dane looked at me awkwardly. I gave him a nod, and he patted Kyle’s back.

Kyle looked up at me, “Luna,” he got on his knees and took my hands, my jaw dropped, “Luna, you reunited a child and his father, your home will always be filled with the laughter of

children.”

He kissed my hands and touched them to his forehead and then his chest. I turned to look at Dane to see if he was mad, but he was smiling genuinely.

“Kyle… I did what was right for me to do… Get up, now.”

He got up and turned to Dane, “We will take our leave now…” Dane and I gave him a nod.

“Have a safe journey back,” I said.

Dane stood up to his feet and said, “Alina… you are banished from this pack… never to return. Since you have refused to change your ways… I will not allow you to disrupt the peace of this pack any longer.”

Alina’s jaw dropped. She was made to walk by the female guards, and tears trickled down her cheeks as she went past me.

I gulped as I looked at her. Dane held my hand on my lap, and he squeezed it, “She deserved every bit of that.”

They went out, and the doors of the ballroom were shut. Joclyn

went up on stage again.

“Sorry for the disturbance… can we have some refreshments. while we listen to some cool melody to revive the mood.”

Everyone cheered, and the waiters started to serve everyone as we listened to the music playing.

“Aurora…” I turned to Dane, and I raised a brow. “I am sorry

he said.

I gulped, I cupped his face as I smiled at him. “Shh… You don’t need to say anything… I understand you, and I am sorry for keeping everything away from you.”

Dane leaned in and kissed my lips. I kissed him back, and he drew back and swiped his thumb over my lips.

The waiter placed a bottle of red wine and glasses in front of us, and I grabbed the glass, and Dane poured it for me. He poured it for himself before raising it for a toast, and we clinked our glasses together.

I took a sip, and as I dropped the glass, I started to feel uneasy. I grabbed the table as I gulped.

It feels like I’m going to puke.

“Dane,” I called, “I… I don’t feel well.”

Dane rubbed my back as I leaned on the table. I felt a bit dizzy

too.

“Dane… let me use the washroom.” I got up and headed to the

washroom.

I hastened my steps, and immediately I got in, I reached and wrapped the sink to gain balance. I felt my stomach turn, and I held it as I puked into the sink.

I rinsed my lips and turned. I saw a hand giving me a wipe, and I took it and wiped my lips. “Are you okay?” noveldrama

I nodded as I wiped the beads of sweat on my forehead. I looked up to see Dane looking at me worriedly.

I wonder what is wrong with me. Dane touched my forehead. “You are burning up, Aurora.”

Immediately he said that, I started to feel cold. I reached for his hand and held it with my shaky hands.

“I’m cold.”

Dane took off his suit and placed it around my shoulders. “Can you go back to the ball, or would you go to the room instead?”

I want to rest. “Room,” I replied.

Dane nodded and carried me in his arms as he headed through the back door. He didn’t want to alert any other person.

He got to our room and dropped me on the bed. “Relax here… I will go get you some warm soup.”

Dane walked out of the door, and as he rushed out, his phone fell out of his pocket.

“Dane?” I called, but he had already gone. I managed to get up and sit on the bed. Slowly, I held the table and got to my feet when I walked to the phone near the door.

As I bent to pick it up, I slumped on the ground.
