[A1] Chapter 11 – Making Arrangements

[A1] Chapter 11 – Making Arrangements

Parker and Sean eventually made their way outside of the Kingdom of Leviere after spending a day in a horse-drawn carriage. Their long trip came to an end in the middle of a forest once night began to fall. Sean paid the human lizard that was their ride and watched as he ran off back towards the direction he came from. Once he was out of sight, Parker sighed and stared up at the starry sky.

Sean: [We can't afford to stand around. We should get going and set up camp outside of a forest.]

Parker: [I think we should set up camp. We've been walking for forever.]

Sean disappointed: [Fine, I'll find us a spot. You gather wood and some supplies.]

Parker nodded and bravely walked into a bundle of trees.

Sean headed in the opposite direction from which they came. He thought that if he was going to find a solid spot, it would be where he hasn't been yet. Along the way, Sean came across a pile of sticks bundled on the side of the path. Someone had already been there, and judging by the novice work done, he assumed it was Felix. Sean turned around and headed back to where he split from Parker, and surprisingly saw Parker standing with his hands empty.

Parker: [Did you find a spot?]

Sean disappointed: [Looks like I was the only one putting in any effort.]

Parker tilted his head.

Parker: [What are you talking about? I stacked my inventory.]

Parker opened his inventory and turned it in Sean's direction, completely forgetting that only he was able to see his inventory. The two stood there awkwardly until Sean broke the ice and walked towards the camp spot.

Once they arrived, Parker opened his inventory and threw out a fraction of the twigs he gathered at the burnt-out campfire. Sean had pulled his wand out and was waiting for Parker's queue. Once a thumb was raised, Sean pointed his wand at the pile of sticks and began to cast a spell.

Sean: [Quả cầu lửa!]

A tiny sphere the size of a gumball appeared at the tip of Sean's wand. The ball shot into the pile of sticks, setting every single twig ablaze and creating a small campfire.

Parker groaning: [Magic is so convenient.]

He sat beside the fire and pulled out a slice of cooked meat wrapped in some aluminum foil-like wrapper. He bit into it like a burrito as Sean sat on the opposite end of the fire. He watched Parker eat while thinking about why he decided to tag along. That was until his stomach suddenly growled and notifications appeared in his peripherals.

Sean: [Yo, you got more on you?]

Parker lowered his food and opened his inventory with a full mouth. He managed to whip out another cooked meat and handed it to Sean, which kindly thanked him.

A horse-drawn carriage drove past them as they gobbled up the small dinner. They looked like homeless men. Their apparel was identical to those of someone that lives in the slums, their camp was nothing short of mediocre, and the way they were eating made them look like barbarians. Slightly embarrassed, Sean put the aluminum-covered meat on the ground and sighed. He laid his head down on the ground and closed his eyes.

Sean: [I'm gonna get some rest. Let's try to save game, if that even exists.]

Parker turned to him with his mouth full.

Parker: [You think respawn is on?]

Sean: [Of course not, but what's the harm in trying?]

He shuffled around the floor. Now finished with his cooked meat, Parker laid his back on the floor and gazed up at the starry sky. Though it's been a few days, Parker hasn't once thought about what or who brought him and his friends to this world, but all of a sudden thoughts began to pile up in his head.

Parker: [I wonder what happens in this world when we die. Do you think there's an afterlife?]

Sean: [I'd rather not think about it.]

Parker: [I mean, I haven't seen any sign of religion or god yet. There's a good chance that we do respawn.]

Sean: [Wouldn't that mean there is a god?]

Parker: [That's a good point.]

The two continued to rest on their backs as the single moon began to rise.

Parker: [Do you think that Ismail and Andy could've died? If there's no sign of them around here, there's a chance that they're no longer with us.]

Sean: [Knock on wood, dude.]

Parker: [Would that superstition exist in this world?]

Sean: [Shut up and go to bed!]

He grew irritated from the stress and confusion he was getting and slammed his head against the rough and cold grass beneath him.

Parker groaning: [Fuck.]

His head began to ache as a result. Parker wrestled with his forehead in an attempt to soothe the aching, but it wasn't working. After a moment of mumbling to himself, he passed out. Next thing he knew, the two suns rose; clearing out the darkness and bringing forth tons of light. Though his head still ached, Parker stood up and noticed Sean finishing up the cooked meat from the night.

Sean mouthful: [Are you ready to keep going?]

Parker let out a silent sigh and nodded his head. Sean stood up and continued to follow the path they were on before the break.

Parker: [Sean. Do you think Felix got far? Maybe he died out here on his own.]

The wizard stopped in his tracks to answer his friend.

Sean: [We've been walking for a whole day. There's no point in turning back now. While you were asleep, a merchant told me that there's a city near here called Jime. As long as we follow the path, we'll be there in no time.]

Parker stood up and followed after Sean. The campfire they made seemed to have burnt out, creating easy space for any newcomers.

-

Within the kingdom of Jime, there was a tavern not too far from the entrance gates. The place went by the name 'Orch Dorch' and was well known in the capital city, however not for its beverages. Though the tavern sold some exclusive and delectable beverages, it was the owner of the place that made people return time and time again.

Standing behind the counter with a dirty mug in hand and a red bandana over his eyes, was a young man humming a melodic tune quite well known to the citizens of Jime. This young man was William Chen. A couple of citizens sat in his tavern enjoying their beverages while reading the newspaper, while others stared at him.

The day started off like any other, apart from the moment an unknown person opened the doors to the tavern. Its silhouette resembled that of a rogue assassin stopping by for a meeting with a client, or a wandering traveler seeking information on the kingdom. As the figure continued to take light footsteps forward, the tavern grew more dense.

William let out a sigh and put his happy mood to an end.

William disappointed: [I told you to learn how to hide your aura!]

???: [I tried!]

The familiar high female voice cried.

???: [Whatever you had me do last night did this to me!]

As the figure approached the counter, its identity became clear. It was Faith, William's new disciple, whining with her head facing the ceiling.

William: [You obviously didn't try hard enough.]

William put the mug down and pressed both of his palms against the counter table.

William: [Your mana is going all over the place. You're scaring my customers!]

To everyone other than Faith, a large, dark, and menacing aura was surrounding her like an enormous flame. Though she couldn't see it, a warning laid in her peripherals telling her about her mana going low. She could feel it eating at her stamina.

Faith whining: [Help meeeee! I don't know what I'm doing wrongggggg!]

William: [I'm working, you idiot!]

She let out a little groan as she rested her sorry head on the table.

William: [I'll meet you at the library in about two hours. In the meantime, try to keep your mana at a stable rate. If it gets too low, you're spending your own money on potions.]

Disappointed, Faith walked out of the tavern and started off into the distance.

Faith: [What am I supposed to do for two hours?]

She noticed that people were keeping their distance from her and looking at her with a hint of fear. It began to bother her when she felt the same level of fear she - or he would receive back in the normal world. Once again feared for a feature they can't control. Unlike the others and hated for a stereotype.

Her heart aches when she has these thoughts, instinctively pushing her to run back home and hide under her blanket... but she doesn't have that opportunity anymore. There was no home to run to, and no blanket to hide under. It was her against the world.

Faith waltzed her way to the library on a quest for knowledge. If there is a reason for the fear revolving around sorcerers, then it has to be recorded in some text.

Even though it wasn't her first time coming to the library, the very sight of the gold roof peering over the houses made her awe. The library looked like a U.S. capitol building, with a rounded top and extremely long shoulders. There were pillars made of silver stone all over the front of the building and large white doors in the center of it all. Around the library was a garden, though not large, still better than she could afford.

The library was easily one of the largest buildings in the capital of Jime, second only to the king's castle which was pretty far from it.

Once Faith made it to the library, the aura around her happened to suddenly disappear. Maybe it was the excitement of going into the library, or the determination to get something done, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it. Like none of it ever happened, she walked into the library and completely forgot her adjective.

She walked over to the magic section so that she could look into sorcery a bit more, but while walking around she came across an interesting book. It was pale, nearly white. There was no cover, no title, or even an author. The book stood out in between a line of dark-colored books with more appealing cover art, but this one caught Faith's attention.

She picked it up and made her way to a set of tables not too far from the shelves. Laying the book on the table made her feel like she was going to regret ever picking the book up. She stared at it, not making a sound or taking a step. Standing behind her chair with her finger wrapped around her chin.

Librarian: [I've met many magicians, but not once have any of them been able to read a book without opening it.]

Faith turned to see a smiling bald man in a witch's robe standing behind her. They both let out a small laugh.

Faith: [Do you know anything about this book?]

Confused, the librarian looked over Faith's shoulder and saw the pale book sitting there.

Librarian: [I do, actually. It's a book that teaches you all about the history of magic. Unlike the many other books here, this one does the best job of explaining things.]

Faith confused: [Simpler than a children's book?]

The librarian nodded.

Faith: [How in-depth does it go?]

Librarian: [Buy it to find out.]

Faith dropped her head as the librarian giggled to himself.

Librarian: [It'll be twenty-five silver coins.]

Faith in her head: [Twenty-five?!]

She pulled out a patch full of silver coins and handed it to the bald man behind her.

Faith: [You'll run me dry, Mr. Gile.]

The book in front of Faith opened to the first page, and all of a sudden a stamp appeared.

Gile: [I'm just doing my job. Enjoy!]

He walked away from Faith with his hands behind his back and the patch dangling from his wrist. Faith turned back to the open book and sat down.

Turning the first page felt like she was about to uncover the mysteries behind how she ended up in the world. Her head flooded with ambition and excitement, only to be let down from the first two pages.

BOUND - ARIES

That was it. In a large font size and monochromatic, one word was printed onto the pages by a person.

To be fair, someone wouldn't be excited to read a book with no appeal, but the price tag set on it had to mean it was pretty special. Typically a book would cost around five or eight silver coins, classifying this one as expensive.

Though the result was anticlimactic, Faith decided to keep on reading.

The real first page read:

"This world isn't what it looks to be."

Faith's attention began to doze off onto an image painted onto the side of the single page like a newspaper excerpt. It was an image of a planet covered in water, with specs of green land plastered around it like splashes of paint. Areas of the water appeared darker than others, and some specs of land were much larger than what surrounded them. A spec of green laying northeast of the planet was especially larger than the others.

Interested in what that could be, Faith turned back to the text.

"Tietus, the world we've grown to love, has not always been the way that it is. This chapter doesn't revolve around the concept of the evolution of humans. No, rather the evolution of Magic."

Enjoying the story? Show your support by reading it on the official site.

Faith with a chuckle: [Bruh. The devs know that casual gamers don't read long text in games. They probably hid all the important information in here.]

She skipped a few pages of the introduction and found herself on another empty page with the word Magic printed just like Boundaries.

"Millenniums ago, magic wasn't as restricted as it is today. There were no restrictions, any person could use it freely! As long as they had bonded with the fairies, establishing control over their magic was as easy as waving a hand. Several journals belonging to philosophers document the existence of people that possess such power.

The tale of the Dark Mage is derived from these journals. Roosevelt Einclad was the first to document the story of Elliott Bengt, the first-ever Mage. According to Einclad, Elliott Bengt claims that he was suddenly capable of emitting flames from his hands after asking politely. One day Elliott was in his room after returning from a camping trip, and politely asked to be capable of making similar flames to the one at the camp. After a single wish, a flame bright enough to fill an entire room with light appeared above his palm, and went away when he made a fist."

Faith in her head: [Unrestricted magic and fairies giving humans powers. If magical entities existed for so long, how come this is the first time humans tried using their power?]

Replica: [Elliott Bengt isn't the first magic user. He's just the first to be documented.]

Faith suddenly appeared in her consciousness. She stood in front of her look-alike with a dull glare.

Replica: [Unlike the others, Elliott sought power and fame. Using his magic he would kill and manipulate others to get what he wanted.]

Faith: [The fairies that helped him had to give him permission to use their power, didn't they?]

Replica: [Normally, that would be the case. Elliott, however, was not your average human. He was more diabolical - smarter than any other.]

Faith worried: [I get the feeling he became a bad guy.]

Replica groveled and pushed Faith back into the real world. Caught by surprise, she looked around the library to see if anyone saw her suddenly vanish. No one paid her any attention and kept on with their business.

Thanks to Replica, Faith got the idea that she already knew everything and skipped to the next chapter. However, before she could continue reading she received a notification on the left of her peripherals. An image of a chat bubble with William's face appeared and caught her attention. She focused her vision on it and watched as it expanded.

William's message: [Look's like I won't make it in time. Can you run me a few errands outside the city?]

An additional bubble appeared below William's message. It read:

Side Quest:

Gather items and deliver them to William.

Faith accepted the quest and closed her interface. She slid the book into her inventory and walked out of the library without another word. Just as she left, her massive aura reappeared; this time more menacing than the last. She chose to ignore it and went on with a little ache in her heart.

-

Parker and Sean had made their way to the kingdom of Penn in search of Felix, as this was her last known location. They were both standing at the gate, behind some caution tape put up by a nearby kingdom. It seemed that whatever happened on the other side of the wall, was blocked off by some impenetrable and invisible wall.

Sean: [Doesn't look like he's here.]

Sean sighed and sat down with his back against the kingdom gate.

Parker: [The rumors about this place were true... It was taken down to the ground.]

Sean: [Not our problem. Right now our only concern is finding Felix. After that, we go looking for Ismail and Andy. Maybe after that, we can worry about the world around us.]

Parker: [Not a very street-smart plan, huh?]

Sean grumbled to himself.

Parker: [We don't have time to rest. We have to find him before sundown.]

[Sean: Our half-witted voyage continues.]

Sean stood up and continued walking on the path toward Jime. There was no hint of joy in his tiresome expression. Parker, however, followed after Sean with a smirk on his face.

Sunrise quickly turned to sunset as the two traveled through villages and forests on their journey to find their "lost" friend. They purchased horse-drawn carriages from a village near the torn-down Penn to travel from town-to-town at a quicker pace. They fell asleep in the back of the carriage. For its low price, the texture was quite luxurious - compared to their campfire that is. The horse moved fairly quickly, and there were hardly any hard bumps on the road.

Parker woke up and noticed the setting sun, as well as the carriage driver standing in front of the exit with a warm smile.

Parker: [Are we there yet?]

Sean woke up to the sound of Parker's voice. The driver remained standing with his arms crossed and a warm smile that gave Sean bad vibes.

Sean tired: [He just wants his money.]

With his eyes half open, Sean opened the driver's chat log and selected the option "Pay Driver." Another interface appeared in front of him, this time rectangular.

It read:

"Insufficient Funds! Required amount - 32 Silver

Amount in Pocket - 5 Silver"

Sean looked up at the driver with a poker face mixed with an awkward smirk.

Sean: [We're broke.]

Just like that, they were teleported out of the carriage and were forced to watch it zoom off like a mini cutscene.

Parker: [Great! Another fucking night in the outdoors.]

Sean walked passed him and headed for the woods off the path.

Parker: [We were supposed to find him by now!]

Sean: [Rather than complaining, help me get supplies and make another camp.]

Parker followed after and the two walked side by side.

The woods felt more like a plain with trees placed every now and then. The grass was fairly tall, scrapping their ankle bones with every step. It also had an odd shade of green. Due to the moonlight, the grass was glowing a hue of green that looked a little blue. The area was fairly empty but got extremely dark when both the suns set and the moon rose.

Ever since they entered the woods, Sean had an ominous feeling that something menacing was walking about. He knew that the monsters got crazier at night, but this was a totally different feeling. There were no monsters roaming the empty woods. He grew suspicious but kept to himself.

Parker and Sean gathered any twigs they could find beneath the scarce amount of trees, which didn't end up being a lot. When they received as much as they needed, they decided to head back to the path. Parker looked at the plain with his hands empty and a concerned glare.

Sean: [What's up?]

He rose from picking up the last twig and looked in Parker's direction.

Parker worried: [I get the feeling something is watching us.]

Sean carelessly: [If it's that creepy shit in the air, I've been sensing it since we got here.]

Parker watched Sean walk ahead of him with his hands wrapped behind his head.

Sean: [Hasn't disturbed us yet, so let's just go about our day.]

Just as Parker took a step forward, a large explosion came from behind him, scaring him to the point that his heart stopped for a moment. Following the explosion was a series of trees crashing to the ground, and the body of an extremely thin pale girl sliding in between Parker and Sean.

The two of them stared at her and the trail of dirt she created. She had long blonde hair, albino-like skin, and was thinner than any person they have ever seen. She was wearing a white and pink top that reached just above her belly button, and a long silk cloth that went down to the bottom of her knees. The cloth had a symbol right printed around her belly button that looked like a cursive "U" with strange lines underneath every curve. The same symbol was tattooed onto the back of her right palm.

Seconds after the unconscious body flew its way to them, Sean darted in the opposite direction. Surprised, Parker flinched before trying to run away. As he tried running to Sean, he suddenly became incapable of controlling his own body. He froze mid-animation, and all he could do was look around. Sean had already disappeared from sight and left Parker alone.

Parker in his head: [HOLY FUCKING SHIT! I'M GOING TO DIE!]

A deep feminine laugh started playing from behind him, and the menacing aura he felt was growing stronger.

Parker: [MOM! DAD! I'M SO SORRY!]

A tear formed in his eyes and began to stream down his inanimate body. His body was frozen in fear, yet his heart continued to beat like a drum.

???: [Where did you think you're going?]

The voice was right behind him. Though it was a little familiar, he couldn't think over his beating heart.

???: [Thought you could get away, huh?]

From the corners of his eyes, he could see the person walking by his shoulder with their eyes closed and hands behind their back.

The person walked in front of him with their eyes closed, and upon taking one look at Parker, they froze up. Through the raising frustration and peaked fear coursing through his veins, Parker managed to grit his teeth before falling to the ground and passing out.

Faith was the person standing in front of him and looked like a real idiot after noticing the fear she put him through. Shocked, she fell to her knees and shouted Parker's name beside his body.

Faith worried: [You better not die, Parker!]

As she was shaking his unconscious body, a sudden ball of heat hit the back of her head and caused her to black out.

Sean walked out from behind a tree with his wand in hand and walked toward the two unconscious bodies laying in the middle of nowhere. He took a big sigh and palmed his face.

Sean: [Shit.]

-

Sean sat beside the two as the moon set and the suns rose. The birds awoke from their slumber and filled the skies with their beautiful songs. Surprisingly, the sky was bright blue and cloudless. The blue from the grass changed back to a normal green, and the healer laying beside him woke up. After a simple rub to the eyes, Parker smiled at how nice it was to have good eyesight. Without even noticing Sean, Parker stood up and looked at the beautiful sky.

Sean: [You'll need glasses again if you keep that up.]

Parker turned around and saw Sean laying beside Faith. The bowl-haired wizard sat peacefully in his blue outfit.

Parker: [Have I ever told you how fucking ugly you look in blue?]

Sean chuckling: [Kill yourself, man.]

Parker chuckled as he made his way to Sean.

Sean: [I didn't keep you guys safe just to get roasted.]

Parker looked down at Faith's resting body with a hint of hatred.

Sean noticed Parker's expression but didn't do anything about it. Rather, he turned back to the plain and tried to keep himself awake.

Sean: [Don't hate him for what he did yesterday. It wasn't on purpose.]

Parker: [Purpose or not, he nearly gave me a fucking heart attack. I could've died.]

Sean: [You aren't in the same dysfunctional body as before. It would take more than that to kill a healthy person.]

Parker let out a small groan and looked down at the grass below his ankles.

Sean: [We didn't spend this much time looking for him just to kill him and turn back.]

Faith groaned from the ground and rose just like Parker. After a couple of seconds of rubbing her eyes, she noticed Sean and Parker sitting beside her in clothes she hasn't seen before.

Faith tired: [Is that a new hat?]

She slid her hands into her shirt pockets. Sean did nothing but smile softly at her.

Parker: [Alright, we're back together at last.]

He stood up and dusted off his cloak.

Parker: [Now we can find the others.]

Faith: [What? I thought you guys wanted to live a peaceful life in Leviere. Seeing you guys this far from it surprised me.]

Sean: [Don't get me wrong, I'm down to live a peaceful life whenever. It's just that this fat ass won't let me.]

Faith giggled a little bit and gave Sean a smile. Sean chuckled back and slapped Faith on the back.

Faith: [Okay! I know a city nearby. There I was able to restock on food and supplies, hence my new shirt!]

She did a slight twirl to show off her new clothes, but none of the two seemed impressed.

Parker: [You leveled up a ton, huh?]

Faith: [Oh yeah!]

She pulled out her inventory.

Faith: [I reached the level cap for my class earlier. Apparently sorceress' can only reach level 25 before needing to use the Maxina.]

Sean: [The mani-wha?]

Faith raised her head, closed her inventory, and gave blank stares to Parker and Sean.

Sean: [If you expect us to know what that means, you're out of luck.]

Faith concerned: [What are your level caps?]

The both of them shrugged, causing Faith to slam the palm of her hand onto her forehead and groan.

Faith: [For people that claimed me as deadweight, you guys got nothing done.]

Sean slightly angered: [We were focused on our financial stability. Not our fault we weren't banished.]

Faith gave him a dull stare and then sighed.

Faith: [You guys need to gain more knowledge on your class. That way you learn more spells, find mentors, and so much more!]

She threw her hands into the air and shouted.

Faith: [This world is so well put together! Better than any MMORPG I've ever played.]

Parker: [You kinda nerded out there, buddy.]

Faith lowered her hands and apologized with a bow.

Parker: [Yeah, you wanna take us to this city you found?]

Faith: [Yeah, sorry about that. It's the capital of Jime. Follow me!]

Faith took the two of them out of the woods and walked on the dirt path that Sean and Parker were on before getting lost. They continued on that path until the day turned to dawn. On the path, they seemed to have gotten sidetracked by countless different friendly animals; one of which resemble a Golden Retriever puppy that Parker quickly fell in love with. He happened to tame it with a piece of left-over steak handed to him by Zack.

Naming the palm-sized puppy after his dog in the normal world, he chose the name Rosy. After placing her on his shoulder, he laughed as it licked his cheek. Parker hasn't genuinely enjoyed himself as much as he is at the current moment. Despite her fear of dogs, Faith managed to settle down and smile.

What a wholesome moment in this terrifying magic world.

They continued their journey to the capital of Jime, but it wasn't long until the sun set and the demons began to rise from the ground.

Sean terrified: [Thanks to our short pitstop, demons are spawning.]

Sean had problems with bringing a dog along with them. Not only did he think it was a hassle to take care of, but it could also potentially cause real harm to the three of them. Though Parker refused, Sean didn't throw a big fit. He just sighed and went along with it.

Something is changing in Sean, and Faith seems to be the only one noticing it. While walking behind them, Faith got a good glimpse at their status bars. She didn't say much of anything, but her narrowed eyes and sigh were enough to expose her disappointment.

Faith in her head: [Normally, the Healer's level cap is around level 50, but that's only because a healer turns into a Cleric. I can understand if he was around level 30... but level 17?]

Faith sulked some more.

Faith: [Sean isn't that great either. How is being level 19 going to help him with anything?]

While peacefully walking down the same pathway, Rosy suddenly started frantically barking at the sky. Parker tried his best to calm her, but a sudden shake on the soil beneath them made them begin to shiver.

Parker: [Holy shit! What the fuck was that?!]

Rosy jumped off his shoulder and continued barking at the empty sky.

Faith began to chuckle as her amulet shined a bright purple.

Sean: [Aren't demons not supposed to engage in combat unless threatened?!]

Faith grinning: [Some demons go against their code. Demons that are strong enough to go against their special conditions are known as Ultras.]

A purple lightning-like substance zapped around Faith's body.

The enormous hairy foot of a 60 feet tall cyclops shook the ground they stood on. Stomping right in front of their faces, the smell of foot fungus filled the air, yet Faith remained with a smile. The lighting that zapped around her began to fade away and reappear like normal lighting would. Rather than like an aura, it was more like a lighting struck lighting tower.

Parker: [WHY AREN'T WE RUNNING RIGHT NOW?!]

Faith: [Because!]

She turned around and looked at him. Her eyes had completely blacked out, leaving no trace of their previous color; along with her amulet levitating above her chest.

Faith: [I want to show you guys what I'm capable of.]

Parker stared at her while cringing. He wanted to say something, but he wasn't really in the position to do so. Sean had already run away from the scene, but he didn't make it that far. With sweat charging down his forehead, he ran as fast as he could to get away from there. All this without saying a single word.

With a swing of her arm, a large spike rose from the ground and pierced right through the giant's foot. Its blood seeped down the spike like water droplets on a window. Faith suddenly disappeared into thin air leaving behind traces of the purple lighting where she previously stood. Parker's eyes widened in fear as the thought of what she did last night filled his mind.

He didn't want to die. Not in this world and not like this.

It wasn't until Faith's figure reappeared floating behind the head of the Ultra that he had a sense of hope. The clouds in the sky slowly transformed into cumulonimbus' that shot a burst of thunder, overriding the groaning of the giant cyclops.

Faith: [Heaven's Wrath!]

The clouds shot a bolt of lightning into Faith's hand and allowed her to wield it like a harpoon. However, the second the bolt touched her it started to change its color, matching the lighting that zapped around her.

Seeing someone holding a bolt of lightning petrified Parker, leaving him speechless and in awe. Rosey seemed the same way as she stopped barking the moment Faith vanished.

With the purple harpoon bolt, Faith chuckled at the giant cyclops and watched it cut right through its skull and come through its only eye within a millisecond. Only after the clouds returned to their normal state did the blood begin to gush out of the cyclops and land on top of Parker and his Golden Retriever.

Faith safely landed back on her feet and walked over to Parker with a grin.

Faith excited: [Level 15 Ultras are a piece of cake!]

Parker looked up at him while still covered from head to toe in Cyclops blood.

Faith: [We should get you cleaned before you attract any other Ultras. Before we go...]

She looked around and lost her smile.

Faith: [Where did Sean go?]

While searching, they suddenly could hear his voice coming from no source.

Sean: [I can see why Zack was scared of keeping you in the city!]

Faith: [Sean?! Where did you go?]

Sean: [I found the capital you were talking about!]

His response shocked Faith and Parker.

Sean: [Walk towards my voice and you will–]

Faith accidentally walked right through an invisible portal before Sean could finish his sentence.

Faith chuckling: [Whoa!]

She looked at Sean with wide eyes.

Faith: [You touched the surface of teleportation already! That's a wizard for you.]

Parker's dog jumped through the portal and Parker followed after.

Faith: [You don't happen to have a "Nature's Beauty" type spell, do ya?]

Sean: [From Konosuba?]

He looked at Parker's bloodstained body and grew disgusted.

Faith took the three of them over to William's home. Taking them there through the populated capital was super awkward, and the weird stares they would get from the people kind of creeped them out. Though it was understandable, staring at someone covered in Cyclops blood is disrespectful.
