Hendrix immediately got into the car. "I'll head over there now."
"We're at Bar Street. Noelle is really drunk, so I'm going to take her to rest at a hotel," replied Sandra. "There are only two of you, so don't do anything rash. Just send me the address, and I'll be there right away."
After that, Hendrix immediately instructed Levi to start the car. However, it seemed that Sandra hadn't even registered what he had said about not doing anything rash. She simply sent him an address. Hendrix realized something wasn't right the moment he say the address. He quickly called Dan and asked him to head over to Noelle's apartment to see whether she was there. After that, he tried to call Noel himself.
The phone kept ringing, but no one answered.
By the time Hendrix reached the hotel lobby, Dan had already messaged him back, confirming that Noelle hadn't returned to her apartment.
With no further concerns, Hendrix made his way to Room 1008. He hadn't even pressed the doorbell for long before Sandra appeared, opening the door.
The room was suffused with warmth from the heater. Sandra was clad in nothing but a black slip dress, and there was a heavy scent of alcohol clinging to her. As she opened the door, she wobbled slightly. In fact, she nearly collapsed into Hendrix's arms upon seeing him.
Hendrix quickly steadied her. Then, he shifted his gaze to the interior of the room. Though it was dimly lit, he could still make out the undulating curves of the bed's covers.
Without hesitation, Hendrix pushed Sandra aside and stepped inside.
"Rix-"
Sandra's words were cut off before she could finish. In the next moment, Hendrix swiftly yanked the covers aside. But to his surprise, the bed was empty, save for a lone pillow.
Hendrix would truly be a fool if he still didn't realize what was happening now. Still, a sliver of hope lingered in him. He locked his eyes onto Sandra. "Where's Noelle?"
"She... She has left," replied Sandra.
Hendrix frowned, and his face twisted into agrimace.
"She left with Brandon!" Sandra continued. "I heard they were getting along quite well, but I didn't expect them-
Hendrix cut her off, "Do you really think I can't access the hotel's security footage? What's the point of you lying
to me?"
At Hendrix's questioning, Sandra immediately found her voice caught in her throat.
"Let me ask you again. Where is Noelle?"
Hendrix didn't believe Sandra's story about Noelle leaving with Brandon, but he also knew that Noelle wasn't blameless in this situation, either. For one, she wasn't anywhere near Serene Street right now, nor had she answered any of his calls.
These signs could only point to one thing-Noelle and Sandra were working together. But why?noveldrama
Was this a test? Was Noelle trying to gauge his true feeling? Or was she trying to push him toward Sandra?
The last thought made Hendrix's expression darken even further. Without waiting for Sandra's response, turned sharply, preparing to leave. But Sandra rushed forward and wrapped her arms around his waist. he
"Don't go, Rix! Please, I beg of you. Don't leave me. Yes, I lied to you, but I had no choice! Maxwell wouldn't help me, and now. my mom's in the hospital. I really don't know who else to turn to.
"Rix, help me, please. I'll do anything-anything you ask if you'll just help me.
