[A2] Episode 18 – One Man Army

[A2] Episode 18 – One Man Army

After the cry of the battle horn, all sounds fell silent. Omar rushed his way to the front entrance of the rundown castle and saw a huge army of Mages, Knights, a Paladin, and a Head Knight standing tall in front of everyone. Standing directly behind the two was a flimsy white man carrying an enormous silver pole with a rectangular black flag. The flag had a green line coming from the right and spiraling toward the center.

This was the flag that belonged to the North-Eastern Alliance.

The army spanned all over the place. From above the mountains, around the terrain, and on the trees. With sheer numbers alone, the army looked unstoppable.

But with a grin and excitement building up, Omar hopped off the watch tower and stared at the short black Paladin making his way towards him. Unarmed and with a welcoming smile, he seemed as if he wasn't going to do anything bad like he wanted to negotiate.

Omar: [If it isn't the Paladin of Jime.]

The short man stopped walking when he got face to face with Omar. He kept his smile and his right hand grasping onto his blade's grip while it rested in its leather sheath.

Paladin Anderson: [Look, I'll call this off if you surrender.]

Omar chuckled. Disappointed, Anderson frolicked around a bit, looking at the monotone castle in front of him.

Paladin Anderson: [Is the dragon tamer around?]

Omar: [He went out.]

Anderson sighed and looked back at the Head Knight standing in front of the army. With a head nod, the Head Knight threw his hand in the air. Anderson turned back to Omar and smiled again.

Paladin Anderson: [Surrender now and temporarily hold your peace.]

Omar: [That wouldn't be very fun now, would it?]

With a silent nod, Anderson made his way back to the head knight and lost his smile.

Paladin Anderson: [He said no,]

The Head Knight covered from head to toe in some purple metallic armor swung his hand down then a light flare flew up into the sky. Everything was silent until the second the flare dimmed away.

Head Knight Lek: [CHAAAAAAARGEEEEE]

Every soldier ran straight towards the Hydra hide out screaming at the top of their lungs. Several mages shot out fire and ice balls heading right for Omar, and to all this, he stood tall with his dark blue fake tuxedo t-shirt.

Keeping his grin, Omar charged up a boost heading right into the crowd of knights. A black lightning made its way from his hair all the way down to his feet, having Anderson grow cautious and reach for his sword. The shaking of the ground and the obnoxiously loud cries from the knights made it hard for either of the two to focus.

Now ready to move, Omar took a step forward, and like lightning, left a loud boom behind. The crowd of knights that were once in front of him, were now spreading apart like bowling pins being struck by a ball. Amid all of this ruckus, Anderson pulled his sword out, and to no surprise, deflected Omar coming right for him with a dagger at light speed. For a fraction of a second, the two stared into one another's eyes with killer intent.

Omar was sent flying into the air with several sparks from his clash. Lek flinched back and looked at the vampire now floating in the air and reformed into a battle stance, gripping his sword and clenching his teeth. Anderson didn't turn back until a couple of seconds later.

In the sky, Omar felt a raging flame heading his way, heating up his skin the closer it got. He turned towards it and saw a fireball that was way too close for comfort. He didn't have the time to dodge and ended up getting hit, burning his fake tuxedo shirt and sending him flying into a crowd of knights. All the knights were prepared to attack him once he landed. They all had their blades pointing at him and following until he nearly landed.

Looking down at the crowd of knights, Omar frowned and fixed his posture. Heading straight for one of the knight's blades, he surprised every single one of them. By the time he got extremely close, the size of his body suddenly shrunk to a microscopic level. Freaked out, the knight Omar was about to collide with flinched back and frantically looked around as if he suspected Omar to have teleported. When Omar didn't appear for a moment, the knight looked at his comrade with confusion, but suddenly, a knee grew in size in front of his face, and his metal armor ended up being indented and stabbing him in the eye. Screaming in pain, Omar stole his sword and jabbed it right into his stomach.

A knight witnessed all this happen right before his eyes and immediately began to freak out.

Knight 6: [HE CAN SHRINK!]

He started running in the other direction, but Omar ended up piercing through his armor with his friend's sword. The knight fell straight towards the ground covered in blood.

Another three knights charged at Omar while several mages prepared a single magical wooden stake sharp enough to pierce the strongest armor off in the distance. Omar turned to the three charging for him and with black lightning zapping all around his body, Omar got into a battle stance. The central knight with his blade above his head, tried hitting Omar with an overhand swing, but with a single uppercut, the knight's blade went flying in the air. The knight to the right tried to swing his blade in, but once Omar caught note of this he grabbed the knight's wrist and redirected his swing, slicing the central knight's body in half.

The last knight coming in from the left tried to do the same thing, but Omar quickly released the right knight's wrist and clenched onto the left knight's arm, twisting it to the point it looked deformed and forcing him to release his sword. Now that he got him disarmed, Omar pulled the knight closer and punched him, indenting the knight's armor far enough to pierce into his stomach. He then used a controlled blast of wind to throw the knight into another crowd that was heading his way.

With the path cleared up, he noticed hints of magic energy coming from a mountain not too far from him. The mages had finished their wooden stake and were charging it up to move at the speed of sound. One of the mages that were covered head to toe in robes, opened their messaging interface and sent one to the head knight requesting they get the vampire to stop moving.

Lek read the message and turned to one of the snowy mountains on his left, where he built up a breath and shouted with all he had.

Head Knight Lek: [M-DIVISION 3! IT'S YOUR TURN!]

All the knights that were around Omar backed up and confused him. With his fangs sticking out and a dead soldier in his hands, he dropped him and began to look around. The only magic he could sense was above a mountain miles away from him.

Four different mages came out from hiding beneath snow above mountains at four different corners evenly spaced around Omar. From an aerial view, the four of them were making a perfect square.

Paladin Anderson: [NOWWWWW!]

Surprised, Omar tried dashing away, but a purple wall suddenly appeared in front of him, making him slam his nose against it and fall back in pain. Three more walls formed around him with a ceiling on top, trapping him in a light purple transparent box. Omar got back up and tried forcing his way out of the barrier, but no matter how much force he pushed out, the barrier wouldn't budge. However, every strike on the barrier would make one of the mages controlling it internally hurt. If it weren't for the healers standing beside them, the barrier would have been shattered from the first hit.

The ability, Cosmic Barrier is one that can only be performed by four mages of the same blood and skills. It captures and contains a single entity into a transparent barrier, restricting the entity from making much movement, or damage, and slowly draining its mana. Typically used by Spacial mages, Cosmic Barriers require a large mana supply and strong physical form. Damage done to the barrier is to be tanked by the wall caster. If the captured entity were to deal a deadly blow to the west wall, the caster of the west wall would die on the spot. It's a high-risk, minimal-reward type ability.

Mage 1: [THEY GOT HIM! READY, AIM,]

The mages containing the magic wooden stake changed their direction to be facing directly at Omar.

Mage 1: [FIRE!]

Like a rock being shot out of a slingshot, the stake darted at Omar at supersonic speeds, leaving behind hurricane-level winds and an ear-piercing sonic boom. The entire first magic division went deaf.

Noticing the enormous amount of magic coming from the mountain, Omar turned to them and saw a huge stake heading his way. Before he could react, the stake broke through the barrier like it was nothing, killing the two mages holding it up, and completely missing Omar by a millimeter. With his eyes wide open in fear, the battlefield fell silent.

There was a hole to the right of Omar that was several meters wide. Omar collapsed. He thought he was at death's door, but somehow the first mage division missed their target by a meter. Losing hope, the remaining mages and knights fell to the ground, cried, and some even ran away. With his teeth and fist clenched, Anderson tried his best not to lose hope.

Paladin Anderson: [That was our best chance to take him out.]

Releasing his fist and cooling himself off, he turned to the mages above the mountain with a dead-cold stare.

Paladin Anderson: [HOW THE FUCK DID YOU MISS?!]

They were deaf and crying on their knees, so they didn't even notice he was yelling at them.

Lek put his hand on Anderson's shoulder and looked at Omar.

Head Knight Lek: [This is our best shot.]

Anderson looked at Omar and nodded. Pulling out his blade, Lek ran towards Omar in a desperate attempt to stab his heart. Just as he got close, Omar disappeared the moment the blade made contact with his back and a bat was all that remained. Staring at the flying mammal, he watched as it flew into the sky, and suddenly – behind him appeared Omar with a long black sword in his hand.

Quickly, Lek raised his sword and deflected the vampire's swing. Omar quickly swung his sword several more times, each swing leaving bright sparks in the sky with every clash it made onto Lek's blade. They both seemed to have been keeping up with one another and were incapable of landing a single fatal blow. Omar got through Lek several times, but his amethyst-coated armor protected him from receiving any real damage. Noticing that Omar's sword skills were superior to his, he quickly retreated, hopping back after being struck by another one of Omar's attacks.

The sparks that had gone into the night sky remained in place. Having stepped back, Lek let his arm out, commanding the sparks in the sky to move forward and go straight for Omar. He didn't know it at first, but after the first sting of what felt like burning metal, he realized that a lot of those sparks could deal a lot of damage. With his sword, he cut away every single spark while moving closer to Lek with every swing. Though he was getting the sparks away from him, each cut was duplicating them and causing more of a hassle. More sparks filled the sky, calling for more insanely hot metals to come flying his way. By the time the sparks had more than tripled, Omar made his way to Lek and nearly cut his head clean off.

Before Omar's blade could touch Lek, another sword, one with a red-orange streak running through the center, blocked his attack and surprised him. The sparks fell to the floor and lost their glow.

Omar: [Why are you interrupting?]

Anderson pulled his sword back and asked Lek if he was alright.

Paladin Anderson: [As the Paladin of Jime, I can't allow you to kill any more of my men. And as the flame Paladin, I can't allow someone like you to leave here alive.]

Omar laughed.

Head Knight Lek: [I don't know how, but his power is... unlike anything I've ever seen before.]

Paladin Anderson: [That's a demon lord general for you.]

Anderson's blade set ablaze a majestic red-orange flame that ignited from the streak of the same color. The flame was hot enough to melt the snow around them in about a three feet diameter.

Paladin Anderson: [I'm going to ask you this one last time.]

Getting into a battle stance and darting his murderous glare at Omar, he continued coldly.

Anderson: [Surrender now and temporarily hold your peace.]

Omar: [Bring it on.]

A gentle breeze blew on Anderson's sword, engulfing the entire blade in a majestic flame.

Pointing his sword forward, the flames on the blade roared outward and in the form of a dragon head and flew directly at Omar. Smirking once again, he moved forward and shrunk himself to the point that the heat from the flame couldn't reach him. At a microscopic height, Omar ran his way to Anderson while pushing the tall grasses out of his way.

Anderson had no idea where Omar went, but he kept his flame out just in case he were to randomly pop out. As always, he kept his guard up. If anything were to happen, he'd be ready for it. Omar sprang himself off a leaf blade and was sent over several feet above the ground. Changing back to his normal size, he clung onto Anderson's back and prepared his sharp teeth. He couldn't find any open slots in Anderson's armor, so rather than quickly taking a bite at his neck, he attempted to rip off Anderson's helmet but was lifted off and slammed onto the ground. Showing no pain, Omar launched himself back on his feet and stared at the flame Paladin.

With a sudden rise of his head, Anderson disappeared with the wind and less than a second later, a male human figure made of nothing but pure flames appeared behind Omar with a fist in the air. Unable to react fast enough, the figure punched Omar in the gut, sending him flying several feet back. Just as Omar regained posture, Anderson reappeared in his face with his sword being swung towards Omar's neck, giving him just enough time to pull his sword out of his inventory. Though he saved himself, the recoil on his arms was severe. Now with numb arms, he could hardly hold onto his sword, but he hoped the same happened to Anderson.

After sliding back, he noticed the flame figure running his way beside Anderson. Barely capable of holding his weapon, he charged at them. He first clashed with Anderson and kicked his holy sword out of his hands, leaving him empty-handed. This was a form of closure for Omar. As he threw his own sword on the ground the flame angel tried landing another punch. Unarmed, he pushed the figure's arm away and prepared for Anderson. Omar grabbed Anderson's arm and threw him right at the figure, ran at them with a fist in the air, and landed a devastating punch on Anderson's eye.

While Anderson focused on the cut beneath his eye, Omar ran to a living knight and ripped his helmet off. With his fangs, Omar dug his teeth into the knight's vein and began draining his blood. It wasn't until Anderson noticed that the knight was as thin as bone and Omar finished his snack. Now completely healed and feeling fresh, Omar took another sword out of his inventory and swung it around.

Paladin Anderson: [WHAT'S WRONG WITH ALL OF YOU?!]

The remaining knights and mages stood up and looked toward their Paladin as he spoke to all of them. Confused, Omar looked around at the battlefield as the soldiers stood up.

Paladin Anderson: [TO BE ON YOUR KNEES AFTER THE FAILURE OF ONE STRATEGY, MAKES YOU LOOK LIKE COWARDS!]

The soldiers that had been crying wiped off their tears and stared at Anderson with confidence.

Lek walked towards Anderson and stood beside him.

Head Knight Lek: [If your kingdom were watching you give up, how would they feel?! Your family! Your friends! You're letting them down!]

All the soldiers grabbed their weapons and built up their confidence, it seemed like the head knight's message was working.

Lek: [Remember who you are! Remember why you're here! Don't let this pathetic excuse of an enemy stop you from what's really important!]

The soldier's sadness was beginning to become overshadowed by their sheer excitement, but as a green magic circle releasing odd runes formed behind Omar, they knew that victory was theirs.

??? screaming from the magic portal: [We came here to take out Hydra,]

A big aquatic sphere three times the size of a normal human, flew through the magic circle and hit Omar on the back like a bowling ball, sending him crashing into the mountain. Moments after, the mouth of an enormous blue whale peeked out and slowly revealed the entire body with two male figures standing on the top.

Paladin OJ: [If we can't take out one of them, how are we supposed to keep the peace?!]

Head Knight Anthony: [Seems like our short pitstop sacrificed the lives of dozens.]

Anderson: [OJ! Anthony!]

The two of them smirked as the flying blue whale rose above the army and several thousand more magic circles opened around the battlefield.

Paladin OJ: [THE KINGDOM OF AVEAY JOINED THE BATTLE!]

Through the portals, hundreds of soldiers - Knights, Mages, Magi-knights, Orcs, Elves, and other fantasy creatures walked through each individual portal. Each of them wore full heavy metal gear, carrying metallic weapons that closely resembled military-grade firearms from the United States but with their own magical twist. The entire army of Jime shouted in joy as they gathered together equally and in unison.

OJ jumped off the whale and fell beside Anderson while leaving a gentle cold breeze as he safely landed.

Paladin OJ: [So, what's the current status?]

Paladin Anderson: [Why did it take so long for you guys to show up? We almost lost!]

Paladin OJ: [Devon told us to think strategically before running into battle. We did our research on them and came when we were prepared.]

Head Knight Lek: [You could've come a lot sooner!]

OJ: [Sorry for having an army that doesn't rely on brute strength.]

From above Anthony dropped OJ one of the blasters that the other soldiers had.

Recovering from the crash, Omar stared down at the enormous bundle of soldiers piled up on the ground beneath him. The Northeastern Alliance army was now more than quadrupled in numbers, and it was beginning to frighten him. Several of the knocked-out mages and knights from Jime were being revived by Aveay medics and those that died were transferred instantly by portal to the 'Jime Honorable Graveyard', where they were given a proper burial.

Anderson turned to Omar and smirked with his newfound confidence. Any doubt he had before had completely gone, and as things were, he knew it was a guaranteed victory.

Paladin Anderson: [I'm going to say this one last time!]

Igniting his sword and having three new angels rise from the ground, he continued.

Paladin Anderson: [Surrender now, and temporarily hold your peace!]

Looking down at the unbelievable amount of soldiers, Omar hopelessly made a fist. As he nearly raised both his hands above his head, he heard the maniacal laugh of someone he knew coming from a hill. Looking over yonder he saw four silhouettes making their way towards them – two male and two female, Omar grew more nervous.

Vijan: [You aren't going to give up that easily, are you?!]

Hearing his voice made Omar drop his hands and chuckle.

Vijan: [If you do, you might as well call me master!]

Every single soldier and Paladin turned toward the voice, and several hundred soldiers stepped back in fear. Concerned, Anthony opened his interface and sent a message to Zack.

Two silhouettes grew demonic red and black wings and grabbed a hold of the other two. Flying them over the army and towards Omar, everyone got a good look at what was coming. Softly placing the two down, those with wings put them away and looked down at the army. Heirloom grinned maniacally at the sight.

Heirloom: [Looks like we came just... in... time.]

Standing on the mountainside was team Hydra, including the recent addition of Erma and the princess without her wig. Surprised to see her, Lek clenched his teeth and turned to Anderson.

Paladin Anderson: [I know. I thought she was dead too.]

Head Knight Lek: [We need to save her sister!]

Anderson: [What do you think our job is?]

Heirloom: [I'm sure we got their attention.]

Omar: [Why did you guys show up? I could've–!]

Vijan: [You were on the verge of giving up. If you do, all our efforts would have been for nothing.]

With a small groan, Omar chuckled.

Vijan: [Besides! If you were to die, I'd be the strongest in the team!]

Erma: [I'm pretty sure that title would go to Heirloom...]

Erma nervously pitched her opinion, getting confused looks from everyone else.

Vijan: [That's cool and all, but no one asked. Besides, who are you?]

Heirloom: [Let's keep the introductions short. Guys, that girl is Erma. Yes, the dragon. Don't ask any further questions.]

Omar: [This fragile girl is the big lizard? Really makes you think.]

Vijan remained confused as Heirloom chuckled.

Heirloom: [Let's just say my lips are no longer virgins.]

Vijan: [You let a dragon clap your cheeks?! Bro! That's beastiality!]

Heirloom: [NO I DIDN'T FUCK A DRAGON! DUMBASS!]

Vijan: [I'M NOT A DUMBASS YOU–!]

Ruby started to giggle which stopped them from arguing. Embarrassed, Vijan turned his cheek.

Ruby: [I can't believe you two! We're in the middle of a war!]

The Northeastern Alliance was surprised to see Ruby enjoying herself. Heirloom and Vijan started nervously chuckling.

Ruby: [Why don't we finish this and talk about what happened when everything's peaceful, alright?]

Heirloom: [Fine, I'll fill you all in afterward.] A gentle breeze passed by making the hair and clothes of the hydra crew flow.

The battlefield fell silent.

-

Sitting in front of William's grave at the Leviere royal graveyard, Zack received an urgent message from one of the other kingdom head knights. With an alarm and a sudden pop-up, Zack looked at it with no reaction. The graveyard was as silent until now, a gentle breeze and tumbleweeds being the only audible sounds.

Reading through the long message that seemed to also have been sent to the king, Zack was shocked and immediately headed straight for the castle.

Waiting for him at the back door was the long-eared queen worried for whatever reason. Zack almost never saw her like this and grew ever more curious about the king's position. Her blue eyes glistened and her lips tightened. The queen moved out of Zack's way and watched as he ran to her bedroom.

Gently pushing the door open and peeking inside, Zack saw the king sitting in bed with his fingers in his hair and palms covering his eyes. He had his interface open and the emergence alarm was playing. There was no doubt that he read the message, and there is no doubt that he was reacting to it.

It didn't take long for the door to squeak and for the king to shout out the queen's name. Walking up behind him, the queen opened the door and walked in. Standing behind her, Zack decided to follow.

King Didus: [Oh, hello Zack. I assume you saw the message too.]

Zack: [Yeah. I came to see if you had any plans–,]

King Didus: [We're going to assist them in battle. The alliance made a move without notifying all parties. We could easily not join them, which was the plan, but now that they sent an emergency message–]

He took a large breath as his elf wife sat by his side.

King Didus: [We have no other option but to get involved.]

Queen Nefrai: [He's been like this since Hydra's Ninja came to the kingdom.]

Zack: [His majesty doesn't want to get involved with any other issue but the demon lord, but the existence of Hydra made this moment inevitable.]

King Didus: [Get the Royal Knights ready. Also, since you've made up with the sorceress, take her to the battle.]

Zack: [Your Highness, I'm sorry. I can't get her involved with this.]

The king stood up and walked over to his balcony. With his hands folded behind him and eyes up at the sky, she sighed.

Zack: [I'll get the soldiers.]

With his hands on his weapon, Zack walked out of the king's bedroom and walked towards his office as he equipped his heavy armor. Opening his message interface, he replied to the Head Knight saying:

"We're on our way."

Bursting open a door and looking at two individuals wearing identical pink t-shirts, Zack cleared his throat. One of the two in the room was a man. He was reading a book before Zack came into the room and stared at him like a nuisance. His casual attire and black spectacles gave him the appearance of a young genius, paired with his light brown skin tone and slim yet somewhat muscular form, he looked like he was on his way to speak with the professor after a long day at the gym. Sitting across the room with her inventory open was a woman of the same height. She had long black hair that reached beneath her waist, narrow dark brown eyes, and a flat body.

The two of them looked at Zack as he stared back. The girl had her finger playing with a strand of her hair while the male took off his glasses and tucked them into a pant pocket.

Paladin Zack: [Sophia, Ali... your time has come.]

With a sigh, the male stood up and walked by Zack and out the door. While doing so, he replied

Royal Knight Ali: [About damn time. I'll be at the graveyard. Meet me there when you're ready.]

The girl rolled her eyes once he left the room.

Royal Knight Sophia: [The demon lord came and you're going to pray before fighting?]

After listening to her and lowering his head, he vanished instantly.

Paladin Zack: [It's not actually the demon lord. The Northeastern Alliance is picking a fight with Hydra as we speak.]

Royal Knight Sophia: [Are they at war?]

Zack nodded as Sophia reached for a lollipop on the table ahead of her. She exhaled while unwrapping the silver lollipop.

Royal Knight Sophia: [Of course.]

She stuck the lollipop in her mouth.

Paladin Zack: [The king doesn't want to lower his soldier count, so he's sending us.]

Royal Knight Sophia: [Isn't he the same guy that had twenty soldiers slaughtered by Vijan? What an idiot.]

Paladin Zack: [I tried telling him to just send everyone, but being the dunce that he is, he wouldn't listen.]

Sophia: [That's because you're too kind. You know, if I were chosen as Paladin and head knight, this wouldn't have happened.]

She walked up to Zack's ear and whispered:

Sophia: [You're terrible at your job.]

Zack: [We had a fair fight and I won. I scored higher on the tests and got the fastest time on the hardest difficulty in the rescue mission. No matter how you look at it, I'm the better candidate.]

Zack looked Sophia in the eye like a bald eagle staring at its prey.

They heard a shuffle at the door behind them and reacting impulsively, Sophia ran for the sound. Trying to stop her, Zack called out her name but got no reaction. When she ran passed she saw the body of a young man running in the opposite direction and a small sliver of long light blue hair flowing in front of him as it passed by a wall.

Royal Knight Sophia: [Stop!]

She continued to chase after them as Zack sighed.

Turning the corner, she saw the two opening the castle door and discreetly running into the courtyard where they saw several magi-knights practicing their Kanzaki stance. Somehow managing to blend in, Sophia lost sight of them once she exited the castle. Looking around she noticed the princess and called her. Hilda noticeably flinched and commanded another to run ahead as she turned to the knight. As she slowly walked her way to Sophia, Hilda was buying time for the other person to escape, however just before he could leave the courtyard, Sophia noticed him and ran for him gently passing by Hilda.

Walking on the outskirts of the castle, Sean, Parker, and Faith were on their way to a guild mission that promised them enough to buy a home. They had changed into completely different clothes and even found the time to buy Faith some gear after not having worn anything new since they arrived. Taking durability and defense into account, Sean bought her a long-sleeved dark purple shirt that had a white collar that went over her shoulders and breasts. The dress came with a pair of lighter gloves that covered her palms and left her fingers and thumbs open. Her pants were of the same color as the shirt and almost looked as if they were part of a long dress. They reached to her heels. The shirt and pants were held together with a leather belt that had a diamond-shaped connector. Underneath the belt were two long silk clothes that reached the bottom of her leather heels and flowed with the wind like a strand of hair.

To make a noticeable distinction between Faith and Princess Hilda, Parker suggested that she got her hair dyed. The white highlights that were once at the bottom of her hair were moved and positioned above her head. Rather than it being a surface of white, the hair designer made it a single streak like a highlight. It went over her shoulder and contrasted pretty well.

Though she didn't like it, she looked elegant and wasn't a bag of crap anymore. She didn't smell unpleasant and began to act like an actual woman. It didn't take long for Parker and Sean to forget that she was once a black man.

While passing by the castle gate, the young prince bumped into Parker and immediately looked at Faith like she was a source of light in the dark.

Prince Alex: [Sorceress?]

Faith looked at herself then looked back at the prince.

Parker: [What are you doing outside the castle? Shouldn't you be preparing for the war with the demon lord?]

The sound of rustling armor came from the courtyard gate and walking towards the four was Sophia in a complete set of armor. Her face and figure were completely covered in light pink armor so the three couldn't tell who that was. Assuming it was a high knight, they straightened themselves.

Royal Knight Sophia: [Your Highness, please keep everything you heard to yourself.]

Prince Alex: [You mean about going to war with Hydra? Yeah, sorry. That's not possible.]

Faith: [War with Hydra? Was this Zack's decision?]

Royal Knight Sophia: [You don't understand the full story, so don't go around spreading rumors!]

She grabbed Alex by the arm and pulled him towards the courtyard gate.

Royal Knight Sophia: [You three, forget we ever bumped into you. The prince is full of shit.]

She closed the courtyard gate once she pushed Alex in. The second the doors closed, the three stood blank.

Parker: [What just happened?]

Sean: [What do you mean? You suddenly stopped moving. Did something happen?]

Faith: [Maybe he was stunned by my beauty.]

As she flicked her hair back with a laugh, Sean started laughing and Parker joined in later.

Sean: [Let's get to that mission location.]

Like Alex never ran through the gate, the three of them casually walked away.

-

Zack and Sophia made it to the graveyard where they met up with Ali. He was standing beside a tombstone that read: "Kulow". With his hands in his pockets and facial expression as calm as can be, Ali nodded as the two walked his way.

Paladin Zack: [Let me say my prayers before we leave.]

Zack pulled out his inventory and threw several dozen bottles towards Ali that were filled with a blue liquid. Catching them before they could hit the floor, Ali stashed them in his inventory and Zack prayed at the tombstone.

Royal Knight Ali: [Are you gonna pray?]

Sighing, Sophia stood beside Zack and clasped her hands together as she closed her eyes.

Paladin Zack: [Please take care of them in the afterlife.]

The tombstone emitted a dimmed yellow light for a small second.

Royal Knight Ali: [Alright, I'll teleport us.]

Sophia put her hands on her waist and narrowed her eyes.

Royal Knight Sophia: [You know where the Hydra hideout is?]

Royal Knight Ali: [Hydra? The dragon?]

Paladin Zack: [We're helping the other kingdoms fight against the heinous group of three people.]

Royal Knight Ali: [Three people?! Three people against three entire kingdoms? Is the king high?]

Paladin Zack: [Aveay sent out the message that they couldn't handle it. We're reserving our soldiers and just taking the three of us. Just take us to the late Roshan's castle.]

Royal Knight Ali: [Alright. Let's go.]

Placing his hands on both their shoulders, the three of them vanished into thin air.

Suddenly appearing in front of the other Paladins, Zack, Sophia, and Ali equipped themselves in their heavy armor. Standing on top of the mountain, Hydra stared down at the army as a cold breeze blew by them. Omar frowned at the sight of Ali and Sophia was surprised to see Ruby standing with them.

Heirloom started cackling as the army grew more cautious. Throwing his hand in the air with a sheet of paper that had a stain of his blood, a pearly-white magic circle appeared above him and the screech of the hydra played.

Heirloom: [The war has blossomed.]
