"Mother!!"
Sebastian immediately dashed towards his mother who was lying on the floor unconscious. The boy kneeled down and then shook her arm a few times but there was no reaction- he then kept calling out to his mother desperately.
Worry and distress was plastered all over his face and he knew he had to do something. The boy then decided to slowly turn his mother's body over so that she would be facing upwards towards him.
Sebastian began to feel shivers all over his body, even his arms and hands were slightly shaking... In his mind, he was panicking as if the world was already ending. That's how much his mother meant to him.
Realising this, Sebastian's train of thought slowly began to switch and he took many deep breaths. His other self tried to calm him down. As Sebastian's 'other self' was accustomed to adjusting his emotions and thoughts- the boy was able to relax relatively easily.
Instead of immediately bringing a change in thoughts and emotions, Sebastian's other self chose to slowly bring about the necessary change by letting Sebastian have some form of control over his emotions. This was to negate any feelings of confusion.
Sebastian's other self simply fed him the information steadily and imprinted the idea of what to do within his mind. The rest was up to Sebastian- whether he would carry out the instructions or not.
It was important that Sebastian would learn how to keep himself level-headed in the face of stressful events or situations. After all, they may even become a time where Sebastian's 'other self' ceases to exist. Although their existences have collided, they have not fully merged together.
[There still exists two souls residing in that one body.]
One thing that was for certain...
Unbeknownst to Sebastian, the boy was being prepared for 'something' by his other self.
Whatever or whenever that 'something' would appear or happen was not known yet to Sebastian, but he would definitely have to confront it one day.
A minute had passed by and then finally... Sebastian's mother's eyes quivered and began to open.
"Se-bastian...?"
"M-Mother, are you okay!? What happened!"
Sebastian had thousands of questions prowling through his mind, yet he thought it would be best if he were to only say a few of them... like usual.
"-Ah... I see."
[So it was all just a dream.]
"Mother?"
"Oh, I- I'm not too sure..."
That was a lie.
Although, Sebastian's mother was confused about the situation- she already knew exactly why she had fainted. There was no escaping it- the constant negative voices that tormented her each day and the spirals of self-doubt which she continued to live with. That was how she was like- be it the past or the future.
"Mother..."
Sebastian held his mother's hand gently and looked over her eyes with deep concern. In his eyes, his mother truly felt vulnerable and weaker than ever before.
"I- I must've been thinking too deeply and... and my body might've been tired too."
Sylvia averted her eyes away from her son and naturally, some of the truth began to come out from her mouth. She couldn't possibly lie to her son, or any of her family. It was unthinkable.
Sebastian noticed that his mother's eyes were surrounded by dark circles and inferred that she hadn't been able to get much rest recently.
"A-Ah... My head..."
Sylvia tried to lift her arm and reach towards her head but she couldn't quite manage to do it. She then let her arm down and curled her fingers unknowingly to ease the painful rigidness which she felt in her hands.
The child's voice began to thicken and become even more unsteady. Worry filled his mind and he couldn't escape from the feeling of restlessness after seeing the state his mother was in.
"Mother, stop... Y-You need to relax."
"I..."
"Let me take care of things. Umm... I'll massage your head, maybe that'll minimise the pain."
"O-Okay... thank you."
Sebastian gently pressed his mother's forehead with both of his hands. Each set of his fingers started moving slowly at the corners of his mother's forehead and then joined the two thumbs placed in the middle.
He repeated the motion several times and alternated his actions- he rubbed his mother's temples in a circular motion and kneaded all over her head. He made sure that each area would get the right amount of pressure so that his mother could feel more relaxed.
It's been a while since I've done this... I guess I stopped 2 months ago, when Father was supposed to return.
The young boy was clearly very experienced in giving massages. He would always do them whenever his father requested it after a long, hard day at work. Usually, he would knead his father's fatigued legs and also massage his head whenever he needed to do so.
Time had passed and then there were more people who asked for him to help relieve their mental or physical fatigue. Though, it was only the people close to him which he helped like Scarlet or her father and mother.
Sebastian put down his hands after a long while, and decided on his next course of action.
"Mother, I'll go and get someone for help. Maybe... Scarlet's mother, if I find her. And I think... you need to rest for a few days."
"But, Sebastian... I- I'll be alright. I... can still handle things by myself. That's right, I need to work. Otherwise, how else would we be able to continue living?"
"...NO."
"Huh?"
"Oh- I mean... Mother- I... umm. I don't think working now would help, you'd probably faint again because you haven't rested enough."
"Even so... I-"
"We can just ask Scarlet's family for help whenever we need to. We are close with them, right?"
"... I- I don't want to keep relying on them all the time. I- I just..."
[I want to have the strength to be able to do things on my own and the power to keep things together with that very same strength.]
To Sylvia, it felt like she was taking advantage of her close friends. Constantly asking for help whenever it was needed. She began to hate the idea of asking for help from anyone, whether she was working or whether she wasn't.
She felt humiliation in the fact that she was weak.
As a mother, she should be able to take care of things by herself. That's what she had thought, ever since Sebastian was born. That one thought had continued to grow stronger and became more prominent when her husband had not returned back to them...
"..."
It didn't help that she was hiding a secret all by herself. That's why she had paid much more attention to her surroundings around the time Sebastian was much younger.
Situations where people whispering about her as her eyes darted across the room to identify each and every person, was certainly not uncommon. She was always fearing the worst- that the truth would someday come out.
[I... I just want to be left alone. I want to live peacefully with my son.
It's laughable, isn't it? I should be the strong one, but I'm not.
Everyone knows the fact that I'm weak... that I'm a burden. I... I am ashamed of being afraid all the time. I just...]
[I hate myself.]
Sebastian could see a downcast and disheartened look on his mother's dispirited face. His own face slowly turned into that of anxiousness and he could feel frustration crawling up to his head.
Sebastian pushed his hair back from his forehead and thought for a moment. The boy closed his eyes, sighed, then opened his eyes again and decided that enough was enough.
Sebastian suddenly lifted his mother up, noticing how frail and easy to carry she was, and carried her to the only bedroom within their house so that his mother could rest properly.
"Se-Sebastian, put me down! I- I can stand by myself, you kno-"
No matter what Sylvia said, it wouldn't get through to her son. He was trying his best to take care of her despite not fully knowing what to do. She realised this after seeing the unchanging determined expression on his face as he carried her.
Sebastian laid his mother down onto a bed on the floor and clearly instructed her to not get up and just rest. Sylvia was unable to refute her son anymore and listened to him, she began to understand a bit of his worries and fears.
Now... I need something for Mother to eat. I should probably ask help from Scarlet's mother then.
Just as Sebastian was about to unlock the door and head outside, someone knocked on the door from the other side.
...
Sebastian's right hand hung in the air around the lock, but for some reason- he felt hesitant to open the door. There was a certain thought or feeling that he had received from his mind, rather... it was purely based on instinct and his senses all spelled out-
'Danger'.
Sebastian could feel it vividly almost as if he could taste it. It was as if something was leaking in through the door and the tiny cracks within his home- yet at the same time the air itself that he was breathing felt strange. Whatever this unusual feeling was, it had something to do with the person standing outside- or that's what the boy thought at first.
Sebastian slowly opened the door and unexpectedly, Scarlet's mother appeared with a rare blank expression on her face.
"Oh- uhm... Mrs Cynebal, what brings you here today?
"Oh- well I... I don't know exactly. I was just having a leisurely walk and was thinking within my own little world..."
"Uhuh..."
"And the next thing I knew- I suddenly just found myself at your door."
"I see... quite the 'odd' experience- but it's great that you're here."
The boy breathed a sigh of relief and quickly told Scarlet's mother, Amelia, about the situation. They both decided that it would be better for Sebastian's mother and him to stay at her house.
"My~ You've gotten quite strong haven't you, Sebastian?"
To Amelia's surprise, Sebastian was able to carry his mother by himself and without relying on someone else's help- she then spent the entire time praising Sebastian as the two headed off to her house.
Sebastian never thought of his growth as something special or worthy to talk about. The way he viewed himself was that he was the type of person to only experience growth after a long period of time with no progress at all.
His assumption was based on his past experiences where he tried to train himself with the guidance of his father but saw no progress for weeks. Whether it was due to his commitment or his effort, he wasn't able to tell.
Only recently had Sebastian felt that he received significant growth, but that in itself was not even nearly enough to cover the amount of training he had done in the past. The boy felt like there was no link at all between his growth, the amount of time he spent training, and also the effort he put in.
This growth was rather spontaneous than anything, he hadn't seen any growth from the weeks of training he had done in the past yet the few days he spent training recently, proved to be more fruitful. It was bizarre to him but that wasn't what he thought about the most. The boy had undoubtedly experienced growth... and yet-
[For him, it still wasn't enough.]
Sebastian wanted power, not just strength. But in order to obtain power, he knew he needed strength. After all, power was a combination of many factors and could be displayed in various ways and in different contexts.
Right now, strength was merely a single piece of a large puzzle he would need to complete. Without a doubt, it would take him very long to complete it... unless something unexpected happened.
Sebastian had arrived at Scarlet's house and waited for his mother to recover alongside Scarlet's mother. Amelia mainly took care of Sylvia as Sebastian and Scarlet would either help when needed or just wait. Cynebal was focused on his hunting job so he was away for most of the time.
Sebastian stayed by his mother's side the entire time and 2 days had passed by relatively slowly for him... but something unexpected happened on the third day.
The boy was spending a lot of his time looking after his mother or chatting with his friend, Scarlet, but most of the time he spent was on thinking. He had been experiencing many mystifying or surreal occurrences over the past few days. And a lot of these events had some possible form of link to 'witches'.
"Witches..."
Sebastian was alone with his mother and accidentally let the word out. He had just briefly mentioned it and he kept his voice quiet, but his mother's ears seemed to have somehow caught it.
For some reason, Sylvia behaved strangely after hearing what Sebastian had said. Right after she darted her eyes to Sebastian, she quickly looked away from him and faced the wall. Sweat began to drip from her forehead and her heartbeat seemed to have risen as she was breathing more heavily.
Sebastian eyed his mother and stared at her for a while. After seeing the suspicious reaction from his mother- he started to think.
Could mother possibly know something I don't? Is she hiding something? But why?

[I need to know.]
"Mother. You know something, don't you?"
"What do you mean, Sebastian?"
"There's no point feigning ignorance in front of me. I know you know something, mother."
"..."
"Please tell me. Is there something I should know? If... you're hiding something, then shouldn't it be okay to tell me?"
"I..."
"Mother, I trust you more than anyone else in this world. I'm sure you know that you mean a lot to me, so I hope that you can trust me too."
"..."
"Mother?"
"Of course, I trust you Sebastian- but... just make sure you never speak about what I'm going to tell you to anyone."
"...Alright, I promise."
After being unable to shake off her child's persistence, the mother then began to reveal an untold story.
"This will take some time to explain but it's important. In the past, when you weren't born yet-"
Sylvia struggled to get the words out which she had hidden for many years.
"I... the truth is- I- I once saved a witch."
"...Huh?"
----------------------------------------------------------
"Of all things, it was by chance... and even though I know how much witches are hated- I'm still glad that I met 'her'."
"..."
"After taking a regular stroll through a safe forest, I met a witch."
"Ah, I see..."
"Back then, I didn't know exactly what to do since your father was busy and out working. It didn't help that I wasn't good at making decisions by myself either. But after finding the witch injured and alone within the forests, I only saw how much pain she was in and how much she would have to suffer if I left her alone... That's why I helped her."
"But... didn't she harm you? I thought witches hated humans?"
"No, she didn't hurt me. I'm sure she had the power to even though she was injured- but... she didn't."
"That sure is unusual..."
"After hearing the sounds of guards patrolling nearby, I carried her on my back- back then I was pretty strong, haha."
"..."
"A-and, well... I took her away deeper into the forest without fully knowing where to go. I had lost my way after a while since there were no tracks to follow within the forest I was in, but then... the witch spoke."
"There's no point in trying to take me back to your home and hiding me there, if that's what you were planning."
"I- uhh..."
"Things wouldn't end well for you or me."
"...Then what should we do?"
"Given how you're willing to help me, I assume you're not going to back out now. Truly commendable, human."
"Uh... thanks?"
"I'll be guiding you, just listen to the directions I give you. I'll have to sleep for a little while but I'll give you the information you need by using..."
The witch fell silent and then Sylvia stopped dead in her tracks. She tried to look behind her and steal a glance at the sleeping face of the witch she was carrying, but even though her black hood covered only her eyes... Sylvia was unable to see the rest of the witch's face.
It had an unusual shadow cast over it.
"...By the way, there's no point in trying to identify me. I've set up necessary measures before you could even try."
"Eeeek!"
Sylvia jumped slightly in surprise at the sound of a distinct, clear and mature voice. She could hear it so well that it was as if the witch's voice was sent directly to her ears.
"Turn left and keep walking."
"Ah- Yes!"
I see... so this is what she meant- by how she would guide me even in her sleep. Yes, everything points towards it.
It was mysterious yet intriguing, fascinating and extraordinary. You couldn't see it, but you could tell that it was flowing around you and it could whisper like the wind. That's right, like small drops of water- it poured into my ears.
"Magic."
Using the power of magic, the witch had recorded the instructions within her mind and sent it directly to Sylvia so that she could listen to it and follow the directions she was given.
If you were to compare this unordinary use of magic to other forms, then this would only be a mere grain of sand in an ever-expanding desert.
[Magic is limitless, the potential it has is without a doubt, endless.]
That's why humans had feared the witches, that's why they began a great order to eradicate them from this world. They realised its potential, its 'power'- and it didn't help that only witches could use the power of magic, and so... the humans became jealous. They then decided that if they couldn't have it, then the witches shouldn't either.
This was what caused friction between humans and witches. And, it had ultimately led to the destruction of an alliance between all races that was once put in place in the past.
It was certainly ironic, after all... The leading factor in forging this alliance was none other than, 'The Exiled Witch'.
Haah, the next thing I knew, the instructions had led me to the bottom of a ravine...
Of course, there are... less people nearby, but it isn't like anyone couldn't appear randomly so I've got to be a bit wary of my surroundings.
The directions have stopped and I'm now eyeing a peculiar area on the wall within the ravine of the canyon. So... What should I do now? And what- what's this?
Sylvia stared and closely inspected a white marking which made out a large spherical shape on the wall of the ravine.
"Go into the wall."
"...Oh, I see."
Right, magic could be used in different ways. That should've been obvious to me, but I was still confused. I watched my leg as it disappeared into the wall, and took a deep breath before heading in.
"Uhm... there's nothing here."
It was a medium sized cave designed like a living space and had light coming from... somewhere, but other than that- there was nothing in here.
"Close your eyes, human."
"Yes, alright..."
Sylvia closed her eyes and began to think about what was about to happen, but before she was even able to form a concrete thought- the witch spoke once again.
"Open your eyes."
"Huh, that quick? What was the poi-"
Sylvia dropped her mouth in awe at what was surrounding her. Bookcases full of knowledge and desks filled with piles of papers of research. Potions and lamps powered by magic. To the left was an empty hallway and to the right was another room where a massive cauldron came into view.
"Th- This, you... Just how?" Sylvia knew exactly what the witch had used but was still absolutely flabbergasted.
"Of course, I used magic. I merely shaped the cave how I wanted it to be. All I needed to do after that was think about my home and then by using magic- I brought some of its contents here."
"But, this is just... Can other-"
"Only I can do this. No other witch in the world possesses more variety in magic or even power than I do."
"Amazing..."
"To humans it may be mind blowing or unthinkable, but to us witches- it's nothing new. Every witch is aware of what magic can do. Of course, only those who are skilled and experienced are able to show the most refined and unique displays of magic."
"I see... so you're at the top of the top then, huh."
"That's right, but enough of being amazed by me- hurry up and lay my body down on that bed over there."
"Oh, yes!"
...
"I've got some potions over there on that table, go grab them and mix them up- then pour the mixture into my mouth."
"Uhh, are you sure it's okay to grab them randomly and then mix them- what if they're dangerous?"
"Potions do not affect me in any way that would disadvantage me, they can only heal me. That's it."
"Oh..."
"On the other hand, for other witches or for humans- it may harm them, turn them into mindless beasts, or even kill them."
"I see, gotta be careful then..."
"I've become so advanced within the studies of magic that I've already obtained a body immune to the negative effects of potions. So now, whatever potion I drink- all it'll do is help me recover."
"Wait, so are you immort-"
"No. I am not 'immortal'. I was experimenting on myself and somehow almost killed myself. In the end, I am just a witch. I have my limits, just like humans or any other race."
"Oh, but I guess it would be pretty difficult to die for you. Haha..."
"Yeah, it's pretty much impossible for anyone or anything to kill me right now."
"Oh... wow."
"...Alright, enough talking. Pour the mixture into my mouth and then leave this cave immediately."
"But..."
"I'll recover in no time, so there's no need to worry." Seriously... a human worrying about a witch- when was the last time that happened?
"Even though my body is still asleep, as I've already regained half of my strength- I can teleport you to the inside of your home. All you have to do is think of it."
"Oh, okay. I guess... this is goodbye, then."
"Before you leave, may I ask for your name, human?"
"Ah- sure. I'm Sylvia Quent... What's your name?"
"...I do not give out my name so easily to people, even if it is my saviour. But I shall tell you what most call me, though it doesn't seem like you're too knowledgeable about witches and their names at all..."
"Right, that's true. I don't really know anything about witches..."
"What my fellow witches and you humans call me is..."
"The Exiled Witch."
----------------------------------------------------------
Hiding a witch away from travellers and then attending to her wounds, Sylvia had truly done an unforgivable act in the eyes of most humans. But this unforgivable act would only come to benefit her in the future.
After all, the witch was indebted to Sebastian's mother. In her mind, she always remembered that no matter what- she would undoubtedly repay Sylvia one day, in the future.
"I see... is that everything you can tell me?" Sebastian asked as he tilted his head to his right side.
"No, there's still much more..."
"..."
"This happened many years after my meeting with the witch. Ever since you were born, you have been... 'unlucky'."
"...What?"
"All the doctors we had gone to had said that you had an unknown condition that related to your skin which causes you to feel like it's burning. You were also restless at times and would itch the spots on your skin until even blood came out."
"What..."
"The doctors had also said that this condition could possibly be lifelong given that they knew nothing about it, and had no cure for it."
"I just don't understand how I can't remember anything..."
"You were very young back then, only 3 years old. Me and your Father were very scared, after what the doctors had said..."
Sylvia remembered exactly what each one of them had said, their conclusions were all similar in a sense.
"I'm afraid to say that... this unknown condition that your son has, could possibly be lifelong. Given the symptoms you have listed, it also would impact his quality of life negatively. I'm sorry, but I'm unable to help you."
Sebastian's mother and father did their best to find a doctor to help Sebastian but all efforts were unsuccessful.
"Many doctors had been unable to diagnose the problem, and one..."
"Hmm?"
"One had even dared to claim that you had been cursed by a witch."
---------------------------------------------------------
"There's not much else I need to say about that, it's pretty straightforward. The doctor chased us out of his clinic, and me and your father ran away in fear that he would bring other people and something much worse would happen."
"I see..."
"I think that was the last time we had gone to a doctor, you were about 4 years old by then and you could say that we had even given up."
"..."
"After that, most of our money was gone so we had to focus on finding a place to settle down and gather food somehow. It was great that your father was a hardworking man, he was able to find work quickly and even if the pay wasn't the best- it was enough to keep us alive."
Sylvia couldn't bear to hear Sebastian crying and seeing him in pain for such a long time. His condition continued to progress and worsen as the years went by.
Sebastian's father, Bernard, did his best to gather any information or knowledge he could find about his son's illness- but in the end, he couldn't find anything concrete. He was even beginning to think that his son had been cursed by a witch, and the only way to be freed of a curse was to kill the witch who had cast it...
Finding a witch was near impossible, and finding the one who had cursed someone was simply preposterous. The only way to find a witch was if they had revealed themselves on purpose.
"One night, before going to bed- I had deeply wished for you to be free of pain, to be cured just like I had done the whole entire time."
"Mother..."
"The only difference this time was that God had answered my prayers and had given me a chance."
"Hmm?"
"On that same night, I had a dream. I was surrounded by darkness. My skin and hands felt cold but it was bearable. The ground I was standing on seemed to be made of water and it changed shape with each step I took."
...
"I didn't know where I was going, I kept hesitating and going in different directions rather than following one path. But that's when... I heard a familiar voice. I was drawn to it as if it were light. It was my only hope within the darkness..."
"Uhm... was that voice-"
"Yes, it belonged to the witch that I met several years ago. She had told me to see her once more."
...
"I have the answers you're seeking for, human."
"...Is- Is what you're saying true?"
"You have no need to be speculative or afraid. I have a debt to repay and I shall repay it in full."
"Please tell me! What should I do? How should I cure my son!?!"
"Go to where you had last seen me and I shall be there, ready to help you."
After waking up, Sebastian's mother instantly would do as she was told. Sylvia secretly went out into the night to go and meet the witch. She was lucky that her son stayed asleep instead of waking up and crying again, but that night had felt longer than ever for her.
With her child in her arms, she ran deep within a forest to take a shortcut to where the witch resided. Suddenly, a shadowy figure appeared before her and the mother stepped back in surprise making her trip and fall backwards.
The mother held onto her child closely and began fearing the worst... but it had not happened. Instead, the figure stood still for a while in front of her and its appearance became more apparent to Sylvia as her eyes adjusted to the dark.
A person wearing a hooded black robe which outlined their body distinctively and suggested that the unknown person was a woman.
"Oh, it was you. My bad, it's been many years since I had last seen your face... human."
Sylvia went wide-eyed as realisation began to hit her.
"You! You're-"
"I apologise for frightening you. I had thought that it would be much easier if I were to come straight to you and found myself to be in a bit of a hurry."
"Ah- no, it's okay. I should be thankful more than anything."
"Well then, let's get your son checked. Just sit comfortably on the grass with your son in your arms, that's all you need to do."
"Okay!"
Witches are born with the power of magic but to use it... requires belief. And to further enhance it, one must need true understanding behind the magic they are using.
Magic is regarded as a natural force that exists within this world. For magic to manifest, one must use the spirit energy that exists around oneself. However, just like the wind- spirit energy cannot be seen. And to believe in the unseen proves very difficult for some.
It might be difficult to understand at first, but with proper study, it can be harnessed and used as a tool. Healing magic does not exist within the various records which are kept safely within the Grand Library of Witches. Furthermore, curing one of an illness or curse using magic is unheard of.
However, that which is impossible for all witches... does not apply to me, The Exiled Witch.
"Eyes of the spirits, grant me your sight."
The witch blinked once and within an instant, she was able to see the spirit energy that glowed and floated in the air around her.
When utilising the eyes of spirits, one is able to detect the spirit energy around them and even magic that has been used. Curses are a part of dark magic, usually the victim would have a dark, withering flame surrounding their heart...
But, from what I'm seeing... this boy has no curse on him. He must have some sort of unknown illness or condition then. Although it is impossible for all witches to use healing magic, that is no longer correct- I have the power to cure him.
After decades of research, I had come to a realisation. This had led me to become the first- the only witch to be able to use healing magic. I had tested it on many animals such as birds, bears, bunnies- and so on. But, I have never used it on a human... I never needed to.
One must gather the spirit energy that is present around them and transfer it to the bodies of the being that must be cured or healed. If it works on animals, then it must work on humans. All I have to do is believe.
The Exiled Witch held out her right arm towards the child a few steps away from her, she then opened up her right hand and let her fingers stretch out.
Masses of spirit energy brightly shined like light and gathered at the fingertips of the witch. The witch opened her eyes and with a clear voice, she said...
"Iasis Soma."
The radiating spirit energy flung towards the child and dispersed into his body. The witch then patiently waited for a while as the mother stayed calm and quiet.
After a short while, the witch checked to see what would happen to the spirit energy residing within the child, but instead of disappearing like she had thought it would do- it remained in the same place.
"...I am done."
"Huh? Oh! Umm... thank y-"
"There is no need to thank me yet. First see how your child fairs for the next following days and confirm his condition with your own eyes."
"Ah, okay..."
"There is no need to worry, I can guarantee with utmost certainty that he has been cured. After all... I have done this many times before."
"Alright, if you say so..."
"I guess this is goodbye once again... Sylvia."
"-Oh... Yeah, I guess it is."
"Close your eyes and think about your home, I'll teleport you there to save you some time. Make sure to keep this a secret too... you know why."
"Yes- Okay. Goodbye then..."
"Goodbye."
[I'll be looking forward to seeing you again in the future, Sylvia... and your son too.]
The Exiled Witch repaid Sebastian's mother and cured Sebastian from his unknown illness. Time had passed for Sylvia and Bernard, and they were full of delight and joy after seeing Sebastian no longer in pain. It was like a miracle to them, their son had unbelievably been cured.
"From that day, from the age of 6 and onwards, you were freed from your illness. We could finally all be happy and live peacefully..."
"To think such a thing had happened to me, it truly is unbelievable..."
"Yeah..."
I have no recollection of the past about my illness. Sure, I had felt pain before... but I never remembered the time when I had this unknown condition. But, the most interesting thing was that-
The Exiled Witch was all a part of this.
When she had met me in the forest a few days ago, it didn't seem like she knew me- but maybe that wasn't true. If so... then maybe I can use this connection with her and-
Yeah, I'm sure this will work... without a doubt. In fact, maybe this is what she was expecting. For whatever reason, I do not know. I have no way to know. But, it certainly is possible, that's what I had concluded.
---------------------------------------------------------
Magic is limitless, the potential it has is, without a doubt, endless. That's why, I- The Exiled Witch, believe in this book that tells the future. It shows my future in great detail and also some things about others. From this book, I'll also know what will happen in the world, but this is with lesser detail.
I couldn't 'change' anything that was written in here and was unable to prove the book wrong. Everything that I had experienced had already been predicted by it- both my success and my failures. Now, I just carry on with my life and occasionally read the book to look forward to the future.
"Soon, a great change will occur that will affect the whole world. There will be a single person to be the light that will spark a change in this world."
I will be waiting patiently for you, the one who will become the only person that will remind me of myself... Now, it is up to you to decide how you'll change this story. After all...
[The future is in your hands, wanderer of fates.]
----------------------------------------------------------
This book I possess is unfathomable. I don't understand how it works. Everything that I have experienced in my life so far has already been predicted by it- both my past tragedies and my future failures. I wonder if there are others that possess a similar book...
I couldn't 'change' anything that was written in this book and was unable to prove the book wrong. But now, things may be different because... the words have changed. The words have never changed before, so I had come to the conclusion that something or someone was at the root of all this.
"Soon, a great change will occur that will affect the whole world. There will be a single person to be the light that will spark that same change in this world."
That is what this book of the future has told me. A change will occur, one that I would want to stop... After all, it leads to my death and even the end of the world.
No one will be able to escape their fate, but I will without a doubt try. If the words of this book can change, then it is possible. I won't let my presumed death be the end for me. I will reign victorious and your fate shall be to die by my hands. That's why...
[I am waiting for you, trespasser of fates.]
